Thank you for the suggestions so far! We are at a loss. This is the first year chipping in together as my sisters are finally about that age to do so. The funny thing is, they are so different. Mom loves gardening, shopping and reading. Dad loves fishing and flea markets. But when you put them together they bicker...so I am wondering if it would be bad to send them somewhere! Haha, parents...

My parents are in NY, I am in FL with my husband and kids and my 2 sisters are in VA. We are all getting together in FL in January to celebrate Christmas. The 3 of us kids have about $500-600 to spend altogether and would like to give them something to enjoy together. We also wanted to have family pics done, but that is separate. What ideas or gifts have you done?

I always take the kids to a park full of trees. Last year we had to do a palm tree pic, being our first year in FL. This year they were all up in the trees- I loved how they came out. I also love photography altogether though so I am a sucker!

Congrats! I think any company that gives out a bonus is great. I used to work for one! Haha! I left a stressful work environment to help out a new franchise owner and the chances of a bonus are slim to none. My husband also started a new job this year and has heard he will get a bonus equivalent to one weeks pay. I am not counting on it at all, but it would be nice!

I was thinking about getting a train set this year. We always had one as a kid but I never got one when I moved out. I think this is a really cute one and a good price too!

I got the 3 laptops I needed...anything else is a bonus in my eyes! Although I still have to get lots of little things, my mind is at ease knowing those are wrapped and ready to go!

My oldest is January 9th. So she never really gets to have a great party as most kids are just returning from vacations or are on vacation. We implemented the party or one big present rule a couple years ago and that has worked well as she usually goes for a big ticket item and then we don't have to feel bad about no kids coming to a party.

I think there are a lot of good deals, but it all depends on what you are in need of. Not many tv's but the games and legos and toys are what I am there for. I am psyched, just need that darned WalMart...

I hear you, I asked my husband to make sure it was the one I was thinking and it is. Too bad my son only holds interest in them less now than he did a year ago. But I may have to get it for my husband!

We always start every year saying we wont buy each other anything, lets focus on the kids. And then we usually end up buying some things anyways. Nothing big, and alot of the times I will make it from the kids or something.

You do that too? My mother in law asked me if I did and I had never heard of it. I thought she was nuts, and she thought I was nuts. Needless to say suddenly santa brings oranges for the stocking....

I usually make most of them alone, but the kids and I make a huge batch of cutouts. They all apron up and take hours decorating this cookie for this grandma, and this one for that....they love it and the pics are always adorable!
