Happy April! Happy Spring! Happy Easter! The pollen has arrived and my cute little car has taken on the putrid yellow/green color of the season. today though, winter has returned. We’re barely going to crack 50 degrees today. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter despite the weather. Me, no holiday here. Off to work I go.

One of these days I'm going to be able to visit my friend in Toledo and I've already said I want to go to Bronner's while I'm there. She goes fairly regularly and bought me an Elvis ornament from there last year, complete with a purple glitter jumpsuit. So ugly it's the best thing ever.

My work hours exactly. I already set my clock forward in the bedroom and turned my alarm on for the morning so I hope to god I show up to work on time tomorrow morning. I hate going and coming to work in the dark so I'm all for having some daylight left after I get off work.

When you work 12-hr shifts and your first day of your week is on Sundays springing forward sucks! The only thing good about it is that I get to see some daylight when I clock out for awhile. Going and coming to/from work in the dark is the pits for me. Otherwise I’m ready for spring. My flower beds are mostly cleaned up and ready for Lowe’s/Home Depot spring mulch sale. Congratulations to everyone for their weight losses!

Happy March! I’m on the lookout for Noah and the Ark to come rescue me from the flooding in my state. So tired of the rain but while driving down the highway yesterday I noticed a patchof daffodils blooming. Spring is just around the corner, at least down South.

State health department here estimates 8-10 more weeks before the flu outbreak peaks. Being a healthcare worker I might just poop out if it does last that much longer. On a side note, I finally assembled the carpet cleaner I bought Black Friday weekend. Haven’t turned it on yet though.

Hello February! Got called in to work this AM for a few hours and now all I want to do is take a nap snuggled under my heated throw and my oh so kind neighbor decides now would be a good time to start banging around on his boat............grrrrrr. 67 degrees yesterday, low 50’s today and even colder tomorrow. Oh my aching head.

Putting away the Christmas tree and other décor today. The house always feels so empty after everything is back in the closet. And I think I'm going to be forced to purge some holiday items because I bought too much new décor this season......of course I did. LOL

Happy New Year everyone! It’s frigid down South and the windchill this AM was a fabulous 0 degrees . Even in the negatives in some parts of the state. I am not at all used to that kind of cold and it went right through my scrub pants I tell ya! My cheeks (top and bottom LOL) were hurting before I could get in the building. Hope everyone enjoys their day off if you are so lucky to have it off.

We've finally had long enough cold spell down here in the South to dig out the heavy coats, gloves and snuggy boots! I will say that I do not envy you all who having dangerously frigid weather right now. Stay warm and Happy New Year.

Whoa!!! That will be a ton of fun!

That is exactly what I did yesterday. It rained all day yesterday so I stayed in my PJ's and curled up with my blankets and watched about 4 movies and read a holiday novel. Today I got up and got at it. I got The last last-minute shopping done and some "no bake" baking done for work tomorrow.

I did the same thing.......bought two more gifts today!! I swear Target is putting new gifting stuff out everyday!! LOL I also made the no-bakes today and they are as hard as rocks..... . I’ll still eat them though.

I took a half-day off work yesterday and went to Walmart for what I thought would be that last time until after Christmas. LOL. Yeah, not so much. Today starts my vacation until New Year's Eve and I was going to make the no-bake cookies but much to my horror, the quick oats I had in the cabinet expired......two years ago!!! Good lord. So, unless I get off the couch and shower and head to the store again, that won't be happening today as I had planned. I did receive a box of goodies Monday at work with some brownies, PB fudge and "regular" fudge so it's not like I don't have anything to munch on while watching Christmas movies today. Except for the few last minute things I have ordered for myself there will be no more gift shopping in this house as I don't think I will have enough room in my car as it is now for the gifts and luggage.

I've had a terribly busy weekend and came home to an unexpected, unnecessary but so thoughtful surprise from my Secret Santa last night. In addition to the Wonder Woman goodies I received earlier I had another package full of goodies......a snowman wall hanging, snowman ornament, note pad, and candy! Shopping done as of this afternoon. Wrapping done as of about 30 minutes ago when I added the last gift in a bag I already had under the tree. I'll be darned if I'm dragging out the wrapping supplies AGAIN. LOL Baking: haven't started.

WooHoo! I got a flyer from Best Buy today with 15% off a Phillips Hue purchase. I see another bulb in my immediate future. I’m having way too much with this smart home stuff.

It’s nearly 10:30 AM, I’m still in my PJ’s lounging in my recliner with my new Kohl’s throw having a Hallmark Christmas movie marathon. I’m on movie #2. I can’t think of a better way to spend my cold and windy day off.

I got all of mine wrapped Friday night except for one gift that hasn’t been purchased yet. Waiting to draw names at work. It feels so good to have it all done this early.
