I don't envy you.....Mine is the 15th so there were some years I barely got a birthday party......such as they were in the 70's and early 80's. Still having trouble thinking of ideas for the gifts I have to buy......hoping inspiration will hit now that the weather has cooled off a bit and it feels more like fall instead of the dog days of summer.

I don't remember when I started my shopping but I remember as a child my mother always going out on Friday, in the 80's, well before it was called Black Friday. I eventually got recruited to stand in lines when it became impossible for her to be in more than one line at a time and still get what we wanted/needed. That was probably late 80's/early 90's while in college. So, some 25+ years later we are still going strong with the BF shopping. Tradition dictates our first stop be the local Walmart and sometimes it's our only stop. Although it is definitely not the same as "back in the day" I still have fun at Walmart. Maybe it's something about a small southern town Walmart. I don't know. I've stood in many a Walmart line and have always had a blast. We've never experienced anything bad other than seeing those darned sheet sets fly through the air one year after the display was opened. That was a hoot. Otherwise, we're all a big family while standing in line waiting for our items or to get checked out.

I think I will have to buy a new one as well. Skipped it last year hoping mine would make it another year. So far, it's holding it's on with good days and bad days. Lol

Bought 3 pairs of wireless earbuds at Best Buy two weeks ago during their anniversary sale! Got them for my mother, sister and myself as that is the one thing we all 3 said we wouldn't mind having. I was so excited to find them at 50% off. Not sure we will wait for Christmas to have them though so I need backup plans.

I would love to have lists from my family. They are so hard to buy for. We just found a great deal on wireless earbuds at Best Buy and that's the one thing my sister, mother and I all wanted. After that I'm clueless and probably will be until December! Ugh

Got my SS gift today (actually probably yesterday but didn't make it to the mailbox) and I lasted all of about 2 minutes before opening it! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much to my Secret Santa for the snowmen and the votive candles! We have a Senior "Tree" at work that works just like the Angel Trees. I always get at minimum the items on their tag and usually double what they've asked for (2 shirts, 2 blankets 1 Holiday and 1 "normal", etc). I love to throw in little extras too and this list is a great help for those, especially the arts and crafts items. I've already turned my gifts in for this year but will make note of these for next year. Thanks for posting!

Mailed mine yesterday!

So, I got home from work today and had a package from Kohl's and what do I find inside? The items I was told just yesterday via email had been canceled! LOL! I am one happy camper now.

Got my Yes2You rewards today. I already had my birthday month reward and my KC so I'm ready! Mama needs a new pair of shoes!

Spent less than $15 on Cyber Monday at Target only. Got 2 humorous holiday flasks (for white elephant gifts), both for store pickup. One has been picked up and the other one was canceled but I had already ordered a 3rd to pickup at a different Target and finally (this morning) got the pickup email. One toy for the toy drive here at work. All items were under $5 dollars with the discount and my Redcard discount. Can't complain and I've made 2 orders today with the 25% off beauty code. There's also a SHINE code you can use online and my Redcard discount again so I stocked up on some makeup, lip balm, body wash, Burt's Bees shampoo, and cotton balls.

I've got 2 store pickup orders that have been "processing" for nearly 8 hours now. I think I can forget about getting them at this point..... Picked up one order after work today and that desk was a living nightmare but at least they were able to locate everyone's pickups that was in line before me.

Got one of my Best Buy orders today.....both Blu-rays.

So far so good with my DVD's from them. Status shows they have shipped, although it will take days to get to the store from the distribution center less than 50 miles from me.....crazy
