LOL, these have got me laughing! My kids have been pretty average in their requests. My little one who is 8 every year asks for sheets. That was weird to me, but she loves to be snuggled in bed! My son the other day spent some of his Christmas money on hot cocoa. He saw a box was on sale for $1 so he bought 3 boxes. I went into his room the other day and all his books are on the floor and his desk is covered in hot cocoa packets!

Clothes from Aero would be good- nicer but cheap brand. Claires accessories. CD's or MP3 player. Room decor- books- what is she in to? The dad, what does he do? Work boots? Boot warmer (dont know where you are), fishing, hunting, sports...the men are full of endless possibilities but they are all so different. And kudos for doing what you are- I would love to be able to adopt a family. It is a goal of mine to be financially stable enough to give a great Christmas to another family.

I agree here- I grew up liking all kinds of music and listening to some maybe mom and dad should not have allowed. But I let my kids choose alot of the music they listen to as long as it isnt completely full of cursing! My 13 yr old loves lil wayne, Pink, TI, Rhianna, etc. My 8 yr old is the only one listening to HSM, and the Jonas Brothers so it really depends on what your daughter is into and how mature her music taste is or is allowed to be. Maybe take a peak at what she has now- we could get a better idea.

You will never see a coupon! Same with A&F. I have found though if your girls are smaller- I find jeans in the kids A&F for about $20 cheaper than the womans side. She can wear a 16 slim and it is the same as her 0 in womens.

Haha, I am there with you! It is nice to have the necessities over and now have fun!

In the future one thing I try to get my family to do is maybe send a little card in the card updating addresses, emails, births, etc. Some years nothing changes, but when you are spread across the country things like that make it helpful to stay caught up.

Well, I mailed mine out Friday on my way to the stores!

Hmm thats weird. Mine had a big flash with an electrical sound and was done. Of course we had a house destroyed due to a fire about 5 years ago and the kids still get completely anytime there is a hint of fire, so we had to get them calmed down and reassured it was done. These are the times I am thankful I haven't found a home to buy yet...just call the property management!

No problems there for me- but TRU I grabbed a shirt marked $9 and it was 50% off. It rang up at $6something- I said, oh that should have been 9 and then half off, and she says yah, its $6. I was like...um No. Its ringing up $6 when it should be $4.50. Shes like so you dont want it? I said YAH I do want it for $4.50! It took her a minute to get a manager who could do math and they adjusted it. I mean the $9 price was on the original tag and all- imprinted, not even a sticker...

Who knows....lol

Ouch- sounds like my sisters wedding. We had so many people staying at my moms the sewer line backed up. No toilet, no dishes, no dishwasher for over 24 hours. My dad bless him fixed it thank goodness!

Haha, last year my husband left a paper towel inside the turkey...why he had it in there in the first place is beyond me....

That stinks! I was so bummed yesterday- I had gotten there and it was too crazy and when I came back they were gone. When I went to checkout some lady walked over to a pile of restock and pulled one out in front of me! I was like nooooo! Have you looked anywhere else?

My oven died as we took the turkey out and put in the sweet potatoes, stuffing and green bean casserole. So yah...microwaved thanksgiving dinner. Yum...

I think you were at mine lol! I had a couple ladies in line with no toys too who were laughing at that fact. Good deal though!

I called my TRU today and asked if they had anymore of the ramps in stock. I referred to them as the $14.99 one. She said yes, there were 4. So I bolted out of the house drove 30 minutes, get there and they tell me they have been out. I said well, Trish just told me there were 4- so lets find one! They got Trish and bless her heart, she went out back and dug. I stood there for 35 minutes and she comes out with all 4- turns out they were never unloaded off the semi. I get to the register and it rings up $35...my heart sank. I was sure they were part of the 2 day and not a doorbuster, but they looked through the ad and sure enough it was a doorbuster. The manager happened to be right there and he had seen me with Trish earlier, so he says- oh Trish helped you with that right? I said yes, and he just assumed she had promised me the price and changed it to $14.99! Needless to say, I took my receipt and almost ran! I will have to write her a thank you and send it to her manager! Without her they would have just said, nope no more!

Well I got to listen to some lady talk about everything going on in her family, including someone in jail, someone who cant keep a job or her legs crossed, about her working 12 hour days and putting a 50in flat screen on her bfs card without asking. Then another woman talking about how no one else knows how to raise kids and you shouldnt put your kids in the Toys R Us diapers, its gross and yadayadayada...

Thanks Brad and the crew! I am here year round and love all the deals I find by visiting daily! Can't wait for BF next year already, but I will be shopping here all year anyways!

Well my plan was to start at Bealls at 4:00am. They had 50% off of clearance- for those who are unfortunate to not have a Bealls, they sell a lot of name brand clothes, shoes and home decor for great prices, but is also a nice store, not tore up! Well I see there are only a couple people there and Wally is right next door letting people in as they are 24 hours. I went in, they asked what I was there for and gave me a map with all the items written on it- very helpful! Everyone was crowded around the pallet with the items they wanted, they could not take anything off until 5am. I noticed a basketball hoop I was wanting to get at Kmart- and it was only $5 more here. I grabbed that as it was not shrink wrapped, checked out and headed back to Bealls. I got $175 in clothes for $35! I was psyched! Made it back to Wally at 5:06 and the pallets were dumped over, sweatshirts and pajamas all over the floors, people running. I got my airhogs and HSM dolls and headed to Toys R Us. There, I spent most of the time looking for a spot and when I got inside they did not have the skate ramp I wanted, and the checkout line was up and down all the aisles through the whole store so I left! Made it to Target by 5:50- waited in the road as the line wrapped the front and the side of the building and into the road. Got in, got some games and ran- place was too crazy and really unorganized. Went to Old Navy, was bored, and went back to Toys R Us. I got a bunch of games, the Nerf Dart set, and the Polly Cruise Ship. Since the line went through the store, I also picked up a lot of clothes at 50% off....now I know why they take their sweet time checking us out! Left there and was spent, physically and economically! Oh, I came home and ordered the list of Hollister and AE clothes I was informed I should have under the tree! Overall, not bad. Was bummed I was by myself, my husband used to go, and my sisters who are in VA now. Luckily I have had most of the shopping done, so everything I got today was a bonus. I really want my darned skate ramp though!

The Target I worked at never had anything in stock! On BF we were out of most toys within an hour. That alone has made me never have trust in their stock levels. Last year at another Target, we went for the big lego set and got one, and that was the only one they had. Maybe different areas are better ran I guess!

I am going to try to get them to match Kmarts Basketball system, but going to look and see what stops I could cross off the list by getting them there. What is everyone gonna get matched?

I have a question- in my case I would like to try to price match a basketball hoop in Kmarts ad. Now, the ad reads $59.99 Portable Basketball Systems. And it has a pic of one. No models, nothing- the pic says lifetime on the board, but the ad says systems. What do you think about this?

Ugh... I am trying to decide what to do. I really would like to get the Basketball hoop for $59. I have to hit Bealls at 4 and Wally at 5, then straight to Kmart. What are the chances if I get to Kmart at 6 and go in with everyone, that I will leave with the basketball hoop? I wish they would just sell it today, seeing as it is online at that price! I hate KMart, I thought I was done there after today but missed this!
