Its not a huge need. She has an older phone and didn't want to do another contract. It still works fine. My uncle works at Walmart and told her he would do the activation for her the next week, instead of us having to lose valuable shopping time.
-
Yah! Thanks Brad! Now to look at the ad...
-
Springfield, MO is still open too.
-
My mom is wanting to get one of the prepaid phones. How early do you think she needs to line up? We're doing dinner at 2, so if I'm lucky I'll get her to Walmart by 5. Thoughts? I don't usually do electronics, I go for toys and movies.

Awful watermarks but thanks Brad! Is this ad only for the states with Blue Laws? Its on Black Friday and on the tops says "prices valid only Nov 25 in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Maine". Seems strange for them to break with the usual Thanksgiving Day sale, they've done the main sale on Turkey day every year as long as I've been going. I'll be going, BOGO on ASOTV again this year, getting the Rocky Mountain 30oz Tumblers for my DH, and maybe a few other things.

Toys r Us, Dollar General, Bass Pro Shops.
-
Thanks! May have to go there first on Friday, was thinking Bass Pro first. Decisions, decisions.
-
That is the first ad I was waiting for that actually sucked. Nothing interesting and they got rid of my favorite deals, B1G2 wrapping paper and laundry soap. Unless I totally missed them and don't think I did. Only thing I liked was the BOGO on Walgreens brand batteries. Feel like I'm always buying batteries lately (yes, looking at you adorable baby with a zillion battery powered toys.)

Hubby wants the Dewalt drill for 99. DS may like the kids pop-up tent. Do you think those would still be available by late morning? Not taking the baby to any store at opening time.
-
No kid powered rockers or ride ons drat. Tickle Me Elmo is at a good price, the play kitchen for 15 might happen. Pioneer Woman pots and pans are more then last year. But the additional PW stuff will be hot. I like the ad. Is it the best? No, is it decent? Yes.

Not my usual choice of words but it's the truth! Not usually that blunt.

Children's Place is opening at 6pm on Thanksgiving, closing at midnight, then reopens at 6am on Black Friday. There's a sign up in store. Not a big store but thought someone might like the info.
-
Smelly people, please at least put on deodorant people! Or shower! Latecomers getting upset about doorbusters being gone, unattended children. People yelling at tired children. Taking product early. Sure I'll come up with more in a while.
-
Not super impressed. Saw some stocking stuffers in the tools. A few cute clothes but not high on my priority list.
-
Hmm, I missed it then. Thought it was weird that we hadn't heard about it yet. That makes more sense though.
-
I may have to try and stay up tonight. Hopefully Walmart comes out tonight. Curious though, did Brad not get the usual legal letter or did I miss it? Not liking the rebates. Ace ad has a few stocking stuffers for the hubby, and Target actually may get me on Friday. Decent ads in my opinion so far.
-
Never did Target but saw some things I may be interested in. Liked the Tonka Truck and the kids clothes; NFL throw for my nephew. Would those possibly be online? Opinion?

No help on the teenagers, aside from maybe a new wallet? New phone charger/case? 2year old; bath toys (Munchkin makes a bath time fishing pole set, could take it out of the package if the packaging doesn't fit) Bathtub crayons, etc. Small stuffed animal Crayons Light up bouncy ball Stickers Pretend cell phone (impulse buy section at Walmart checkout) Cars

2 hours ahead at Walmart. There are years I would have been earlier but my shopping companions always vetoed me.

Where are you going first this year on Black Friday/Thanksgiving?
MariahA replied to Rockfordmom's topic in 2017
Well Dollar General first at when they open in the morning. Then be at Walmart an hour before they open. Go home after Walmart, then venture out again in the morning to Bass Pro, TRU, Barnes and Noble, and the mall. Not sure what order for Black Friday morning besides the mall being last! -
Thanks for the answer wittenlover, (and everyone else, my refresh didn't work so didn't see how many people answered me!) was just curious. Unless I did it online it won't happen I'm sure but they do look nice and comfy, looked it up in the ad.

Every year I rebuy/get more; Rubbermaid at WM because we've usually lost or broken most of the last set. Won't have to this year, still have most of last year's in the box! Coffee pot, always need at least one new one sometime during the year. Towels at Walmart, cheap but perfect size for drying hair and using with the baby. Cheap movies, going to try not to this year but say that every year. Some form of pajamas, either a new set or just new sleep pants. $4 Dickies work socks!! Restock my DH every year, get 3packs and he's usually set! The new season of BBT every year. Think that's all.... Wait! And I try to replace pillows each year. Now a question, are these Big One throws really nice or what's the deal with them? I've never went to Kohl's on BF so never have seen them.

No likey the rebates but I liked the clothes sales and I saw a pair of boots I really want.

I usually start out at Walmart with my mom. We also usually do Walgreens together and sometimes Dollar General. My sister goes in her own vehicle to Walmart but she has our list and we have hers. We usually meet up a couple times in Walmart to swap things or watch each others carts for bathroom breaks. A few years I tagged along with my sister to the mall on BF morning but that's been awhile now. Before I had my own car. Last year my sister and I were supposed to meet at Dollar General and do opening there. Miscommunication, I went to the one by her house and she went to the one by my house. It all worked out though, grabbed my must have from that store then went to the one my sister was at. Her MIL is a huge BF shopper too, she had 2 carts full at Dollar General. She's kind of in our BF team too, always run into each other and we help her she helps us get things. My husband's the same way! Thinks I'm nuts every year.

No sitter so it's either take him or skip it. And he's EBF so where I go he goes for the most part. I'd never take him at opening but honestly with all the sales starting on Thursday, most places are like any other shopping day on Black Friday, albeit busy. Not taking him when he hits old enough to remember what I buy, so this year and next year are probably it til he's older.
