My daughter will be 9 on Dec. 27th. We have her "friend" party a week or two before her actual birthday. This year, she had it on the 16th. Then, on the 27th she will get her gifts from family. It is celebrated the same as my younger daughter's birthday, which is in September.

It's not unusual for toys to be hard to find a week or two before Christmas. You snooze, you lose! LOL

I can't stuff the stockings yet. They're hanging up and it would look a little strange if they were suddenly filled -- after all, Santa hasn't even come yet!

Nothing goes under the tree until after the girls are asleep on Christmas Eve. Last year we tried putting out the gifts "from us" ahead of time, and then the "Santa" gifts after they fell asleep, but I think it's more exciting for them waking up on Christmas morning and seeing that pile of presents that wasn't there went they went to bed the night before!
