Excuses are futile. The only option is to request the day off way in advance. Most likely not many people in retail will get Thanksgiving AND BF off. Last year I worked in a grocery store, I definately had to work the day before Thanksgiving (living hell in a grocery store) and BF just to get Thanksgiving off.

I'm a college student and let me tell you, everyone at school is obsessed with this series. I bought the DVD at Target for 22.99 with a 5.00 gift card.

That's definately one way to go, but there are some *bleeps* out there who just try to get you to hit your price ceiling, with no intention of buying the item.

I used to work for a natural foods store - $5.49/lb for an organic, fresh turkey. Yes, I know, unbelievble. But you won't believe how many we sold. Apparently quite delicious, but not like I'll know anytime soon :).

You actually don't need to have AOL to use AIM, you can use an AIM client. Either AOL's version or even a third-party's. aim.com trillian.cc

I have never seen these things but maybe you can get a headband/slippers that look very similar? If not then I guess more Barbie items since your child seems to like it.
