It's usually about 50/50 chance online stock check is correct. Thanks, I will check TRU. They do usually have a pretty good size inventory. It's a little more than the other stores, but sometimes it's just easier than running around to find them. I didn't expect to hear people saying they were still seeing these dolls instore considering they have gone so expensive online.

DH's friend's daughter is asking for some Monster High Dolls for Christmas, and I'm not having much luck finding them for him at a decent price. Anyone have any idea to where I could be looking for: Ghoulia Yelps with pet Toralei with pet Holt Hyde with pet Gil Webber Skull Shores Clawdeen and Howleen 2 pack set. I checked Amazon and Ebay and most of them are just soooooo expensive. Anyone heard anything about new releases before Christmas this year? TIA.

The original plan was less, until DS14 handed my his "wish list" ,that is..... It's not gonna happen this year.

Any favorite sports teams? My DH is a huge football fan, so his stocking is usually filled with his favorite team stuff. Things I have used before: watch, keychain, funny pair of boxers, money soap (you find this at Hallmark, and it has money rolled up in the middle of the cake of soap), personalized ink pen, Patriots NFL license .925 game coin (he loves coins), team t-shirt (last year I did a 2nd Amendment one instead of football), ibeat earbuds, new hat, and always has to include a videogame for his PS3, then gum, candy, scratch-off lotto tickets etc.....

One of my friends sons bought his girlfriend a pair for Christmas last year, so I kept a pretty good watch on them in hopes of finding a decent deal for him. They never had a sale on them at all. Maybe this year, though. They are all the rage with the teen and tween girls in my area.

I haven't saw anything great right now, but ToysRUs usually has deals on games closer to Christmas. They usually do a Buy 2 get 1 free or Buy 1 get 1 half off. They usually start this around the end of October or early November.

Wii U in 32 GB deluxe set is sold out on Gamestop.com and Bestbuy.com. All of Gamestops in my area have stopped taking orders, too, but are saying they are requesting permission to sell more. I'm glad I got mine fast......

I guess I will be pre-ordering the Wii U from Bestbuy. Well, you could use the regular Wii or the Xbox 360 with Kinect. I like the 360 with Kinect better because you don't have to use controllers, it just reacts with your body. With the regular Wii you have to use controllers.

It is kinda hard to gauge how popular something like that will be. My local Gamestop is saying they expect it to be big, though. I think with the release date so close to Christmas it will be, but who knows. Wonder when Amazon will be taking pre-orders?

It's the same way at our house. DS14 is our only child, and he is the only grandchild to my parents, and first grandchild to DS's parents. Needless to say he is spoiled rotten. It kinda ruins Christmas because he just doesn't get excited like I wish he did. Last year we did Christmas big, but I had planned to scale back this year. Doesn't look like that is gonna happen, though.....

They will lose alot of business if they don't. I wonder if this will affect their Black Friday sales too, or just weekly sales? I sure hope it doesn't encourage other stores to do the same.

This article has leaked photos of a new Fire. Possible to be announced Thursday at their next press release. This article is estimating 3 different models of the Kindle Fire 2 with one possibly being 4g. Maybe it is just rumors, I don't know. I just saw it on my homepage, and thought I would share it for those who like the Fire.

Oh, yes. My sis in law. She lives about 4 hours away and they always come in for Thanksgiving, and of course MIL drags her along with us. She was sitting in the floor sleeping in a corner at Wally World last year while we waited in line for one of the deals. People were looking at her like she was crazy. It was hilarious . She thinks were nuts! I tell her shes the crazy one. Why go if she hates it that bad and then not try to get the deals. Of course, we do try to grab things she says she might like to have......

Rumors now are saying that the PS4 wont be out until end of next year. That would put them releasing it around same time as Xbox 720. I don't like some of what I'm hearing as rumors are that you will not be able to play used games on either system. Xbox 720 is suppose to feature a bluray player.

Nintendo is rumored to be trying to keep the price as low as $299. It does look very interesting but they only have 15 confirmed games for it. You can see the game list here. They are promising to offer as many games as PS3 and Xbox 360 but Activision has already announced they will not be supporting it. Also on a side note...PS4 Orbis is rumored to be coming out in December of this year (some say it wont be out till 2013), and Xbox 720 Durango is due out by Christmas next year. Neither company has verified the release date.

DS14 has both, and much prefers his 360. The only workout the wii gets is when I pull out my fit board and workout games..... We also have a PS3 and use it for online streaming because online is not free on Xbox. I'm thinking of getting a bluray player with internet connection to save on it though. Our gaming systems get enough use in my house without using them to watch movies online.
