I am in agreement in saying this move us not the best (just like Walmart's check out lanes)... Too many families rely on layaway to purchase Christmas gifts for their children... You really want your customers to take out a loan they had no intentions of taking out to buy Christmas gifts?! This is going to be difficult especially for those just getting back to work or even those who've been working the whole time but barely making ends meet...

That system definitely helped with people being able to purchase the game systems and helped with the "scalpers" that were buying up the systems within minutes of re-stocking... Trust me when I tell you people are out and shopping in these stores (I work p/t at one of them[emoji23]). Any big/major holiday or event my store is packed and busy... It was busy for 2020 and I predict it will be no different this holiday season!! At least in my area...

Unfortunately, we may be looking at a lot of shortages and delays this season [emoji24][emoji24] trying to imagine ads being done based on in stock items (in stock meaning the warehouse and store)...

What caramel/chocolate company is this? And don't be nervous, you are already on track to stock early before the holiday season hits... It's just a heads up because if the trend keeps on the same track, baking items may take longer to re-stock in the coming weeks... Some people may need/want to move their holiday food shopping ahead a few weeks...

I normally don't see this until closer to the holidays, but the demand is high and supply not so much... Last year I couldn't find Baker's brand sweetened coconut at allll to make my coconut cakes as gifts so when I finally saw it again this year I grabbed several bags!!!! It still flies off the shelf and I'm sure we will be out again during the holidays so that's on my list... Flour at my store is gone and has been for the past couple of weeks, still waiting for it to be re-stocked so I can stock up!!!!! I switched to pure cane sugar for baking and canning and we sell a brand (that is also sold in the Dollar Tree) so I have been stocking up on that lately...

I just bought baking powder and cornstarch yesterday, but we were out of flour except for whole wheat so I will be checking ever day that I work so I can grab a couple of bags... I have a wedding cake to make for my son next month and need to make sure I have all of the perishables now!!!! Stocking up early is the smart thing to do, for me anyways...

First of all, what kind of torture is this [emoji24] but if I only could choose one item it would be a butcher block kitchen island [emoji7]

Definitely won't just be toys/gifts that will be scarce this year!!!! If you plan on cooking big holiday meals, stock up on the staple pantry items you may need now and shop for the perishables closer to the holidays (unless they can be freezed now)... I work p/t at one of the big box stores and I have seen first hand empty shelves in the past few weeks just from college move ins, schools re-opening, etc... and some of these shelves remain empty for a couple of weeks before they are restocked...

Hopefully smaller than last year, lol... Playing it by ear this year... Oldest son gets married next month so my budget will be smaller I'm sure, but the price for everything has increased... My food budget for the holidays will be high and since all my kids are grown I don't have to spend much on them so most of the "budget" will go towards the kids on my list...

Automatically think of Thanksgiving, sales, ads, GottaDeal, shopping, Christmas, gifts, family...

This year it will be 9 adults and 5 kids... I'm mainly concentrating on the 2 grands and 3 God children and doing less this year for my kids/friends. Hopefully I'll be spending less, as this is my goal,but the affects of COVID has caused prices on everything to increase... My holiday food budget will have to be higher this year for sure...
