This is YMMV since Target ads are regional. For example, my Target ad has Dr Pepper products 3 for $11. Pepsi is not advertised anywhere in the ad.

That's what I have ( 720IS) and it's a great camera. It also has a 6X optical zoom compared to only 2.4X for the S40.

Luckily for you the Walmart CSR was not too technically savvy since Office Depot doesn't even sell the 1080p Olevia 42" LCD. The Target TV for $897 is not the same one Office Depot has on sale for $799. The target one is 1080p, the one at OD is not. Are you sure Walmart didn't just sell you one of their 1080i models for the same price as Target's 1080p? On the outside they're nearly identical!

I have to disagree with you on this issue. In many municipalities the removal of a price tag is considered a form of shoplifting and you can be arrested and banned from the store. It usually falls under the "Intent to Defraud" codes. I was in retail management for many years before changing careers and I can tell you that I personally had several customers detained and arrested when I witnessed them removing price tags. It's not worth it fellow GDers; if you think it should be sold for less than what it's marked then get a manager to give you a better price. Don't take a chance by peeling off a price tag and being stopped by security or management.

Sounds right to me! You wouldn't use the base(stand) if you're mounting it on the wall, therefore they make the base detachable. If you're mounting it on the wall you would need the optional mounting bracket.

My sentiments exactly! When I first saw this ad two days ago I was so underwhelmed I felt like calling Walmart and telling them they should be be PAYING deal sites to post this lame ad instead of threatening legal action to keep it hidden. Maybe the reason they wanted to hide it is because they knew the ad $$ucked!

Judging from all the legal posturing Walmart has undertaken this year to hide such a lame ad, I would have to say that they didn't learn their lesson and are about to repeat the same mistake of the past two years. Surely Walmart has to realize that their BF ad is now widely available on many internet download sites to anyone who takes the time to do a little googling. It's time for Walmart to stop threatening legtimate deal sites like this one over such silliness and concentrate on sharpening their pricing for the holidays. Don't feel jealous because you haven't seen the ad; once you do you'll realize you weren't missing much!

If this year's Walmart BF ad is anything like their BF ad last year I don't think we have to worry about boycotting Walmart; there won't be anything worth going to Walmart for! Last year my nearest Walmart was a ghost town BF morning while the Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City right down the street were packed to the max!

They must have been able to get some of the ads corrected before sending them to the newspapers. The Best Buy ad I got with today's paper has the correct price on the cover ($2,799.99).

Good luck! This promotion has been going on for almost two weeks now (and widely discussed in other deal forums). There's not a single 12-pack left at any of my local Home Depots.
