  1. The price on the serger I have been waiting for was JUST RAISED $30!! It has been $190 for months and just went UP to $220. I am so disappointed. And several stores have the Amazon kindle fire for $33.33 and Amazon is still holding at $49. What is Amazon doing? I don't get it but I'm pretty upset about it.
  2. I am having problems this year even finding what I want on sale. I don't know what's going on but there is a change this year for sure.
  3. I picked I will spend less and that is because my retirement fund may take a huge hit. But in reality I will still try to get everyone what they want.
  4. I haven't ever checked out old forums but it might be fun!
  5. Last year Amazon put a Kindle on sale for $30 and I really hope they repeat that because I want to grab one as a gift for my aunt. I like to try to get gifts that are awesome but don't break my budget.
  6. I wasn't that excited about the Dell ad. The cheap laptop I like to try to get is $199 this year. Last year the pretty much same laptop was $179. Seems like laptop prices would come down in price. I will probably still try to get one.
  7. #1 - Hey everyone! The stuff you want is over there! (Because what I want is right here) #2 - If I could I'd use these nerf guns to get rid of all these people in line #3 - I'm sorry you couldn't find one thing you liked in any of the stores, but never the less, I need help with these bags.
  8. It will possibly give me an extra payday to purchase last minute stuff!
  9. So many things are digital now that you can't grab a bunch of videos/dvds or cds anymore. Everything is streamed or available online or through some kind of TV media. You can't even buy a favorite movie easily anymore. Cheaper digital items used to be cute stocking stuffers but now they are junk. No one wants a photo frame when all photos are digital now. My kids don't ever print up a photo. I think when people just want specific things and those things cost a lot, it takes the fun out of shopping. My son (age 23) told me he wants a Northface or Columbia winter coat. I told him he has a winter coat and he told me that he doesn't wear that brand. He'll buy it for himself if I don't but the point is, many of us can't just grab a good deal anymore and hope the recipient will love it.
  10. I find this to be true as well. I bought a Dell doorbuster last BF and now in Oct the hard drive is full. I had to go and delete a bunch of stuff. Still with 4 laptop users in my house I know I will try to grab one just in case someone's laptop bites the dust when it's not in the budget.
  11. I want the unlikely and maybe even impossible. I want a cheap kindle or tablet that can actually take photos. I want to buy one for my aunt to snap photos of documents at all the libraries she researches at. Amazon usually has a great kindle price but no camera. Ideas?
  12. I like to put gifts that I'm giving anyway in stockings when they are small enough to fit. I put things like socks, especially nice ones. Almost everyone likes nice new socks. Some people put in new toothbrushes especially the battery operated ones. I put in cologne - I got a great deal on name brand cologne on ebay stores last black friday. Last year I got everyone a new wallet and put it in the stocking also. I also got portable phone chargers and car chargers, a new phone case, that kind of stuff is always used.
  13. My mom sent me her list (haha!) and I ordered and received one item so far. I also found an item on mega clearance online at Roamans and ordered it for a friend.
  14. I was just looking back at previous messages and realize how much I love this forum each year for at least 3 or 4 years now!
  15. Every year I try to grab the Dell online doorbuster laptop. My husband got me an external DVD drive because the cheaper under $200 doorbusters don't have this drive anymore. With the external one it doesn't matter what computer I use it on.
  16. One year I decided to go to KMart for one of those Crosley turntables. For some reason they opened a bit later - it was maybe 7 am. I was standing there by myself for awhile thinking they probably opened by 6 am. By the time the doors open there was more than a few people, and I was the first person in but it wasn't that big of a deal. I still had someone hear me ask where I could find the digital key chains (remember those?) and then they raced me to snatch the few there were. I got so mad at that I ended up just leaving with my Crosley turntable and didn't bother looking for any other deals.
  17. I am looking for a really unbelievable deal on the kindle fire and also a god deal on the Brother Serger sewing machine. I tried to get it during Prime Day, got wait listed but I never got the offer to buy it.
  18. So far the only thing I have tried to get was from the 6pm Thursday Dell doorbusters. AFTER the fact I found out from a Dell facebook post that I had to find my item through the black Friday link only. I had typed in the item to search and it came up - and by doing it this way the price didn't change. So even though I had the XBox deal in my cart, the price did not lower at check out. So needless to say, I lost out on that deal. They offered another Xbox deal for the same price but with much fewer extras (like no extra controllers). I quickly did a Gotta Deal search for what they were going for from other stores and grabbed the second less attractive deal just before THAT one was sold out. Dell posted on their facebook they are going to have an XBox deal on cyber Mon day, and right now I am hoping it is not a better deal than the one I ended up with. I was able to snag the $149 laptop, and for some reason it took off at least 10% - I think because I am a Dell rewards member, and I ended up paying about $132. Not quite as good a deal as Office Depot's Toshiba for $119, but now I can pay for it through my Dell account. All in all, feeling good about it but not ecstatic like I would if I had snagged the deal I should have gotten
  19. Well I was online in plenty of time to snag the XBox one bundle, but the price never changed. I was able to get the $149 laptop and I settled for a not quite as good but same price XBox one deal that sold out also at the time I was checking out so if I had waited I would have been out of luck. I kept refreshing my computer and even got the XBox deal into my cart, but at checkout the price was still $469. I kept going back and then it kept telling me the deal was expired. So anyway I haven't figured out how to make sure I snag these dell doorbusters, but I'm not totally unhappy.
  20. Ebay stores are currently running a large number of Vera Bradley deals on their home page.
  21. Today I went ahead and ordered a Dell outlet deal. At 30% off it was the same price as the doorbuster I was going to try to get. I selected a new in the box item, but if you are willing to get scratch and dent or certified refurbished you can really score a great deal. I hope I made the right choice to grab this deal, because now I know iti s on the way and I don't have to scramble for it, but I will still be trying for some of the other doorbusters Dell has.
  22. I heard they had bubble lights last year - maybe I can swing in on Wed and see if they have some. I need the replacements!
  23. I'm on the search for bubble lights and was hoping one of these discount stores would get some in.
  24. I could definately find some things to buy at Michaels when they take 30% off even the sale prices. I doubt I can venture out Thurs because I need to catch the Dell deals at 6pm.
