Toys, I always buy WAY more then I need but when I see the prices I convince myself I do need them..lol

It is not exciting...same old blah sales but it did have a 10 off 50 coupon on it! I think they are holding out for the big book!

I have been shopping on bf since I was a teenager. My brother worked as a manager at kbtoys and I would always work that weekend for him with my friends to help out. Back then ( going back 14 years or so) I thought getting there at 4 am was crazy and the line with maybe 30 or so people were hardcore shoppers. I dont thin it opened back then until maybe 5am or even 6...now I feel like by 6 am Im 2/3rds of the way done with my bf shopping. I miss those days of the later openings. Ive been on this board since I think 2009. I shop for about 30 or so people each year. My kids, dh, mom, in laws, nieces, nephews, teachers, coaches, angel trees and toys for tots so I really shop for everything! Thank goodness for this site. It has gotten me SO organized!

Just like last year I got a sales book with a coupon attached which is valid until 10-27. This makes me believe that the big book sale will starts October 28th! Last year I believe people started getting their books in the mail around October 20th so it should be coming in a few weeks...I CANNOT WAIT!

I agree with everyone else. It depends where you shop. I personally do not bring my kids because I always have a sitter and am buying for them. I look foward to the alone shopping with the bff. However, if I did want to bring them I would have no problem bringing them to the outlets with me since it is not crazy at all and everyone is always super friendly. However, I would not bring them to Target or Walmart. They are crazy here and last year for the first time I had my dh go to Walmart and he said it was a mad house and fights all over the store. No thing is worth that.... So my answer is it is not about how mature your daughter is, its about your shopping area. If it is safe then go for it, if it is not then it is better to keep them safe at home.

I ordered mine on Amazon last week. It was 41.00 which is 4 dollars less then all the other stores plus depending on the state you live in there is no tax and its free shipping!

Ordered the Jake and the neverland pirate ship from Amazon today, since it was a hot toy I dont predict it having a huge sale...my son wants a bunch of other things but that is the main thing he wants so Im just glad to actually know I have it!

My two younger ones are still toy age but my oldest daughter is out of the toy phase. She only wants clothes, makeup, art supplies, and room decor since she wants to change her room to a Paris theme. Its hard to believe that she is out of that stage =(

I agree with alot of the others ideas- protein bars, razors, gel, cologne, gift cards, movie tickets since you said hes into movies. As far as the other post- my go to items for the kids range from small toys, gift cards, toothbrushes, ds games, perfumes, body sprays, makeup... for adults- lottery tickets, candles, gift cards, cologne/perfume, dvds, and any little trinkets I think they might enjoy!

Yay, you made me feel so much better, I will save a few for myself but am planning to give to a few people with their gift cards as just an added lil extra =)

I LOVE their Christmas shows...I bought a few things this year on easy pay and that made it affordable..and Im trying mrs prindables for the first time, deal was pretty good ( 41.00 for 20.00 giftwrapped apples) has anyone ever tried them before?

Im hoping to spend less but I do have quite a bit more people on the list this year so hoping to at least break even about the same as last year...

Half price books- 10/10

I buy all year long according to sales and clearance. In Sept,Oct I pick up the hot items that I know will be really hard to find. I do my bulk of shopping in Nov and Dec though.

Thats a very vague article, I do alot of holiday shopping at Target so I hope they will still at least have some good sales!

I dont really know any antiblack Friday people but my bff and I are the only ones I know that actually go to do it..However my sister is always anticommercial anything so Black Friday is insane to her.

I saw at Target yesterday an interactive lalaloopsy doll that sings and her hair spins. It was 70.00!! I know my daughter is going to want that but I think that is WAY overpriced...

Yes, I shop all year round on clearance but probably still at least 50% of my shopping is done nov-dec.

Not sure how it will work out because I usually send my dh to Target and walmart (if necessary) and then I hit the outlets, kmart, and mall with the bff. Quess I will have to wait on ads to see how it goes...but I cant wait anyway =)

I will be homebound this year so going back and forth between Bradenton and Brandon Florida. My bf partner just actually told me yesterday he is going to Toronto this year for the holidays so I think my hubby will have to fill in for him this year..should be interesting..lol

I just bought some from bed bath and beyond it was 20 bucks for a set of 10 but I had a coupon for 5 off 15 so it came to about 1.50 each. I know that's more then you wanted to spend but they were great quality and I've never seen them less then that.
