For my birthday I got: - My new, and major upgrade, cell phone HTC Amaze from my boyfriend (early gift got it last month) - $50 on my birthday from my boyfriend - Season 12 of Law & Order: SVU from my brother/sis-in-law - Season 5 of psych and a Mint Chocolate B&BW candle from my mother - Packers necklace and bracelets from my dad/step-mom - $25 from my grandma - Scarf, bracelet, and patterned trouser socks from my aunt/cousin - $25 Starbucks card from my boss - $40 from best friend #1 for my Packers Stock - $10 Starbucks card from my best friend #2 - Packers sweat pants from a coworker - O'Mara's Irish Country Cream gift set with Land O'Lakes cocoa mix from a coworker For Christmas I got: - Hot pink and black Wisconsin Badgers pull over hoodie from my boyfriend to go with the sneakers he bought me last year - $50 from my grandma - Honey baked ham from my boss and his wife - Star Trek: TOS complete series that I bought myself I'm not exchanging gifts with my other grandparents, my dad/step-mom, my aunts/uncles, and adult cousins - as per an agreement that it's totally not necessary. I did buy for the baby though and we do birthday gifts for each other. My mom is out of town so we are doing Christmas Wednesday night with me/bf, her, and my brother and SIL. The best thing of the day was how excited my bf was by the Cowboys zip up I got him. He had no idea and he loved how "clean" it is I am most excited about the gift I got my brother that I purchased in July. I cannot cannot wait to give it to him. In case he or my SIL are on here, I won't tell what it is but I'm sure I'll post a photo after I give it to him. I can't wait!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

My card table is overflowing! These are all the cards I've received from all of you and from friends and family. I don't know what I'm going to do if the mailman brings any more cards today! We do NOTHING Christmas related on Christmas Eve - its my birthday and if everyone else gets a whole day for their birthday so do I! Lol

Alright! Here are mine :) My SS did an excellent job wrapping and I was going to try and wait but after the hospital with my brother the other night (the night I received my SS and OE) I decided I needed a pick me up so I opened everything :) My SS sent me: * GREEN BAY PACKERS CHAMPIONSHIP LICENSE PLATE HOLDER :) - I put it on my car this morning!! LOVE LOVE LOVE * Rafael Nadal's new book - LOVE, been on the library wait list FOREVER :) * Set of 12 bottle tops that turn your can into a bottle - can't wait to try these, I think they will go with the camping stuff. * Vanilla Bean Noel wallflowers and a cute snow flake wallflower plug * An adorable red tea mug (this is the PERFECT size!!) and box of Organic Chai black tea, which have already been brought to work which is why they aren't in the "group" photo :) * Sour Patch candies, which the boyfriend has already confiscated, and a pack of spearmint Orbit gum which is in my bag in the office :) My OE sent me: * A Packers beanie - which is perfect because I lost my green one just like this one a few weeks ago :) * A Bruins Ornament - GO B's!!!!!!! My ornament is already on my special tree. I have a small little tree that I put all my special ornaments on, things from my grandparents etc. I had already decorated it when I got my OE but next year it will be front and center up top!! LOVE IT!! Thank you so much to both my SS and my OE, you guys/gals did great!!! LOVE IT ALL! :)

I got both my ss and oe today when I got home but as soon as I got home I left for the er. I don't have the patience to wail til Christmas so I will have them opened and pictures posted in the next day or two.

I think I will upgrade next year. This was the tree and ornaments I bought the first year I was on my own. The tree topper is inherited from my ex SIL! Time for some new digs

Mine is kind of sad in comparison.

As you all know, I bought a house in March that had new carpet put in after the previous owners moved out. As such, it is still fuzzing like crazy but because I'm the only one here full time, my bf is here a couple days a week, I don't create enough traffic alone to speed up the fuzzing. Thus, it has killed my vacuum. The bristles are completely full of carpet fibers and it has locked it down to where it doesn't even rotate any more, which is all fine and good because I've been unable to find bags for it for some time now. So, my questions are these: A) Is there a way to speed up and/or end the carpet fuzzing? Are there any good vacuums for dealing with new carpet? C) Other suggestions? The Dreamer Flannel are my favorite favorite favorite!! I buy one new set every year, especially when I can get the free matching slippers. I hate sleeping in pants because they usually make me too hot but these are soft and thin yet very warm but not too hot. I love them. Just a tip, I'm 5'9", which isn't that tall, but I learned after the first year to order the long length instead of regular as they draw up just a bit and expose my ankle which drives me insane!
