I don't think they necessarily suck but it's dependent on what you are looking for. I don't need any "big ticket" items or electronics this year so yeah, for me so far, not so good.

Jen8112, yes the AppleTV is the 3rd generation model. That was a moot point for me as the recipient of it doesn't have to have the newest model of anything electronic. As far as the Cartwheel, I can't speak to that. I assume that the Black Friday price offer for today was only good for online purchase but I could be wrong. ETA: the ad says "when you order at target.com" so I don't think you can use the Cartwheel discount since that is for in-store purchases only.

I got the AppleTV so that's one thing marked off my gift list for Black Friday shopping! I'm happy!

Those throws are the best! I have 3 for myself alone!

Who is ready to decorate? When will you start decorating?

Good for you Hansie! My tree is going up next week. It's already on the schedule to do. -
Well, looks like I can hold onto my $30 worth of Sam's gift cards for a later date. Holding out hope for Best Buy and Walmart now.

Oh, that is freakin' awesome!!

I love it too but even with the "sale" price I'm sure it's still out of my budget. I stopped shopping here long ago except for the occasional gift card for birthday/Christmas gifts.
-
I noticed that too. I love these things and just recently snagged one cheaper then the $8.99 with some Kohl's cash, rewards coupon and a % off coupon.

With my mom. Sometimes we can talk my sister into coming if we need a line holder or an extra set of arms. Shopping carts are a big no-no for us and there's usually not one to be had anyway. Last year we took several of the reusable shopping totes I've accumulated over the years to hold our stuff. That worked out great as we stuck my sister in a checkout line with her printer while the other 2 of us gathered up everything else we needed.

I spent WAY too much at Kohl's last year and did all of it online before Black Friday.

Wow! I'm so very unorganized compared to most of you. I just go armed with my wallet, list on a piece of paper, the paper ad itself for reference and a pen. Sometimes I circle the items in the ad with a sharpie but usually it's just better for me to go with my list. I guess I would operate differently if I had to go to more than one store but usually it's just Walmart for the main sales since any other store is an hour or more away so those get done online. I do make lists for those online purchases though. I'm a list maker by nature and need that piece of paper in my hand so I don't think I could ever convert to all electronic lists. LOL

I get hungry every time I read this read.

Yay! Let the shopping begin!

No Macy's in AR but Memphis is just across the Mississippi from where I will be for Thanksgiving so hoping to snag the Bare Minerals cosmetics as well. And maybe some of the Philosophy stuff.

Amazon.com 'Countdown to Black Friday' Deal Discussion Thread
HanShotFirst replied to Brad's topic in 2015
I never have much luck getting a lightening deal. . It's so frustrating but when I do, it's like I've won the lottery! Can't wait to see what kind of deals they have. -
Haven't gotten one yet and I know I got one in the mail last year.

I will at least put my tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving. I love coming back home after being away for the holiday weekend to an already decorated house. The outdoor lights, if any, will wait until December. -
My sister has every one of those too! Those early ones are worth lots of money these days. I wish I had the whole series but for some reason my grandmother didn't start me on those ornaments. I got Betsey Clarke ones instead, which they no longer have.
