thanks so much! I think I'll buy now. While the $50 gc tru was offering last bf for the ipod were good it didn't make me want to go out and wait in line for 1 $50 gc. Now I think I;ll buy it, put away some extra cash and I can buy a new ipod for bf and then return the other one if I feel like the day after:) Thus keeping the $50 gcs if it's the same this year? I just want a cheap netbook or laptop for dd and myself. I had a $199 netbook I purchased bfore bf 2 yrs ago from target that lasted almost 2 yrs. Did well. I want something of the same for dd. DSI's I saw someone said the ds lite would be $50 on bf? They're $150 on amazon.com now! How would they price break them $100?

I figured I'd pay $199 for a decent netbook. Is the cvs netbook worth it? I got one from 6th ave last yr for $99 that was crap. This yr I cannot afford to do that. ANy help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I need to buy 3 ipods, 2 dsis, 2 laptops and 1 3dsi. will the sales for these items be worth it on bf like major deals or shall i just buy now and spend the extra few $? I remember last bf that tru had ipods with $50 so I'm hoping they'll have the same this bf but I don't know I can count on it. I know laptops are flexible but I'm shopping by myself this year, probably with a baby. What are your thoughts? Thanks

yes. DD wants the barbie dream house and I worry she'll get it, use it, and it'll break a few days later. That's what happened a few years ago with this disney baby nursery set. Just days after xmas it completely fell apart. I was so irked. Same thing happened with the polly pocket cruise.

i agree about the quality of toys. My son got a thundercats toy this weekened. Hand broke off immediately. All of dd's baby doll toys are cheap. Break easily.

This will be the first year I am shopping amazon.com on bf as I apparently have accumulated gc's and I'm saving them for bf. I have $20 so far and hope to have another 20 or so by then???? So maybe $40 to get a small toy or something for one of my kids. What's the best strategy for shopping amazon.com on bf? IS there a certain time or anything that's better or do the deals run all day?

This year I've decided to save all my gift cards for bf. I'm trying to resist spending them. HOW do you all manage that? I so far have $50 amex gc, $50 to toys r us, and $25 to walmart. Hoping to aquire more around tgiving.

my advice is to bring PLENTY of snacks and drinks to eat for the lines. I was HUGE the last 2 bf's and it was hard cuz I hadn't eaten 2 yrs ago. Was laying down in line literally. Hopefully people have sympathy and let you in. Most don't though:(

I saw on the news that major stores like sears and costco and walmart are rolling out christmas stuff between now and end of sept. I guess with the economy they figure the earlier the better. Great for me! I can get my shopping done faster:)

With so many out of jobs and the terrible economy are you guys cutting back on your christmas and bf spending limits? I'm trying to teach my oldest dd that 1 large gift is the same as many small ones but she isn't getting it at her age. She wants a laptop terribly. I got that $99 one last yr from 6th ave and it was piece of trash. Wound up returning it. This yr I figured it'd cost $250 for a decent netbook for a kid that just connects to the net and plays games. But when I told her that was her main gift she balked and said that wasnt fair. I figured I'd buy a few smaller gifts, and she's also getting a 3dsi but not sure what else to get? I have 4 other kids too to shop for. I usually spend about $1K on all 5 kids. Is it better to wait till bf or start shoping now to find deals and try and save money or just cut back my budget a bit? What is everyone else doing?

does anyone know if the shake it up dolls from the hit disney show are out yet or when they're coming out? That I KNOW dd wants.

I've gone there on bf before and the store is usually 50% off everything. It's actually a great deal for the more expensive stuff and I loved it. IT's all 50% off before noon.

thank you. That's actually a great suggestion:) I went last 2 yrs ago with my oldest 3 and was pg with my now 20 mo old. It was chaotic but doable. They stayed right with me and we got what we came for, and mainly that was the cheap clothing and pjs. But adding 2 more now I'm wondering. I will have the babies in a wagon and my older 3 will stay right by my side. We usually head for walmart first.

last yrs sales on bf were a disappointment to me:( I didn't find much worthwhile. Hoping this year is different?

How do you manage to do it and get things done? I don't unfortunately have help or really have the option of hiring a sitter so early so I have 5 kiddoes and was thinking this yr I'd venture out early. Last yr and yr before I was pg both times and thankfully I won't be this yr:) Now I don't want to start an argument. I'm just wondering how those with kids do it? I did it 2 yrs ago but it was very disorganized and chaotic and i want to get to walmart and take advantage or the stuff early like pjs and all. Looking for input. Thanks!

does it seem that the "hottest" toys aren't so hot anymore? Maybe it's just me but ever since zhu zhu pets I just don't have the gotta get it attitude anymore to schlep all my kids out at dawn or before and stand in line in HOPES of getting one of these. I'd rather get something else. And all the "hot" toys have NEVER gotten much use in my house:(
