  1. Target line is long Walmart is full of crazies I love Black Friday
  2. Thanks so much!!! I'm looking forward to this one. I think it will be the perfect reward for a night of bargain hunting. Love your Steelers avatar btw!
  3. We have dinner at my house, and we have a small family (just my parents and my 2 brothers, plus me and the hubby and our 2 boys). We tell them to get here any time between 12 and 12:30 and we eat at 1:00-ish. We take our time with our meal, then spend the rest of the day visiting, eating desserts, watching football, looking at BF ads, eating again. They're usually ready to leave around 8:00, and then my brother and I get ready for a night of BF shopping. I can't wait!!!
  4. What time do you think you would have to be there for this one? Do they offer a lot of the bags or do they only have a few? I never make it to the mall on BF, but with the earlier start times for the other stores I don't see any reason why I can't treat myself to some VS at 7:00.
  5. Whoa, thanks for posting this! I'll have to run up there and see what I can find. I didn't think we would see wave 2 until closer to Thanksgiving.
  6. The giants and the new figures don't work with the old game, you would need the new Skylanders Giants game. But the same portal works with it, and all if your guys from the first game work for the new one.
  7. I just got back from GameStop for the Skylanders Giants release! So excited! I had the game itself on preorder, so I was there for the new figures. Not too many people in line, so I managed to get 3 of the new Giants (crusher, bouncer, and swarm) and 3 of the new figures (pop fizz. Some guy in a skeleton horse thing and a water guy with ice daggers), plus the game came with a giant called TreeRex. My son is going to be so excited on christmas morning! I have to say in case you're out looking for them today, some of the people in line said that Walmart put them out early and sold out, Kmart didn't get anything in, and we cleaned out the GameStop since each of us were buying all the new figures they had. They had a lot of the reposed guys from the first game but none of us really get the point of those. Just a heads up! I'm so excited, I feel like my shopping season has officially begun!
  8. For those of us in the southwest PA area it's the Eat N'Park Christmas tree helping the star commercial. As soon as I see that it's officially the holiday season.
  9. So did I!!! It was terrible. My brother and I wanted to leave my house at 3:00. I launched myself out of bed at 6:30 in a total panic and we went out anyway. Luckily I didn't need any big items that year and only missed out on a few smaller items. I do much better with the Thanksgiving night start times. No chance of sleeping in! I have to say I've never seen anything crazy around here on BF.
  10. That was kind if what I was thinking with the corded ones but I wasn't sure if the cord would be a burden. I know his hedge trimmer is corded and he has the world's longest extension cord that he plugs into the garage for that, so maybe he would go the same with this. He also needs a new power drill. I'll check the Dewalt stuff since a lot of you are saying they're good! I really appreciate the help.
  11. It just doesn't feel like the holiday season until the Walmart legal notice arrives! I'm so excited now!
  12. I'm having a hard time with the corded or cordless thing. Looks like he has an equal amount of both. I really appreciate everyone's help with this!
  13. I checked his tools and I'm seeing Craftsman, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Husqua-something (don't remember now, even though I was just in the garage. Mom brain.)
  14. My husband has mentioned that he would like a reciprocating saw for Christmas, but i don't know anything about this and don't want to ask him much because then he'll know what he's getting. So I need some help. What are some good brands? Is this something that might be a good black Friday deal or should i buy any time? Where should I buy from? And cordless or corded? Thanks so much for any help!
  15. I'm so glad I read this. I'm ready for a tablet upgrade, and now I know which one I want.
  16. I use Santa's Bag and love it. It's 1.99 in the apple apps store. You can enter in your budget, individual budgets, gift lists, stores, prices, etc and it adjusts your budget for you as you go along, so if you're out shopping you can look and see you have $85 left for little Billy or whatever. And it's pass code protected so I don't have to worry about my kids looking at it when they're playing games since they don't know the 4 digit code to get in. It also has a Christmas countdown and several other features.
  17. We got it at Pool City about 7 years ago. I don't know if that's just a local store or not. Wish I could be of more help!
  18. Oops, racerfan beat me to the headset! Lol. His is turtle beach too.
  19. Oh I almost forgot! What about a headset with a microphone for his gaming? My brother got one and loves it. I see where your husband is coming from with the video games, absolutely. I wish I could help with more ideas. I have 4 years until my oldest son is at that age, and I'm sure I'll still be lost!
  20. Hubby and I are looking to replace the living room tv with a bigger one and move this one into the kids' playroom to replace their older tv. Our question is, are we better off waiting for the after-Christmas Superbowl tv sales or should I start keeping an eye out for the BF tv sales? I've never paid attention to the football sales so I'm not sure how comparable they are. I don't want to spend my BF fighting for a tv if I can just go out after Xmas and get a good deal on one. And we know we want a 1080p.
  21. I'm allergic to real pine trees so we've always had artificial. No mess, no allergies, and our main tree looks so real that everyone is always surprised when we tell them it's artificial.
  22. That's got to be one of the hardest ages to buy for! My youngest brother was 13 last Christmas and it was hard for everyone to come up with gifts for him. At least with girls you can do clothes and shoes and purses. Boys are so tough. My parents ended up getting him an iPod, a laptop, and a few video games. The rest of us got him video games. I also got him the Tpain microphone because I thought it was funny, but he had fun with it for about an hour and hasn't looked at it since. I think he also got some clothes, hats, and a blanket. Point is, the only thing he was into was video games, and that's the only thing that's held his interest. This year he's still into video games and now also wants gift cards, so that's what we'll do.
