  1. I agree with you. Since I don't have children I use BF sales to replace household items/electronics and buy things I otherwise wouldn't during the year. Of course I always buy some "fun" things for myself too and if I have my Angel Tree angel or Senior Tree tags I will definitely shop for those as well. But no, I don't use BF sales to build my gift list either. I usually have a list made prior to BF and if any of those items are there then yes, I will jump on them. Overall, I think there are still good deals to be had. it just depends on what you are looking for on any given BF.
  2. My Kohl's store is quite organized as well, unlike both of the Walmart super centers in town. I would much rather stand in a single line that zigzags through the store than many jumbled lines crowded into the apparel department, with people continually cutting in, any day.
  3. Thanks to torrential rains and severe storms yesterday that kept me indoors all day, my house is clean, my tree is up, though not yet decorated, and all my other decorations are out/up as well. I'll get the tree decorated today or tomorrow. Then I will just sit back and enjoy!
  4. And here I was excited about my $10 in my Savings Catcher! LOL.
  5. Staples has 20% off iTunes today through 11/21. $25, $50, and $100 GC's. Free shipping for Rewards members. Got one more thing marked off my list early with this.
  6. That's a good deal on that mini.
  7. Two questions: How much coffee does he drink daily? How much are you wanting to spend? Kohls has 2 models in their BF ad and both would earn you Kohl's Cash I believe. $89.99 and $99.99 Both Target and Best Buy are advertising one for $79.99 with a $15 gift card If he drinks a lot of coffee daily then you should (IMO) consider a model with the onboard water reservoir. Personally, I have the K10 Mini Plus. It only has a single use reservoir but that's fine by me. I don't drink coffee and only use it for hot cocoa once or twice a day during winter.
  8. If I were eligible for an upgrade I'd be there for a 6S plus. The 2 things I was interested in are already listed as OOS online.....Sonicare toothbrushes and the electronic memo pad. Oh well.
  9. I've already found the vacuum I wanted and am still pondering a new laptop so.... Big Bang Theory Season 8 DVD and Inside Out blu-ray. LOL
  10. My employeer has also participated in the Senior Tree program (although no actual tree allowed) and quite honestly, that's my favorite thing to do over the Angel Tree. We lost my grandmother in July and while she was able to spend the last years of her life at home with anything and everything she needed many others aren't so if my Senior wants a simple blanket or a sweatshirt then he/she gets 3!
  11. Go Hogs! Love my Razorbacks! I love the shopping in NWA!
  12. Got some things already. Have a list for the remainder, just waiting on the paycheck tomorrow.
  13. Hmmm. First look through and I'm not too impressed, but then I'm not in the electronics market this year unless I decide to replace my laptop. They just rinse and repeat the housewares section every year. Will look at the DVD's and blu-rays closer when Brad gets the cleaner version posted. That might entice me, depending on the selection.
  14. Interesting read. Thanks for reposting! I hope they live up to their promises, especially the online availability. And here's hoping .com can handle being overloaded.
  15. For me too. I can't even get any help from a live Customer Service rep about an order because they say they are having "issues"
  16. My employeer (local hospital) has one although the tree is considered a safety hazard so we have to go the HR office to pick up the tags. Locally, I've seen them at Walmart, Kmart, Kroger. Also, if you have a Salvation Army chapter locally check with them. They sponsor the program here as well.
  17. LOL! So I called Walmart, pushed the correct numbers for the menu, stayed on hold for 15 minutes to actually speak with someone only to be told he can't access any personal information at the moment due to system updates. sheesh
  18. I'm having issues today too. I ordered a Calphalon pan 3 weeks ago and it's now 5 days past the due date for store pick-up. I've tried to contact customer care as they say and the site keeps going in circles with every link I click. I have yet to be able to get the form to fill out and email to them. Guess I'll have to give up the ghost and actually call....
  19. Still no Walmart......that's the only one I'm waiting on now.
  20. The $299.99 Dell laptop is appealing to me so just may upgrade my old Dell after all. Other than that I want the $9.99 Big Bang Theory DVD set. If my current Harmony remote dies between now and BF I'll jump on that but other than that not seeing much I need/want in this one. I may not bust my budget this year at all, which is a good thing I suppose. LOL!
