  1. I got a TON of stuff this morning! Everything on my list in fact, except for the hoodies at WM but that was no big deal. So I picked up my mom at 3:30 and we got some coffee and headed to WM. Hung out by the Air Hogs pallet, talking to some nice people around us, waiting for 5 a.m. Then at 4:45 the associate that was standing there said "Here, just go ahead" and opened the pallet so we were done with everything and in line by 5:10! YAY! Then we heeded across the street to Target where we stood in a line about 300 people deep for about 15 minutes, then got some carts and ran to toys. Got everything we wanted there except the DS games, but again no biggie. Then we went to Lowes and TRU (longest check-out line of the day, 1 hour), and Bob Evans for breakfast. So here's what I got today: Walmart: Hot Wheels City Set $20 Kung Fu Panda $9 (4) Hot Wheels 10-pks $5 each Trivial Pursiut 80's - $10 (2) Air Hogs combo packs - $20 each Target: Bee Movie - $5.98 National Treasure - $5.98 Happy Feet - $3.98 Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark - $5.98 House Season 3 - $13.98 Crayola Glow Station - $23 Littlest Pet Shoppe - $8 Barbie 60-pc furniture set - $29.98 Terrainiac R/C vehicle - $35 Hot Wheels 4-Lane Raceway - $10 Rhino Rampage game - $14 Lowes: Kobalt 20 pc socket set - $9.98 Kobalt 4 pc locking pliers set - $9.98 Task Force 46 pc tool set $9.98 TRU: Toss Across - $17.99 Tumblin' Monkeys - FREE Spongebob Sno Cone Maker - $7.99 Vtech Learning Laptop - $19.99 (2) Magnext set - $9.99 each Lego Set - $9.99 So we had a very good day!!!
  2. I wonder what they're waiting for at Walmart...do people generally camp out just for the big stuff like TV's or is it for toys and stuff like that? That takes some dedication! I'll be dragging my butt out of bed at 2 a.m. on Friday morning to head out.

  4. I see with some of us it's the first year we're skipping certain stores. This will be the first BF that I don't go to Walmart.
  5. My mom and I have our final plans in place!!! We will be at Toys R Us for 5 a.m. to pick up some little odds and ends like board games and legos, then it's on to Target for 6 a.m. for the major shopping!! After Target we'll head across the parking lot to Kohls just to check out some little things, and after that it's breakfast at Bob Evans and coffee!! If we have time after that (I have to be home by noon so DH can go to work, no babysitter for the kiddo that day) we'll pop into a few other stores just to check out the deals. We have a new Outlet mall right by my house, and you will not catch me anywhere NEAR that place on BF! I'm pregnant and don't want to get trampled!! lol!
  6. Oh OH!!! And Burl Ives and Frank Sinatra!!!!! How could I forget to list them???
  7. YAY!!! I can't wait to see the full ad!!
  8. Santa gets cookies and milk on special Christmas dishes. My son throws a mix of oats and glitter (because apparently reindeer can eat glitter, lol) all through the yard, but he also likes to leave carrots or apples on the table for Santa to take up onto the roof for the reindeer to eat along the way. He's not satisfied unless there are crumbs on the plate and a half eaten carrot by the fireplace, lol!
  9. We can wait inside with all the plastic-wrapped pallets at my WM too. But they do put them in some odd places. Last year they did have some of the toy pallets in the toy section, which shocked me, but most of them are in the food section and in housewares. You have to run all over the store to get everything on your list!
  10. I hate these stupid things, lol... I have ONE in my possession, as you all know. So I figured ok, I can't find them anywhere so I'll just make this a stocking stuffer for ds4 and he won't know any better. Wrong. Somehow he knows all about the game, the arena, the shooters, all of it! One of his little buddies in school had some for show and tell and that did it! He said he hopes most of all that Santa brings some Bakugan! UGH!! They need to stock more of these!
  11. I say go for it! Give your dd the full Christmas experience! My son was 8 months old for his first Christmas in 2004 and I still went all out for it! Tree, stocking, gifts, cookies for Santa, the whole nine yards. Even if he doesn't remember it, he definitely enjoyed the day! And I have some wonderful memories myself! Have a merry Christmas!
  12. I have to say I see your point about WM. The longer I have the Target and Kohls ads to look at, the more I wonder if I will actually find anything in the WM ad worth going for. We'll see. I'm still confidant that they'll have some pretty amazing deals.
  13. Absolutely! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
  14. I'm having a tough time on my parents and my inlaws this year! No one needs or wants anything!! They all gave me the same response "Just spending time with our kids for Christmas is all we want..." Well that's nice and all, but I want to buy some gifts! lol... I've been entertaining the idea of a gift basket, maybe something from Harry & David, for each set of parents. I don't know. I plan on just walking around some stores and waiting for something to jump out at me!
  15. They tax my bonus too!! It's never huge, but they tax it anyway. In fact, there's always a chance I won't notice it in my paycheck because of the taxes! lol! Ah well, at least we get something. My old boss used to give me a ham. That was nice. I like the money though, lol.
  16. I think they look wonderful!! I'm the same way, I decorate every inch of my house for Christmas! It's only once a year!!
  17. No I missed that! I usually watch WPXI. The local news has had an awful lot of stories on this year about Black Friday, hasn't it? I don't remember them covering it like this last year! More snow coming tomorrow for us!!!
  18. My boss usually forgets to put the bonuses in for the check before Christmas, lol...I've come to expect mine to be more of a New Years bonus.
  19. I'm 15 min south of Pittsburgh, and we got to enjoy some beautiful snow today too! My son was so excited! No delays, but a decent amount. My road was ICE this morning though on my way to work!
  20. :cheesy:Here's what I have on my Target list so far: 2 Terrainiacs R/C vehicles $35/ea 2 Air Hogs R/C hellicopters $15/ea 60-pc Barbie Furniture and Doll set $30 Hot Wheels 4-Lane Raceway $10 Littlest Pet Shop sets $8/ea King Fu Panda $13 DS Games $7, $11, $20 (depending on titles I'll probably get 5 or 6) DVD's for $3.98, $5.98, $8.98 (lots of these) Durabuilt 101-pc mechanics tool set $20 Armor All Holiday Gift Set $20 I'm excited to get that much shopping done there! I mostly use BF to get my brothers and the kiddos all finished up. I can get the adults any time.
  21. My hubby did the outside decorations last Sunday when the weather was still nice. We don't light up until Thanksgiving night, but they're up! The only thing we'll have to pull out are the reindeer and the snowflakes that line our front sidewalk! As for bah-humbug neighbors, we have a few ourselves. But I get my revenge by watching them freeze their butts off on their ladders in a blizzard putting up lights in December while I'm in my warm house drinking a hot cup of coffee, lol!
  22. Brad, I could just kiss you!! I've been able to make almost my whole shopping list in the past couple of days! I don't know what to do now though....I don't think I need to go to Walmart!! I'm shocked and confused, lol!! Kohls at 4 a.m. and then Target at 6 a.m. and they are in the same plaza for me...I might just hit those this year!
  23. Ok, I've made my extensive list for Target, lol...Walmart better watch out, I might not need them after all the target bargains this year!!
  24. My son wants these too, but with the cat and the puppy, I'm just not too sure. Plus we have a baby on the way....Santa is a little nervous about these. Glad to hear some other peoples' opinions.
  25. How The Grinch Stole Christmas comes on TBS tonight!!!! YAY!!!
