It does make different lengths. My DD made one at TRU and they measured her wrist and told her how many bands to start with. Not sure how big they get but she could have made it much much bigger.

I ordered 2 Christmas ornaments, a doll for a friend of the family who collects them, and some of the Barbie type dolls for DD. A few more things are now off my list!!

I got 2 last year through Walmart.com. They are still doing great. I know I paid less than 80 a piece and it got good reviews. Keep yours eyes open and you will find one on BF or before.

I wish the opening times we also 4 am on Friday. I am trying to get as many deals now as I can so I won't need as much on BF. I will probably be out at some time but it depends on the sales and what the family is doing. Most of us head out at some point.

Got on more person on my list done, and was able to get DD10 a jacket and outfit tonight. I am getting it done little by little.

My favorite gift to my grandbabies so far has been the Leap Frog Scout. You can program it to say their name in songs and as it speaks different phrases. I have 2 for Christmas this year. I also like the fisher price stack rings. When Kohls has a good toy sale plus the 30 % off they are worth shopping at.

Our Target (Hillcrest, Chesapeake Va) has a few outdoor things still on clearance but on 30% off. I am mainly wanting the cover for patio furniture. I have a set on lay a way for mom and dad for Christmas and would love to get the cover. Any ideas when they mark this kind of thing. I saw it last Saturday, and checked it again today but no change.

My kids (the grown ones) don't think its a stocking unless it has a toothbrush in it!! I thought about not doing stockings for my older ones a few years ago but they did not like that idea at all. This year I have quite a lot on clearance for the girls but not the guys.

I hope plan A works for you. But if not I think you have the right attitude in looking for ways to make it special. Maybe you can find someone else who has an empty nest this year and have Christmas breakfast together or take gifts to a nursing home or hospital that morning. Sometimes lately I have been watching the old home videos of when my older kids were little and wishing the years had not flown by so fast.
