yep it does have to be at the exact time and this(my experience) is VERY YMMV I have had luck last 2 years with kinda loitering around the front and the manager in charge of directing people into check aisles directed me and I told them Oh I cant I have sale items to PM later...2 years they have told me go ahead...I think that they just want to keep everyone MOVING as much as possible LOL Again its YMMV and I dont even go in expecting it but knowning i have gotten lucky

i have heard MANY horror stories of people thinking because they got a ticket/arm band they would be assured the item and coming back 2-3 hours later and not getting the item. You have no recourse w/ WM or any store if you show up later and the item isnt there. You can yell and call corporate all you want but I am willing to bet you will get the company line of Sorry for the inconvenience but these items are limited availability stock answer

Someone asked about no name ones. I got the Delstar Ereader free from DH company as his 10 year "thanks for staying sucker" gift. I am thrilled so far with it. Have read 3 "free" books and have several others loaded and ready to go. The BIG issue I am having is the price of the books. I have issues with 9.99 downloads so this free little guy that lets me read free books, overdrive, and any other DRM free book is fine by me. Maybe once there are more players and the price of the book downloads go down I will buy one of these other brands but for right now my little guy is just fine. I would thin as long as you dont expect it to make you coffee and a massage most that just want to read would be happy with an off brand. Just do your research into what file types it DOES read I have a "Q" Has anyone had luck joining non-local libraries? Ours is overdrive hooked up but is still meager offerings. I didnt know if I joined a larger city library if I would have more options
