The WM by my handed out tickets once inside the door. The problem was the mad rush to the bck of the store to get the tickets. That is when people were pushing and running and falling. Once the tickets were passed out though you have until a certain time to pick up the item. That avoided things not getting sold. Plus the items I think need a ticket are the very limited doorbusters like the big screen TV WM had last year for $498 (unsure of exact price). Plus if you have been in line for hours upon hours you should be the one to get the item, not someone twenty people back in line that pushes their way in.

I have been lucky because we end up with a third pay day in November. I usually use that as my BF spending. I also try to buy a little at a time up until BF. If I find a better sale then I can just return the original item. I get things I don't think will have a huge sale or specialty stores. That leaves less spending for BF since that is when I do most of my shopping

I think WM and BB had one or two on sale last year. I can't remember if they were DB items or not. I wouldn't mind getting oe for DH if they have a good sale.

I had trouble with MIr also. They sent it back to me after month saying I didn't have the required papers which I did. When I tried to call they told me it was too late to get the rebate even though it was their mistake

When the dorbusters are all in one place there is pushing and shoving. It would be one big pile up if there was only one in each location....If I wasn't after the item it would be fun to watch.

And since GDers are true BF shopaholics they will be out there anyways:yup:

When the original CPK came out my mom had someone grab one out of her hands. She got in a tugging match for it and my lil sis still has it to this day:D

I have a WM, Kohls, KM, Sears hardware, and Target about 10 minutes away as well as many smaller stores. I am glad I don't have to go far especially since I always have to stop at home and unload

Waiting for BF is more exciting than waiting for Christmas:D

I usually work the night before so I hit Kmart on my way home. Usually I go just to go.

This year we may have to open presents Christmas Eve due to the fact that I may have to work Christmas day. I do 12s so I wouldn't get home until 8p. Traditionally we open presents on Christmas day.

It is expensive but it is also a tradition.

If they expect lower sales then maybe that will encourage better sales then in years past. One could only hope.

hot wheels cars are usually in there somewhere. My DD3 likes cars so I am hoping for a cheap race track set for Hotwheels or matchbox

We go a lot of the accessories for the dollhouse at TRU prior to the holidays for B2G1 free. That was about the best sale we found last year.

KMart is the only place around us that is open on T-day. I have never really found any good sales then. It all depends on what you are looking for.

On the other hand, I have never been offered money for a ticket that I wasn't already planning on using. I guess I am not really sure what I would do if the situation actually arose.

I would feel guilty doing that. I wouldn't want that to happen to me if the person in front of me was the last to get a ticket and then sold it to someone else. Last year people were offering us money to get the ticket for the TV at WM but no one in line would do it. They all agreed it wasn't fair to those behind us. But to each his own.

TRU is already starting the B2G1 free sales. We picked up a lot of things last year at those sales. Just a thought for anyone who wants to pick up a few things early.:)
