  1. I am not sure if this is the right place for this topic but....Check your area to see if you have a SEARS SCRATCH and DENT store. We got our Washer and Dryer from one and we got a GREAT discount because of a scratch on the INSIDE of the lower drawer of the washer! So, check to see if you can do better at that store instead of the actual SEARS store on BF.
  2. will this work on Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban?
  3. Man, it is way too late for me to be up! Hi Ross! Okay, Hi, my name is Leah. I am in Jacksonville, FL- home of Super Bowl 39! I am married to Chris, an ex-Assistant Controller (he is currently on a "hiatus" from doing accounting work until who knows when.) I love GottaDeal because they have helped me spend money and yet they are showing me cool things to show Chris that he won't mind if I buy them! I have never been to a site like this so I would say you guys are way above your competitors! I am SO excited for Black Friday! I am not sure if Chris is though since he is the one that has to go out and do my bidding but I am excited enough for the both of us and then some! I wouldn't mind seeing what you guys would have in the form of a grocery forum. I currently use the Grocery Game and it does really good (when I remember to clip the coupons!) and even Chris is impressed so that is saying a lot! Okay, so I have the VCR to record my shows at midnight (Full Metal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell) so I am off to bed! NITE ALL!
  4. My one gift would be the Surround sound system for Chris. He has been wanting one for a really long time and, once he gets them, he has already told me that I can pick out the thingies to hang/hold them up.
  5. What is on your list that isn't on mine? The one I am seeing is pretty clean cut- you have the store, the item and price and then a check box.....
  6. Tomorrow: If there is only ONE thing you are allowed to get this year, what would it be (doesn't matter who it is for, but it can just be ONE thing!)
  7. I am sure Patrick was thinking the exact same thing, Ross. we went one time when he was a lot younger and Chris' entire family was there and Patrick started getting fussy and BIL was holding him and the waitress took him and he quieted down IMMEDIATELY! the minute the waitress handed Patch back to BIL he started crying again!
  8. HA Trust me, I KNOW! Patrick was in one of his Cry for no reason moods this morning while I was making them breakfast. Just what I LOVE to deal with at 8:30 in the morning!
  9. With our food off of the Barbie, we are going to cook up some Bratzwurst.... :lol
  10. I would have done more but I am pretty much basing what we want for Christmas by what will be onsale for BF (except for the LP+Writing) so I was drawing a blank on pretty much everything!
  11. Whenever Alexis leaps like a frog I know that she is ready to start writing her name. Pretty soon the wonderful sounds of Christmas will surround us in the home even though the weather will probably be warm.(okay, so that is backwards....)
  12. THANKS! I will keep that in mind!
  13. Sounds like fun! 14 days.....woohoo! which means only 14 days until Patrick's 2nd birthday! From last year.....http://pic7.picturetrail.com/VOL201/1918013/4249169/72865251.jpg Maybe for tomorrow we can incorporate one thing that we want into our discussion...but it has be creative, not like "I am getting xxx on BF...." has to be a little more involved than that.....?
  14. Yeah, without kids you can sprint there! I know what you mean though. Alexis is almost 4 and Patrick will be 2 on BF so I know the feeling!
  15. I have a Sears Card too! But, since I can't drive, I have to stay home and watch the kids (unless I can talk Chris' parents to watch them if they come down from VA) and the Sears card is only in my name. Chrsi has a CC as well but it is a Jeep Visa. So, I am planning on paying off as much of his CC with MY CC and that way he will have an empty CC to shop with and I won't have to be there. if I can get his parents to watch the kids then I won't have to pay off his CC and we will just use mine. One thing that never changes will be the vehicle we take- JEEP WRANGLER! You can't beat being able to go over curbs and parking between a tree and light pole that only another Wrangler or a motorcycle can fit though! The weather is usally warm enough down here that we take the top off and that way can stack a lot better. Besides, Chris is from VA, he can stand cooler temps better than me. :lol Right now though, Chris' uncle is using our Jeep so we are going to steal it from him on Thanksgiving Day that way we can get everything ready.
  16. I know there is the thread about what stores will you be hitting this BF and I know several of us, me included, answered before the deals even came out, mainly based on what the deals were last year. So, how have your stores changed since the lists have come out.... For us, this year it looks like we will mainly be hitting Sears and that is about it. Last year I had Chris hit TRU for the kidsa nd that was the only store. The year before, Walmart. I am not sure if it is more that the deals at Sears are better or if our shopping "views" have changed. After buying the kids a lot of toys last year (it being Patrick's first Christmas and the first Christmas Alexis really understood) and found that they only play with a select few. This year, it looks like we will be shopping mainly for us, bad i know but it is all about compromis right? :) So, what stores have changed for you?
  17. WOOHOO! Yeah, don't know if it was just me but the system was REALLY slow all day yesterday. Is this another ploy to suck people in so they can't escape once BF is over? This is the "Trap" forum isn't it!?! I knew it!!! Eh, oh well.
  18. We used to get GMR but I am not sure if they gave out demos or not.
  19. Too funny! Moto I am visually imapaired to the point of legally blind even with glasses but you wouldn't be able to tell unless I told you. I sent an email to Chris earlier today that, through the Florida Chapter of Foundation Fighting Blindness you can get a validation card saying that you are legally blind as per the State of Florida (not to meniton a free Fishing license! ) So, I might just get that before BF to prove if anyone has any questions. I have had my handicapped placard for the car for almsot a year now and I have been questioned 3 times at Walmart. I don't drive but I usually help Chris get the kids in and the groceries loaded in the car and I guess the rent-a-cops and such thought that if you are handicapped you aren't supposed to be doing that...it is still funny to me though to see the rejected faces on these guys when they can't bust someone for parking illegaly.

    I hate black Friday

"BLACK FRIDAY: The REALITY" Follow around, a family of 6- a mother and father team with a 16yo girl, a 12yo son, and 5yo boy/girl twins. What will they get for Black Friday. Will they find the deals they want? Will they SURVIVE!? Find out soon! and to make things more interesting, they can't order ANYTHING online and they can't get relatives to do anything for them but babysit."
  21. Thanks Brad. I will keep an eye out for it then.
  22. Does anyone know if the Koss 6.1 DVD home theater system that will be at 129.99 on BF will be available online for that same price? And, I just wanted to thank you guys for the ease of use with all of this....I have NEVER seen Chris so approving when I am looking at stuff to buy!

    Hot toys

my step mom used to collect cabbage patches. I had one- a boy with blue eyes and a bald head. checked out Target today (needed some warmer running clothes) and took a look at their Leap Pad stuff. So cool, the LP+Writing is for ages 4-8 and was only 50.00 with 2 books included! Alexis will be 4 in Jan. so my gameplan is now to get it for her for Christmas and keep it to the 2 books and then, for her birthday in Jan. tell relatives to get her the other books if she likes it enough. This si going to be a car only toy- I don't want Patrick breaking it or tearing the books or anything like that quite yet.

    Black Friday

Ours does that as well AND has an employee standing by it....even during regular store hours the employee stayed there and they had the area blocked off and you had to tell the employee what you wanted- each of the MAJOR sales were on pallets out in the middle of the store so.....
