Shop Early! Possible Shortages Loom This Holiday Season

I am still waiting on a pair of Bearpaw slippers I ordered from Walmart during BF to be delivered... the original delivery date was Dec 16... I received a delivery delay email Dec 15 and an out of stock email as of Dec 22... -
Christmas Eve is always potluck and was hosted at my cousin’s this year... I made a cream cheese dip (cream cheese, fresh diced onion and green pepper sprinkled on top, a jar or two of salsa and sharp cheddar on top) served with tortilla chips, crockpot meatballs, potato salad (that I decided to buy from the store because I was tired and it was just easier since I had to take my seeing impaired cousin out for last minute shopping on Christmas Eve) taco meat and fixings and Ambrosia... We also had pepperoni and cheese and a veggie pizza, medium and bbq wings, bread and dip, tuna salad, deviled eggs (someone ate mine off my plate [emoji35]), meat and cheese tray, various cakes and cookies and beverages... Christmas dinner was a lasagna this year and that was it, lol... after my daughter made a brunch of fish, grits and eggs and I played a game (or three) of Just Dance I was almost down for the count so that’s all I had in me... I made curry chicken for Sunday dinner...will make Collards, a small pot of black eyed peas, dressing and homemade cranberry sauce and maybe a meat for my New Year meal (I did freeze some left over turkey from Thanksgiving) and then it’s back to eating lighter and healthier for me...

Forgot to post this on Christmas Eve after all the gifts were under the tree... my tree was decorated with all Dollar Store ornaments this year...

I waited until after Christmas breakfast and gift exchange with my children to open my SS gift... Thank you so much Kash!!!! I loved everything in my box!!!! And the inexpensive packing material was a great idea that I will use myself when I don’t have bubble wrap [emoji51]

Presents - I have a few left to get... gift cards, candles, Power Ranger comic books on Amazon that my son just asked for last night (at 28 yrs old)... Wrapping - Haven't even started... mostly the gifts for my grandson need wrapping and since he is 4 I'm sure he would enjoy ripping them open instead of taking them out of gift bags. Baking - Huhhhhh, again, haven't started... My mom lives in NC and usually bakes and ships my kids their own batch of cookies each in cute tins, but money is tight for everyone this year so I told her to give me the recipe and I would make them this year... And I still have to get the tins for said cookies... The ones from the Dollar (Twenty-Five) Tree aren't quite big enough for the amount of cookies that bake up from the recipe. Decorating - It's as good as it's going to get this year... trees up, lit, decorated...

Happy December [emoji319][emoji320][emoji322] I am so excited about this month!!!! Not only do I get to celebrate Christmas with a few family and friends, but I am also leaving a job I have been at for the past four years at the end of the month to start a career with the state!!!! I received the call and offer on Monday November 29th... food, family, fun and great deals...my month ended nicely!!!!

I did it today!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!

If the price goes lower before 12/24 you can get the difference...
-
I would have to say the Roku LE... I really wanted another TV for my bedroom as mine is not a smart TV but Walmart had them for $15 so why not...
-
Thanks!!!! Made a stop in Old Navy just for the fuzzy socks!!!! I almost forgot about this yearly deal...
-
I bought mostly everything online earlier in the week... I managed to go out to pick up the orders that weren’t shipped to me and it was around noonish so the real “rush” of BF was over... I ended picking up $5 pjs for my g’son @ Walmart before I picked up my order of a Roku and Rubbermaid containers, some boots and a scarf from JCP, the batteries at Home Depot, only I believe they were out of the 40 pk so I got a couple of 60 packs marked at the same price (they were kind of dusty so I hope they aren’t too old [emoji23])... My last stop was the Christmas Tree Shop where I got my boxes of 42 k-cups for $9.99 each, I got 3 boxes and grabbed a couple holiday door mats... the crowds weren’t bad, not nearly what one would expect on BF and the long lines I encountered at JCP and Christmas Tree Shop moved quickly...

Sounds good to me... -
Only way I’ll be getting batteries from Lowe’s is if HD sells out before I make my way there... which is possible since their sale started on the 14th...

Received my package from my SS... Caught a glimpse of the postage and before I even know what’s inside, I appreciate the thought, time and expense put into making my Christmas just a little more brighter this year!! Thank you SS!!!! Will be waiting til Dec. 25 [emoji847]

Lowes, Rite Aid

Poinsettias are $1.98 instead of the usual $0.99 they’ve been in previous years... my son just asked me about the big pack of batteries that I usually get so the batteries are definitely a must buy.

I was able to snag a coat I wanted at the BF price and used my Kohl’s cash as well saving another $30 [emoji1430][emoji1430]

I use to be a hard core Pepsi/soda drinker, now it’s my treat during Thanksgiving and Christmas so I’ll be stopping in here for those cases!!!!
