Now that all the ads are out that I was waiting on, I'm the same....going out for the fun and camaraderie. I might actually try out Home Depot for the first time for the batteries. LOL. The only must-have left on my list is an iPad and I hope to order that early online from Target or Best Buy. If not then I will camp out at Walmart. There's a few other things I wouldn't mind having like the Bissell Carpet Cleaner from WM but it won't be the end of the world if I miss out on them. Of course I'll get my usual Kohl's throw(s) and bras early next week online.

Pre-Walmart Thursday ritual consists of going to Walmart on a recon mission in order to have an idea of where things are. The maps are not helpful for the stuff we are usually after. After that it’s naptime for a bit to sleep of Turkey Day lunch. We usually head back to the store around 4 PM.. Post Walmart ritual is going to Sonic for a drink. Sometimes I get food and sometimes I’m content with leftover pie from the lunch festivities. We don’t really have a Friday shopping ritual since we don’t always go shopping on this day. Every store but Walmart and Dollar General are 45 minutes to an hour away.

LOL! Glad I'm not the only one who had way too much fun with them after I got it all set up. As far as confusing Alexa, I've just been saying "living room on bright" and she will do that. Or tell her what percentage of light you want. Too many words and she seems to get confused. Of course it could be my accent.....Siri hates me because of that.

Hoping to get my stuff early and online so when I go out to the stores it will be for fun and browsing.

I'll be getting one from Kohl's tomorrow when the Veteran's Day coupon is available for use. I can beat the BF price on the Duo with all my coupons and rewards. One more thing off my list.

No McAfee. That's a bummer. Been getting mine on BF from WM for several years now. And since I'm banning cheap movie purchases I don't see anything I want except the Bissell carpet cleaner and that's just a maybe right now.

I like the idea of the color-coded departments and associates. Hopefully they will know what they are supposed to know.

the answer is YES, you can.....on and off and dim/brighten! I got my starter kit all set up plus an extra bulb (yes, I already bought another bulb LOL) and you can control them with Alexa. I've spent the last 45 minutes telling her to turn on bedroom, living room, turn off, dim, dim to 50%, brighten, etc. Setup is pretty easy but I did have a bit of trouble with the bridge connecting to my network. All is well now though. Now the problem will be remembering to leave the switch for my living room light and the lamp switches turned on. I've set up a routine so that both room lights come on at different times so that they will be on when I get home from work in the dark. I won't know if I did this right until I go back to work this weekend. Can't wait to play around with it some more tomorrow. So far this was well worth the $60.

Me too! I found the BHG set of mixing bowls and measuring stuff Walmart had last year stuffed in the sheets aisle on Friday night after the Thursday sale. LOL. Made me so happy since I passed them up on Thursday night.

Hoping more of the athletic shoes will be on sale online and I will take advantage of that $15 off coupon. I'm always on the lookout for a good sale for work shoes.
