My local Target had the Laguna Beach DVD for $13.88 instead of $17.88.

I bought my SP @ Target on Wednesday for the BF price. It even had a sale sign that read "11/23-11/26." I don't know what happened.

Now they have this new policy that if you come to the store, arrive at merch pick-up, and do not recieve your item in 20 minutes or less, they give you a 20 dollar gift card. I'm sorry this happened to you.

Oh, and for anyone interested Paypal is great, I use it all the time :).

Ooops. That's a first! I've never come acorss a rebate like this.

If you send in the rebate you won't be able to return it, sorry. You will need to cut out the UPC symbol and send in the original recepit, two things that are necessary for returns... That's why rebates require those, actually, imagine if you bought items, got money back in the form of a rebate and then had the liberty to return it! :)

Oh, and just to clarify, this happened in 1997, when this particular store had a very liberal return policy... Oh, the good old days.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!!!!! I bought a video card in one of the chain stores and inside was an old dusty 28.8K modem! But the store took it back... People will go to any lenghts... This box was perfectly sealed too... No sign of tempering. Now, however, there are those little windows that display the serial number and the cashier needs to input it in the register at checkout to prevent this form occuring.

Oh man. That's just so stupid. My sister just gave birth (first niece, yay!) and I've become extra senstitive to such things... I would definately disregard any social norms/standards and say something to those people!!

No, I don't find it annoying. I always bring friends and we chat away, people around us get into the conversation, it's great.

How loud is it exactly? The reason why this computer was so inexpensive is because eMachines used the cheapest PSU, fans, etc possible, but it may not be deffective after all.

I believe there are 2 options... 1.) 24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive [included in Price] 2.) 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability [add $89 or $3/month2] If you have a desktop with a dvd burner then I would just go with the first option, if you don't currently own a dvd burner, and would like one, then I would go fot the second option. Be aware, however, that you can buy an internal dvd burner for your desktop PC for around $45 dollars, the one above is $90 dollars, essentially. Depends if you need to burn dvd's on the "go" or if this will be your primary computer.

2 gigs? What did you plan on using this laptop for? :) 1 gig is plenty sufficient.

You should definitely pursue this matter... It is not your problem this was not available online... Completely their fault and they should honor it... Don't take no for an answer... If the camera is all sold out they should offer a similar replacement camera or at least a raincheck.
