  1. Glad to see an ad but not overly impressed. Saw a very few maybes for stocking stuffers and I want the anti fatigue mats but not enough to go just for those.
  2. Peek a Boo Elmo for 30ish. Come on Barnes and Noble toy sale! Not paying $45 for that thing, even if it does make DS so happy when he sees it. The one with the blanket, not the cheaper one that one says like 3 phrases, those are 20 but don't like them. The nice Peek a Boo Elmo that doesn't sound as annoying. The new Beauty and the Beast for 10ish.
  3. I'm a preschool teacher, been in the mood for Christmas music the last few weeks so I put on an instrumental Christmas mix in my classroom last week. Had one of my kids ask me, "Christmas music please?" Today when I started to put on something else. So Christmas music it was. I've also gotten the all started on "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and on singing "Jingle Bells". ☺
  4. Well, this year we even tossed the kids names into the extended family swap so only 2 gifts there instead of 8+. Convinced my DH's siblings to draw names so cut that down from 5 to 2. Add in parents, our DS, and a set of grandparents, to make 12-13 if you count myself and my husband. Much more manageable, especially since I'll be becoming a SAHM soon, our income is going to go down. And we're building a house, don't need to buy tons of stuff this year. Quality over quantity.
  5. Harbor Freight 10/16
  6. I've got a necklace for my mom's stocking, a FP ostrich toy for my baby's stocking and an Elmo movie for his stocking. And got an awesome deal at TRU on a Disney Princess playset of Snow White and the 7 dwarves for Toys for Tots. It was 35, got it for 6! Have lots of things picked out for my DH and our baby; we drew names for my family at our Labor day BBQ so I know who to shop for now. Bring on the sales!!!!
  7. Got my tree up last night, decorating tonight after work. Got all my other Christmas decorations put out. House finally looks like it's Christmas!
  8. My niece wants the value size bag of grape IceBreakers gum. If I did her stocking I'd do it, just so she'd quit swiping mine out of my purse!
  9. After 3 DG trips (only 1 planned) went to WM at 5. They only had 30 sets of the PW cookware set, there were 100 people crowded around them by 5:10. I skipped those, not worth it when they start pulling police off towel guard duty to keep order! Maybe next year I'll get my new pots and pans. Got everything else on my list and came in under budget. They had all the palleys unwtapped but weren't letting people take anything til 6. Though a few of the employees started letting people take clothing earlier. Heard one of them getting in trouble, manager walked by. Management was actually walking the floors. I waited by the power pack I wanted since they only had 20, then got everything else on my list. Older sister got a wristband for the Hatchimal. She got back over there fast to pick out which one she wanted, her daughter only wanted the green Dragle. The employees in charge of the Hatchimals said be back by 6:10, we aren't saving them past then, people want these too much. Other wristband items were an hour or two. Most people said the cookware should have been a wristband item too. Still busy but not as bad as I've seen it before. Went to Barnes and Noble and Walgreens on Friday. Barnes and Noble was crazy! And we went in the late afternoon! Walgreens wasn't any busier then usual. My parents went to Harbor Freight for me and got DH's welder. They said it was a madhouse. Dad spent more there then Mom did at WM. And he grumbles about me plotting BF so far in advance. Fun day, counting down to next year and planning how to budget better so I have more to work with.
  10. I prefer it separate too but I could see gettiong rid on the store specific forums and merging that into the main forum. Think the holiday one needs to stay separate. As someone else suggested, you can try it then ask everyone's opinions after BF 2017.
  11. Our WM had 30. My sister and her mil got armbands for them. The other wristband items you just had tobe back by 7, those they said be back by 6:10, we aren't going to try saving them longer, too dangerous. People were nuts over those.
  12. I just got to my mom's house. Went to Dollar General in a neighboring town to get the B1G1 copper skillets my mom wants for Christmas. Got those, went to th DG my sister was at in our hometown, they had a whole display of skillets. Oh well. Mom's done, and gift swap gift is too. And I saved over 50% off regular price! Watching the parade now. And prepping for Walmart tonight.
  13. I go every year, usually just me and a neighbor waiting when the door opens. Helps to go to the store the day before and find what you're after, they don't do special displays usually. I get there 15 minutes early usually.
  14. Got mine in the mail this morning. Greatly amused the lady at the post office when I pulled it out of the post office box. Started bouncing up and down a little, I needed a pick me up this week. Got the beanie, wore it this morning. 100 Amazon card is still out there.
  15. Our ads are usually in the Wednesday paper. Maybe keep an eye out on Tuesday though. Our local convenience store has a sign up and they'll hold a paper for you, might ask to see if any stores near you will do that.
  16. I might go this Sunday when they do the preview for SYW members. All I wanted was one of the mattress sets which would require my husband to go shopping with me. Not sure if its worth spending so much of my limited budget though. Decisions decisions.
  17. Saw the Holiday Helpers, most of them ended up working registers. No candy casne while waiting in a long line either.
  18. Saw several in the ads from Home Depot, Sears, etc. We bought ours used so I don't really know what's a "good" deal on that type of fridge. Like I said, Sears had a lot of refrigerators in their ad.
  19. Saved the pdf, glad I did. The sale on Ryobi tools is going on now according to an ad my husband heard on the radio at work. He's going to get the $99 drill set with free tool of choice from six options tonight. He needed a new drill anyway, and half the tools on the free list were due for replacing anyway.
  20. My husband will be interested but I'm not. Didn't see much I liked.
  21. Thanks Brad! I've been entering the contests since I joined the site, 1st time I've won anything! Congrats to the other winners!
  22. I'm thinking about buying one of the smaller skillets and testing it before we invest so much in a new set. Think I'm doing it though, unless they only have one aqua colored set then I'll be nice to my sister and let her have it. Maybe. Thanks for the input!
  23. Told my husband he needs to look at the ad, he has the Ryobi tools, pretty sure he'll go to get the battery packs. And if he does I'll have him get the poinsettias. Saw some things I'd get if we were closer to breaking ground on our new house, but not willing to buy til I'm sure its happening.
  24. The new Jungle Book movie is 7.96 at WM. Only ad I noticed it in. Didn't see Cinderella at all.
  25. My list is all Walmart; $25 Roku Express Plus $188 32 Inch TV $1.96 DVDS - times 10 $3.96 DVDS - times 2 $9.96 TV series - times 2 $99 RCA 2 in 1 Tablet $15 Pocket Juice 20k- times 2 $84 Polaroid Instant Camera Digital Camera Bundle $30 Lego Tub $30 Duplo Tub $99 John Deere Mini Power Loader $99 Graco Nautilus Booster $89 Pioneer Woman 27pc enamel cookware set $9.93 BHG 4 pc basket set $169 Serta Massage Recliner Total $999.37
