That might be okay for the 7 & 9 year olds, but definitely NOT the 2 year old. Even 5 is pushing it. Barbies, Play-Doh sets, dress-up clothes, Polly Pockets, Little People sets, etc. would all be good.
My 6 and (almost) 9 year old daughters have been playing with Bratz for a few years now. I agree that some (okay, most) of the clothing is inappropriate. However, my girls know that WE don't wear clothing like that and they just have fun playing with them. They have even told me "We don't wear shirts that show our tummies. They are inappropriate!" It's just a toy.
Personally, I'd pass on the Slurpee machine. Those kinds of things are usually not what they're cracked up to be, and the novelty tends to wear off pretty quickly. Waste of money, if you ask me.
Not a darn thing! Half the time, it's a substitute carrier and we NEVER know what time the mail is going to be here. We've gotten it as late as 3:00 in the afternoon. The mail carrier also broke the flag off my first mailbox -- she hung a heavy bag on a PLASTIC mailbox flag because she was too lazy to bring it up to the porch!! I left a little note for her the next day....
Exactly! I would be furious if those cousins ruined it for your daughter. Three years old is practically a baby! And why on earth would you EVER tell your child there is no Santa Claus??? Let them figure it out on their own...
I went to Walmart today and they had at least 25 of those big 2 ft. Superman figures by the entryway, still selling for $15. I also saw at least 10 Dora tv/dvd players. Not sure about the price on those, though.
