It may be nothing or it may be something, but my Wal-Mart app (on iOS) just updated again today, and it had just updated yesterday or the day before to the current version. It seems like I recall something similar happening in years past right before the ad dropped on the app!

How can this be?!? Is Black Friday cancelled?!?...

I know it seems like the ads don’t vary a lot from year to year, but in a way I’m glad for that. As for myself, I mostly enjoy getting new movies and tv series during Black Friday, along with cozy throws and maybe the usual giant box of candy they always seem to have. My mom usually gets one of the big food storage container sets, some new sheets, and some minor electronics items. I guess you could say we count on these same things being available every year, so it’s nice for us that they are. I definitely understand people wanting variety as well, but I agree with what was posted above in that there are still major ads yet to come, so maybe we haven’t seen everything yet.

It was the one in Quincy, IL. I think the next closest one is nearly 100 miles away. Such a shame.

I’m going to miss stopping at Best Buy for Black Friday; they just closed the one near me this past weekend. But I’m glad for this free shipping promotion, especially since they also sent me a $10 gift code on a flyer related to the store closing. I was able to preorder a blu-ray combo pack that comes out next month at $10 off plus free shipping!

Having no kids myself I’d say it’s up to the parent as to whether their kiddo can handle the possible craziness. Older children will likely not have issues and can even be helpful at getting in those hard to reach spots with many people in them. However I can’t understand the ones who bring itty bitty babies out to the stores, the ones who are barely a few months old and are so delicate and really susceptible to germs and illness. I always worry when I see them out like that.

Oh wow, less than 30 days already!! This year has gone so fast! Now that the weather finally feels like fall here, I’m super ready to see some ads and start planning.

Haha yep, we are cooling down here now, and I found some Pumpkin Spice oatmeal at the store the other day, so it's officially fall for me!

You're so lucky; it's gonna hit around 95 degrees here again today and then start dipping down towards fall temps. Crazy Missouri weather. I'm ready to be done with the air conditioner for the year!

Woo hoo! I'm also excited to see the shirts! I know a lot of people like summer but I'm a forever fall girl! Crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, and Black Friday are a few of my favorite fall things!

I saw two Hatchimals on the shelves at Wal-mart the other day, and it reminded me of last year's craziness with people scrambling for them around Black Friday/just before Christmas. Come on November!!

This makes me wonder how successful a Black Friday video game would be for gaming consoles or mobile devices. I'd buy it!

I still have one DVD that is Processing from Walmart. Another one that I ordered the same time just became available for pickup yesterday. They do seem to be behind on dvds especially but they are getting them out eventually. One DVD I ordered from Best Buy just shipped out yesterday, the day before they were going to cancel my order if they didn't get anymore in stock.

Mom and I got our iPads a couple days ago. I'm still waiting on a movie I bought when online BF sale went live.

I popped in on Thursday and got the B3G3 on the foaming soaps, but I didn't get the bag either; it was cute but the assortment wasn't great. I overheard a cashier tell someone they could use up to 7 coupons in store for Black Friday because the system gets shut off so it won't reject multiple coupons like usual. My sis used three or four together and got a great deal on some big candles.

Well I have to give Amazon quite a bit of credit early this morning... One of their Deals of the Day right now is savings on Harry Potter movie sets! I have been wanting this set on blu-ray for years now and had never seen it for under the $50 range, so this was a must buy for me. This whole Hatchimals thing is just terrible. Regardless of what they say, the company is probably short shipping them to drive up hype; they won't be able to give these things away after the holidays. All the sorry scalpers will be desperately trying to break even on them on eBay. I've seen many reviews talking about how once the hatch is complete, kids pretty much lose interest in the thing. And if it was going to be a low stock/wristband item then that should have been stated right under the picture of it in the ad. I thought about trying to get one for someone who needed it but the toy section in my Walmart is a little too close to the sporting goods section; it would've been like The Hunger Games back there. I hope you manage to get one though, keep trying online as that's where I've seen people saying they have the most luck.
