  1. Jeep Wrangler soft-top. Chris has been able to get pretty much front row parking with the ability to squeeze into places that only a Wrangler or a Motorcycle can get to. Who needs space for doors to open when you can take the doors off or even the top off. It doesn't get that cold down here and Chris is from Virgiia so he is used to colder temps.
  2. sorry, was getting my Vampiress up to lvl 49 last night while waiting for Chris to come home from the bar. He went to a poker game that started at 9.....2-3 hours later he wins first place....a 45.00 bar-tab! Go him but the timing could have been better. He is good friends with the bartender so they are going to let him carry over the tab for a bit.
  3. for those of us tha tposted for the first contest and didn't win, do we have to post again or are the posts still good?
  4. The ING Orange account is listed at 3.15%
  5. Very nice but I am not tempted by anything under 12x optical zoom. lol. This Panasonic DMC-FZ30/20/5 research has really jaded me.
  6. ah, okay. sorry, it has been a really long day.
  7. wasn't there a 75.00 GC option there? am I just missing it or something?
  8. that check list was the COOLEST! you checked off the items you wanted and then you could print the list out, have it each store seperated and only those checked items. Made it all very streamline and very simple for hubby to understand.
  9. Sorry Debbie! I completely didn't think of toys. Think I was about ready for the kids to go to bed and put them out of my mind for a couple of minutes. lol
  10. in this BF and past BF's what is it that you seem to start your search on.....
  11. it is a toss up between -searching and planning for it all -giving Chris the list and then rolling over and going back to sleep once he leaves at 4 in the morning. -carrying it all in once he brings it home.
  12. I don't know. I go by this site 100% for anything. I may look through the fillers once we get them but it is just to show them to Chris so he will know what the item LOOKS like. lol. But, the planning and selecting and the pricing all evolve from this site. I might even be able to skip the fillers this year since Chris' work computer system is a little more lax in the sites the employees can get to.
  13. Not to mention the best people running it!
  14. Chris went into Sears a day or two before BF to map out where everything was going to be at and the sales people there told him he could buy the stuff he wanted and then just bring the recipts back on BF during when the sales were going on and just take them to the curtosey desk and he would get the money refunded. The only other trick we have is that Chris just about always takes the Jeep wrangler on BF.....he has been able to basically park front row because a normal car wouldn't be able to get in the places a motorbike or wrangler could get into. Who needs to have room to open the doors when you can take off the top and climb down that way (or even have the doors completely off!)
  15. We got a surround sound from Sears last year. A down comforter from OVerstock.com (brought on by the fact that they were a cheaper price than the Sears BF price), a couple of bras from Sears. The car thingy from RadioShack and a Sears toolbox travel thingy as well.
  16. do we have the little ticker thingy like we did with the other Donation Deals one....telling how much money has been raised so far....?

    BF tip

You might want to check with your stores closer to BF, we only did this last year and so I am not sure if ALL of them are like that. Anyway, we had quite a few things to get from Sears last BF and so I sent Chris in a few days early (I think the day before thanksgiving) so he could get a lay-out of the store and possably find out where some of the more major items on the list were going to be at (ie. his surround sound unit). While he was there talking to the sales clerk, they told him that he could purchase everything right then and just come into the store on BF morning with his receipt and take it to the desk and they would refund the money that he would have saved. Needless to say, buying everything he could a day before Thanksgiving and then going back into the store an hour after it opened on Black Friday and only having to go to the Service Desk with only his reciepts was a lot less of a headache than having to go through everything. Granted, yes, if we could have gotten the same deals online it would have been much easier but I am not sure if the deal did apply online. Just thought I would offer this up for anyone who is dreading the lines and the fights and stuff. Chris can't get off work this BF but, if we get anything, we are going to try this method again and then he will just get into work an hour or so late.
  19. LOCKED! It is way too confusing to have the posts open and epopel posting to them but half of the posts are last years topics. Leave them up so newbies can see them but lock them up tight.
  20. the only thing on my list, and I can get this at anytime, is a new electric mattress pad for the winter. maybe some new flannel sheets but that is about it.
  21. Thanks for the recommendations. I will have to look those up. I don't really print out the pics any.....I have picturetrail and most everyone that I would want to show the pics to is online already. If I got some REALLY nice shots and once we get the house fixed up to where they would look good blown up and framed (or matted rather) then I would probably take anything to an actual carmera store to get it blown up professionally. I will take these other camers into consideration. MIght be able to get it sooner with lower prices.
  22. actually I have no idea what that offers. I want it for the Zoom. My current 35mm camera goes up to 220 and I use it a lot as binoculars than for taking pictures. A lot of stuff in VA is up on hills and so you have to be at a distance to get it otherwise you can't hardly see it when you are right next to it. Plus, I use the camera at Alexis' gym class A. for me to see her with and B. to take some action shots but mainly for the zoom feature. We haven't been able to find a larger lens attachment for the camera to give me more zoom and we are also thinking that the price of a larger lens would probably be right around the same price as a new camera with a larger zoom.
  23. Great prices you two! When I get the money to get either one then I will transfer my points like promised.
  24. Hey, we all know THAT has happened before. I know its not going to happen in this year, but it is nice to dream. lol Okay, more realistic.....I can get it off eBay for 577.from GBP (yes, the 577 is the exchange price).....if anyone can find it for 100.00 less than that......
