I would like to get a Kindle for MIL for Christmas. She is not very technology friendly, so we are not considering the Fire. It would have too many options for her and get very confusing. I'm leaning toward the Kindle Keyboard, but would like opinions. Which one is the easiest to use?

This statement is true, however do remember that the regular DS games work with the 3DS, and do not play in 3D. That would be an option: if you don't want them to use the 3D right now, just buy the regular DS games and when they are ready for the 3D you could buy them the 3D games. DS13 likes the new design of the 3DS with the joystick style pad controller more than his DS Lite or DSI, and plays it most of the time. HTH.

Thanks for the suggestion, but he doesn't use them as spoilers or walkthroughs on his games. He just likes the Strat guides to learn about the characters and such.

Yeah, I know what your talking about. You got a free single figure with that sale too, if you spent over $120.00. It took off the single figure and charged me for the 3 pack. I was suppose to get a free 3 pack and free single. They fixed it as soon as they realized what happened.

Yeah, Amazon has been sold out for quite a while on the collectors edition. I noticed that Walmart had it BF, but I will save more with my power up rewards along with my discount on the strat guide.

Geez, what is their problem? I had the same thing happen to me when I bought mine. I bought when they had all video games's at buy 2 get 1 free, and get a free figurine with purchase of $120.00. I bought 2 of the starter sets (one for DS and other for nephew) and since there is no other game out that DS wanted I chose for the free one a 3 pack figureset. It rang up correctly but once the cashier rang up the free single figure it charged me for the 3 pack. Luckily I noticed it before I left the store and the cashier in Electronics dept fixed it then and there. I must admit my local TRU has great customer service.

I agree with racerfan. The Xbox 360 has alot more kid friendly games than the PS3.

I am a little impressed with some of the TV prices, however there is not much I really need or want. Not that we needed one, but the biggest surprise for me is not seeing a Nintendo DS on there. I guess for the first time in 12 years Walmart will not be my first stop.

$50 Itunes card or store giftcard?

I bought the majority of my dvd's on Amazon last year. They had great deals the entire week of Thanksgiving in their Gold Box and Lightning deals. They matched everything Walmart had that I wanted on dvds on BF in the Lightning deals. Pre-adding them to your cart will not work with the Lightning deals because you have to click directly through the link on deal page to get it at that price. I have used coupons on dvds at BestBuy. They usually have the best prices on new releases.

Are you looking for the Zelda Skyward Sword in the collectors edition or standard edition. I pre-ordered DS13 the collectors edition at Gamestop along with the collectors edition strat guide. It is still showing you can still pre-order on Gamestop website in both copies, or at Amazon in standard edition. The collectors edition comes with a gold Wii Remote Plus controller, A special music CD featuring orchestral arrangements of select songs that will be performed at The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert.

My DS has both systems, and when he put Skylanders on his Christmas list he wrote for Xbox 360 in big bold letters. He doesn't play his Wii much at all, though. If I bought the Xbox 360 system for Christmas I think I would get them the game for 360.

Yep. I remember that too. The store we go to had a sign on the front door informing you to go to the one in the tools section. The problem was there are 4 doors to enter and that was the only door that had a sign to inform you where to go. Alot of people waited at the wrong door and got nothing.

I'm guessing your looking for them for PS3 since God of War 3 is made by Sony.... Amazon has Bayonetta for PS3 for $17.01. God of War is still $25.97, so not much of a saving there....

The old PS3's play the PS2 games, but that was one of the features that Playstation cut to lower the price of the system. I bought DH's when they first came out, so it does play the PS2 games, but they were ALOT higher back then. It seems unreal now, but I think I paid around $600.00 for it back in 2006. I must admit, though......He has definately gotten my money's worth out of it.

I am strickly an elliptical girl. You burn FAR more calories than with a treadmill. DH bought me the Norditrack E7 SV last year. I burn 700 calories on a 30 minute walk. (I am lucky to burn 1/3 of that on a treadmill.) As for wait, or not wait for BF. He bought mine the week before BF, and paid the same price for it as they had it on sale for BF. I think it was $599. I would at least wait until the Sears ad is posted to see what they have in it and decide from there.

I think so. My DS13 says 360 is better and DH says PS3 is better. The graphics look the same to me. I'm guessing one of the football games you are talking about is Madden. DH has that game on PS3 and wow it's almost like your out there on the field......

Oh, well if the games he likes comes on both systems I think you would be set with whichever one you choose. My DS likes the Teen fighting games like Naruto and Dragon Ball Z and some of those are only 360. I've always suspected that is why he originally ask for it. Does he realize that the PS3's no longer play the PS2 games? That could be why he's asking for the PS3.

We have both PS3 and Xbox 360. Both are awesome systems. I bought the PS3 for DS13 (He was around 8 at that time) and DH to share, however we ended up buying DS the 360 because it has more age apropriate games for him. They have finally started to bring out more PS3 games for teens, but DS still likes his 360 better. I would ask why he wants the PS3 though, because if he is like my DS there is always a reason. For instance, they make some games for only the PS3 or Xbox 360.

I know the price will not go lower, but hoping for a bigger giftcard to buy some accessories with. I'm debating on going ahead and getting it now..... I would go with Target if I did and get the store giftcard . The itunes card will really not work that great for us, I know DS will buy apps and games, but I think he wants it more to stream movies online.
