  1. Poor guy!!! We had the same kind of illness sweep through our family last week, it was brutal! I hope you feel better soon! And you're not letting one single person down. Everyone has a year where they get sick on a holiday week, happens to everyone. (((hugs)))
  2. If anyone has a Five Below store around them, they have the cutest Angry Birds stuff! I was there today and they had packs of puzzle erasers (you can take them apart) with 3 birds (red, blue, or black) or 3 pigs (regular, mustache, and King Pig). And they had mini plushes and posters. Super cute and super cheap. A nice addition to any Angry Birds fan's Christmas, I think. :)
  3. Everyone, thank you so much! Fantastic ideas here today!! Ok, so here's what I ended up getting: Crayola Color Wonder set, Crayola Color Wonder Sounds Studio, Aquadoodle penguin, Alex's Dirty Dogs tub toys, a Yo Gabba Gabba blanket, Just Like Home vaccume cleaner, and some books! I'll grab that Cars 2 playdoh set on BF, and a few of the Kohls books with animals too. I'm very happy! Add that to the stuff I already have and he has a nice little Christmas! Thanks for all the help!!! :)
  4. He does have a spiraly ramp thingy that he got from Santa last year, and the art easel and desk, but I love the ideas you all have! I definitely plan on picking up a few of the Kohls books with animals, those are always so cute! I love the bath toys idea up there! Definitely going to get something for the tub. Keep them coming! Thanks so much for all the great ideas! I found an Aquadoodle stuffed animal today that he can write on, so that will be cool. Need some more ideas though...
  5. We actually don't have Shake and Go cars, so I will check those out! And the bubble mower got me thinking about a little vaccume cleaner, I think he would like one of those because he's amazed when I vaccume. He had the cowboy hat already, but boots probably wouldn't work for him because he prefers to be barefoot all the time. Great ideas though! We do have K'Nex, but he doesn't even look at them. I wish he liked them because there are so many cute sets out there! :)
  6. LOVING the ideas!!! Definitely getting some Crayola Color Wonder sets for him, awesome idea there. Checking out this Mobigo...not too sure with that one...and that Alphie is cute, I'm checking that out too. Those jammies are adorable! He does already have a work bench and tools. And no, the number of gifts isn't anywhere close to even right now! I'm at 21 for DS7 and a whopping 8 for DS2. Yikes. Even if I just got 8 or 10 things I would be happy. So far the Crayola idea is a keeper, and I'm looking into the other things. Keep them coming! Thank you so much!!!
  7. Is this only for card holders, or should I be keeping an eye on my mail too? I would love to get one of those coupons, but don't have a Kohls card.
  8. I just bought the Pillow Pet, so I can't give an opinion on the 2, but I just wanted to say that I believe it was in the Big Lots ad that they'll have the Happy Nappers for $15 each on BF. :)
  9. Thanks to all of you, I decided to jump on the Pillow Pet express here. I was at Kmart and they had a great selection, so I picked up a dinosaur for DS7 and a horse for DS2! They're so soft! I'm really happy with them. Thanks, everyone! :)
  10. Remember how I said I wasn't going overboard on DS7 this Christmas? Yeah...well forget about that. I couldn't help myself. I have a TON of stuff for him, including a Wii and Skylanders. All I have for the little guy so far is the Fisher Price Little People Talking Zoo, the safari truck that goes with it, some animals that go with it, and Sesame Street Lucky Ducks. I know I want to get him some books because he looooves to read with me, but other than that I'm stuck. I like the kids to have around the same number of gifts, but it doesn't have to be the same budget. DS2 doesn't know the difference between a Wii and book yet anyway. Oh, I also bought 2 Big Joe beanbag chairs at WM, one for each boy. They're each also getting a Pillow Pet (thanks to you guys for helping me out with that!). What's out there for preschool kids right now that we don't already have? It's been 5 years since I've bought anything for a toddler, since there's such a big gap in my kids' ages. I was going to get that cookie monster that eats the cookies and they go into his backpack, because I thought DS2 would like that to go with his Tickle Me Elmo, but when we looked at it at the store he didn't care. I'm looking online but nothing is jumping out at me. Since our little guy has a 7-year-old big brother, he gets all of his old toys that big brother has grown out of playing with. We have enough Thomas the Train stuff to stretch from our house to yours, Mr. Potato heads, Imaginext stuff, Aquadoodles, rocking horses, a big play kitchen, a tool bench, a Power Wheels Lightening McQueen, all that kind of stuff. He loves Play-Doh. Maybe some cool Play-Doh set? We have the play-doh kitchen and ice cream maker already. Help. Any suggestions, with links, photos, whatever! are very welcome. Thanks everyone!!
  11. Sorry!!!! I hate that feeling!!! I was just so surprised that they were sold out! They still had plenty of the 32gb though, if that helps.
  12. Slightly off topic here, but my mom and I went out to get 2 of the 8gb for my brothers, and our local Target and WM were completely sold out already. The kids at Target said they're scrambling to get more in for BF. We went to BB and they had a full stock of both the black and the white. They still had 32gbs at WM and Target, but I was really surprised that the 8gb was already flying off the shelves there. Mom was super relieved to have her little hands on them at Best Buy. She had initially ordered them online from WM but after the order went through she got an email saying they couldn't fill her order.
  13. I don't plan on getting a lot on BF, but I'm tagging along with my brother. We're starting at WM, then heading to Target and Kohls. :)
  14. That's WONDERFUL news!!! What a Merry Christmas for you!!
  15. My mom just picked up a Nook Color for my husband for Christmas, and we're in love with it! He won't even be expecting it. :) Smooth, beautiful picture, really nice. She ordered it for $199.99 online from Best Buy and they included a 2GB micro SD card and 30 free eBooks with it for free. I'm jealous! Lol
  16. What about a Zibit or 2? They make a few different ones, and they are adorable little robots with remote controls. They spin and roll forward and back. And they're $10 each! http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12167510&camp=PPC:Google Here's a demo video: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/16/zibits-mini-remote-control-robots-spin-right-round-baby/
  17. I didn't know anything about exclusive figures! Do you guys think I should pick some up or will the 3 that come in that starter pack be enough?
  18. Our stockings hang over our fireplace, and they usually get completely ignored until the kids have opened all their gifts from Santa. Lol. I fill them with a little candy, some small toys (dollar type stuff), and something cute like slipper socks or a little stuffed animal or something. Nothing crazy. I've picked up some Magic Milk Straws for their stockings already: http://www.perpetualkid.com/quick-milk-magic-straw.aspx?variation=6516 My mom still fills my stocking, how adorable is that?? On Christmas Eve morning she comes over and fills mine and my hubby's, and we're not allowed to touch them until Christmas morning. There's always some snacks, things like a change purse and lotions, chapstick, etc. for me, and manly stuff for him. :)
  19. Wanted to revive this thread to see how everyone is doing with Skylanders. Our stores keep selling out around here, but I managed to get my hands on the starter pack with 3 figures at Target today! WOO!!! I'm not waiting until BF or after, since it's hard enough to get already. I don't think I'm going to bother with the extra figures for now. I'll just let my son play with these 3 and get it started and then he can go out after Christmas and get more guys when he sees them. I'm SO EXCITED for him to open this on Christmas morning, I can hardly stand it!
  20. I added a Keurig to my Christmas list. :)
  21. Ooooh that necklace is so nice! Great idea! Love all the neck ideas too! Purses are always fun. Maybe I'll do those 3...and then something else?
  22. The Girls Day Out thing, while sweet, wouldn't be special enough for a gift in our case because we do everything together anyway, and both of us hate spas and massages. Lol. I appreciate the suggestions though! I'm looking for tangible things that can be unwrapped on Christmas. :)
  23. You guys are awesome, as always!!! Getting some great ideas here! Feel free to keep them coming! I'm actually on my way to Target with her right now, but I'll be back in a little bit and I'll check the thread here. Thanks so much! :)
