  1. Ok, my husband just glanced at my computer while I was reading the directions for the magnets and he thought I was looking up recipes. When I said oh no, getting craft ideas for Christmas he was like ohhh noo....already?? Haha, he should really know by now! I was thinking of getting the cards I bought last year out to start addressing! Anyways, those magnets are definitely a must do for me this year- that is so cute! And I have never made the applesauce/cinnamon ornaments so this year it will be! I made the tile coasters last year for my sister and she loved them! I wish I took pics, but I forgot! I found the info in this same thread last year. Basically you purchase the tiles from Lowe's or Home Depot. I got the tumbled kind- they had a nice worn look. I printed out pictures of her children onto vellum. Then I printed out the phrase "live, laugh, love". I used glue to glue the pic and the phrase to each tile. After you let it set, cover the entire tile with modge podge. After that is dry, glue cork to the backs- which I found at Hobby Lobby. The glue seemed to seep through the vellum just enough to see the texture from the tile and they looked really vintage. They were great!
  2. Where can I see the ad for the upcoming week? When I go to the site it says ad for 7/11 but when I click it, its this weeks??
  3. I purchased one, guessing at my husbands size. It was too big, and I immediately ordered a smaller size. They managed to get me the second ring in half the time as the first, with it arriving Christmas eve. (We had exchanged gifts about a week before!) He has worn it since Christmas eve, and it already has quite a few scratches on it. I was surprised it scratched so easily!
  4. That's too bad, my daughter has been bugging for a set!
  5. I love hitting up Target, mostly for their selection of cards. They always have such cute cards, and that is when I stock up for the next year!
  6. In our house, their new pj's they know are from us. On Christmas day, everything is from Santa.
  7. Too funny, you have to love it. I keep hearing Oh yah! I wanted this...I'm like sorry kids it is OVER.
  8. Well my Walmart order shipped at 11:30 last night. This morning is has left NY and went to NJ. But it is somehow supposed to make it to FL today. Hmm...
  9. That is what I am running into as well. When we said pick 3-4 things to go with the cruise, my oldest chose an itouch, futon and a $200 camera. I'm like....
  10. Decided to order the Sims 3 yesterday with gauranteed delivery for the 24th. If it doesn't make it she wills till be happy to have it the following day.
  11. True! And they can still get it here overnight! Crud...I just hope I don't find anything I HAVE to have!
  12. That was my problem too! I kept finding something for one...so I had to add more to the others! I'm locking myself in today...no shopping!
  13. I could not pass up the Sims 3 for $29.99 that was linked on the front page as one of Wal-Mart's last minute deals, and that was it! I am done! Everything is wrapped with the exception of that game, which should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Now...the only problem is I will probably WANT to go buy more. But I am going to hold myself back! How is everyone else doing so far?
  14. This is the first year our kids all know who Santa really is, so it has been a little bit different. Every Christmas Eve the kids get to open presents from Grandparent's that were previously mailed as we have no family living nearby. They also get to open a new pair of PJ's from myself and my husband. Usually we would try to get them to bed early so Santa could come, but we know this year that excuse will not work. We decided to take the opportunity to spend more time together as a family and start a new tradition. We are going to purchase one new Christmas movie each year and wrap that along side their PJ's. Then we will all stay up late snacking and watching that years movie. This will eliminate arguing over what movie to watch! So nothing spectacular here, but I really am looking forward to spending some down time together!
  15. We are giving our kids a cruise, and told them all to plan on getting 4-5 gifts along with it. I think I ended up at 15 or so gifts for each, but some are clothes but some are alot of good things as well. I think they will be pleasantly surprised!
  16. I placed an order about 20 minutes after everything went up. I got 2 of the Vivitar cameras that were in the ad for $59- used the 15% off code and with free shipping paid $109. The site lagged quite a bit and right as it finished processing, logged me out. I immediately checked my bank account and the funds have already been placed on hold so WHEW...big sigh of relief!
