Right there with you. Weather in the South.....gotta love it. Thursday it 80 degrees. Yesterday, struggled to get into the 50's for highs. I always wear a t-shirt for BF shopping. It's always hot in the stores and since there is no line to get into Walmart anymore on Thursday, I just go coatless. I don't want the hassle of having to hold a jacket while shopping. I figure I can survive walking in and out of the store if it's cold outside.

That is freaking awesome! I love it. I don't think my sister uses a keyboard with her iPad or I would definitely get that for her.

I was able to do the store pick-up for several orders I placed on 11/20/16 and 11/21/16.

I've done the majority of my shopping online the last two years. Walmart being the exception. If i remember correctly Walmart had major issues with the online orders last year so I don't think I will do any online shopping there again, especially for the "must have" items. I'm too wary. I've not had any issues at all with Best Buy, Kohl's, Amazon (for the deals I'm able to snag), Macy's, Target or Staples in the past.

Yes, I would be sure and check the shape of the portion of the rod that fits into the base. Mine is cone shaped so not sure I would be able to modify it and still have it fit in the base.

yep, but at least it made for a good Thursday night on what would have normally been a boring one for me! And I jotted down my must-haves and their BF prices so I can at least budget for those right now.

Think it might be gone already.....was in the middle of looking one last time before it happened.

I usually try to wait until after Halloween but Now with the first major ad out I feel like it’s time for me to bust out the holiday DVDs.

Why the Kohl's ad of course.

When my sister was married he got the same amount of gifts (either # wise and $ wise) as possible as my sister and myself from everyone in the family. As far as what gifts, maybe you could feel your daughter out about any couple/household gifts they might want or need and go from there. I don't think you will go wrong with personal gifts for each or a combo. And by all means, continue to go overboard with stockings! That's the best part of it all for me.

I found a few gift ideas myself for the one person left on my list that I'm clueless about.

My employeer holds a food drive every year during the annual benefits fair (always in early November) for local shelters and food pantries to help them restock for the holidays and the remainder of the year. I always contribute 2-3 bags of needed items during this time. I also buy gifts for the Senior Tree sponsored by a local homecare agency and my employer. If possible I get a male and female to shop for. During the summer months my employer participates in a summer cereal drive so that kids who only get a decent breakfast at school can have one during the summer months. We also hold a school supplies drive for the schools to help those kids who won't be able to start school with all their needed supplies. Senior tree gift shopping is one of the main reasons I love Kohl's shopping during the Black Friday weekend. I always buy at least two of the "Big One" fuzzy blankets since they have so many prints and colors to choose from. I always include them in my gifts as an extra "surprise" for the recipients.

I went to Home Depot yesterday and looked around at the trees. They have a slim tree with color changing lights for $129. Due to space where my tree has to go I really need a slim tree......I doubt this one will be the "special buy" tree but if it happens to be on some kind of sale I may just have to snag one for next year. I'm very jealous of my parents and sister who have the color changing lights. LOL

Gosh, I remember looking through nearly every one of these ads. I've only dared to go to the actual store on Friday once, when that was THE day and have not done it again. I can't handle the lines wrapping around the entire store for checkout. LOL. But I do love me some Kohl's online shopping, especially now that their sale starts early in the week online. The last few years I've spent more overall at Kohl's than anywhere during Black Friday.

I've already won a shirt but I love recipes. This one is great for holiday parties. Pineapple Ham Sandwiches 3 cans of deviled ham (4.25 oz cans) 1 can crushed pineapple, drained (15.25 oz can or bigger if you like) 3 tbsp brown sugar 1 rounded tsp of mayo (or more depending on consistency) ground cloves to taste Mix all ingredients until well-blended the chill for a few hours Spread on bread (whatever you like) to make sandwiches and cut into finger-food sized pieces.

Yum! I love cream puffs. You know a recipe is an oldie and goodie when it calls for "oleo".

Can't wait to wear mine!

No stores near me either but it's stil fun to look! I'm always on the lookout for ideas so any ad can be helpful.
