  1. Tree was completely decorated last night and wreaths outside. I tried talking hubby and son to put up the lights outside tonight but so far they are not getting with my program. They think tomorrow morning sounds better.
  2. Hubby and I shopped while college aged son and teen daughter walked around the mall.
  3. We went to our local mall this morning around 5:30. The mall was practically empty except Starbucks and Belk's in the shoe department. It was really kinda odd. People were pleasant and friendly. We stayed until around 10:30 and then headed to Best Buy. Parked 2 stalls from the front. Wasn't any busier than a typical weekend really. Really kinda shocked at it all.
  4. sas377 I hear ya! Great store and prices there.
  5. I have always had such a hard time filling stockings. I will say it was easier when the kids were little but now I have an almost 20 year old and a 14 year old. It's so expensive to fill.
  6. Thanks everyone! I will go check out Jos A Banks this weekend. I have one about half hour away. We moved down south and no longer have a Boscovs unfortunately.
  7. Anyone hear of any great suit deals going on or remember seeing any buy one get one free in previous years? Really hoping to find some incredible deal with my college age son.
  8. I am thankful that we are able to pay our son's fees to send him out of state to college and that he appreciates what we have done for him. We are tight money wise, but I'm ok with that. I never had the support from my parents because they were too busy to be bothered.
  9. Our son will be home from college Thanksgiving week, daughter is out of school most of the week and hubby took vacation time for the week. My hope is that Christmas lights will go up outside on Wed and that Thursday after dinner that we will put up the tree while watching Christmas Vacation. We were suppose to be headed to FL this Thanksgiving but plans were changed and we are now staying home. I'm really hoping that since no one will be visiting during Thanksgiving that we will be able to decorate and have the entire house decked out.
  10. We are also fairly organized in our house. We enjoy watching what each other gets instead of having a free for all. Wrapping paper isn't cleaned up until we are all done though.

    AAFES

Haven't heard anything yet. I swear it's usually out by now.
  12. Loving the snow globe too!
  13. We have been going out for BF for as long as I can remember. We don't go out on Thursday because we want Thanksgiving to be about family and not about shopping. We go to sleep around 9 and get up and shower around 12:30 and try to be out the door no later than 1:15. When we got to the mall last year, it was only busy in Belk's shoe department. As soon as 3 am rolled around, we noticed the mall had pretty well cleared out. 4 am it was dead. We left the mall and headed to Target and Best Buy. No lines, lots of carts and for the most part things were not messy. It was really weird to be honest. Hoping this year will be the same!
  14. Belk, Target and maybe Walmart for some inexpensive movies. I've been lucky to have gotten some good deals already. We are cutting back money wise a little bit this year. DS is in college out of state so I am really looking for some great deals since money is tighter these days. DD is wanting some new dresses. Had her today make out her wish list. Afterwards we looked on the Belk website. I wanted to see the dresses she liked. They have some really great dresses in the junior department right now on sale. They had some great dresses that she loved for 10 something. Great prices!

    QVC BF

Does anyone know if QVC has a decent BF? We have gotten some really good deals over the last few months. We don't shop often on there, but I am wondering if I need to add QVC to my list this year. Also, do you remember if they had a leaked add before?
