As a former employee of Sears, I can say that we have the most random sales... One week, in the middle of March to just name an example, we can have the greatest sale we have ever advertised, but we've got nothing in January. Just an example.

I'm totally on the eBay boat. As long as you take certain precautions - shop with reputable sellers, pay with PayPal, you should be fine.

Oh! a floppy drive... Well those have wanned in popularity so I doubt anyone will have them on sale for BF... Try Newegg! They have one for $28.50 shipped. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16821103510

How much extra storage do you need? You may be able to get away with just a thumb drive.
-
And it's open 24 hours :).

Great deal.

He's referring to a McDonald's Best Buy Bucks promotion which has now ended. You could have recieved Best Buy certificates in $1 and $3 denominations.

OfficeMax Black Friday Ad Items & SCANS Posted on BF Site
VonnegutFan replied to Brad's topic in 2005
Nevermind, I thought you wrote "more ads posted tonight." -
There is no way they could have 55-60 laptops. HP builds laptops to order. I know that Wal-Mart is probably their best customer, but c'mon, who excepts to move 60 laptops in few hours?

I'm sorry, but this is not accurate. The disc may be perfect for portable gaming/video/mp3, but it has such low capacity (1.8 duak layer, 900MB single layer) that it makes it impractical for larger movies at a eye-pleasing resolution. Secondly, Sony has been extremely hesitant to license the format for use by 3rd parties (with the exception of some).

On a side note, Newegg.com is a fantastic resource for computer hardware. Some items may be cheaper elsewhere, but Newegg has consistently amazing prices and lighting fast shipping. I have recorded over 60 unique transactions (I build computers for friends) and I have NEVER had a problem with Newegg. Did I say the shipping is fast? Because it is!
-
Not to sound like a broken record, but thank you so much. I'm sure that took some time/effort. We all appreciate it.

I think there will be less people at Staples than BB... Neverthless, I'm sure they will only have a few. My guess is around 8...
-
What about catering? No cooking. Simple clean-up.
-
I'm not sure that walmart.com price matches. Cancel the order and get the game from BB.
-
Sony's monitors are spectecular... I mean simply amazing. I cannot over-state this... I'm looking to buy a 19" myself but everytime I go to BB I have to turn around thinking, "Who am I kidding?" Because compared to the Sony's all other monitors look archaic. Too bad Sony's are so pricey.

Target always has such great deals on DVDs. Lost, Sopranos, Simpsons, when will I have thee?! Oh, the agony.
-
I second that. My friend just bought a black RAZR for $99.99 @ Sam's. We didn't even have a membership. You can effectively avoid the rush and pay a measly $11 dollars more.
-
Well of course it did! Amazon is our friend.

Please Can you tell me Cheapest Virgin Mobile Prepaid Card
VonnegutFan replied to davidbugs's topic in 2005
Yes, just a few weeks ago Target had a $20 card for $15, so the cards do go on sale, but I have never seen them on Black Friday. BUT! I use Virgin Mobile as well and if you sign up for an intant top-up according to these stipulations: *Once monthly on a scheduled day *When your balance drops below $5 *Once every 90 days *Instant top-up using a registered credit card through the phone This is all new, as long as you register your credit card and sign up for one of the 4 options above, you can top up with only $15 dollars. -
Never worked BF in retail, but I have worked the day before Thanksgiving as a cashier and bagger in a grocery store. Ouch. I lifted about 300 hundred 20lb turkeys, rang up about $25,000 dollars in sales in a 8 hour shift. Enough of my rant.

Let's just say the auction has been reported.

Question - 1st timer - How does Best Buy Tickets work?
VonnegutFan replied to wifeymiller's topic in 2005
You cannot purchase an item unless you have the ticket, but this is only for the door busters, the laptop, the eMachines system, etc. -
Small electronics and movies. Yay!
