  1. I think it depends on the store. Typically the items are brought out on skids but have a large cardboard box on them until the hour they are supposed to go on sale. However, some stores bring them out a little early and then all heck breaks loose. We've been to a walmart where the shoppers literally just begin ripping the boxes open and start taking things with little to no control. The movies/video games are usually mauled right away. Same with the pajamas. They toys typically come out right around the exact time. Bigger items (like GPS units) that don't need a ticket or separate line usually have someone from WM guarding it until it is time. They take off the cardboard and back away. Again, depends on where you are. Organization isn't the same everywhere you go. Be careful, and good luck!
  2. Thank ye' Really, we are hoping to land a Cinderella dress and that cinderella horse and carriage.
  3. Is it usually 20 off everything? Or does it exclude movies and things?
  4. To me this ad is epically bad. I've either already bought everything of interest either cheaper or same price with no crowd. Barely any barbie, the video game sales are the same as the 4 they've already had. So many poor products. This was the one I've been waiting for, and it isn't even going to be worth the gas money.
  5. Did you notice at the top right corner of I believe page two, it reads surprise doorbuster including tv. I think they are going to have a few to match against walmart and best buy but wanted to know what they were up against first.
  6. Yeah, definitely a "what you need" kind of add. My list here includes: The disney princess pack. My daughter wants it every time we go. The barbie jet (is this the same jet as TRU, just without the barbies?) Leap Pad games (got the leap Pad at TRU last week with a 20% coupon-don't ask, it was weird) Bambi movie and probably Rio The Helicopter I'm not in the market for any electronics (unless I can nab one of those 42" TV's from BB on the internet). So, overall, this add has lots of things I want for the kiddos. Oh yeah, BRAD, WHEN WILL WE GET TOYS R US???? LOL
  7. I'm waiting for some kind of review on that 12 volt white car. If it's a decent brand than I'll add that to my video game and movie list. I liked the blu ray until I saw the Toshiba at Best Buy.
  8. I'm assuming that that 99 dollar white 12 volt ride on is an off brand piece of trash. I've never seen 12 volt cars that cheap. My daughter's barbie jeep is pretty beat up. We need a 12 volt 2 seater.
  9. Are you sure this is the black friday stuff? I thought is was same type of thing from last year where only certain people would get those deals. Isn't this what this is referring to? HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED: To play the game, select the product you think will be most popular according to all the eligible sweepstakes entrants ("Entrant Popular Vote") in each of the thirty-one (31) product matchups ("Matchup(s)"). Once the sweepstakes ends, Ralph, Lowe's third party administrator ("Bracket Administrator") will tally the total votes received for each product in each Matchup from all eligible entries to determine the final product bracket based on Entrant Popular Vote. Points will then be calculated and tallied for each eligible sweepstakes entry by Bracket Administrator. For each correct product selection in each product Matchup, 2 points will be awarded in the First Round, 4 points in the Second Round, 6 points in the Third Round, 8 points in the Semi-Final and 10 points in the Final Round. Maybe we're talking two different games.
  10. Okay, my family is going to be traveling to Myrtle Beach for BF this year (first time). I am from PA, and have not missed in BF in the past 8 years. I know how crazy it is up here, and was wondering if... A. It is as crazy down in MB, which is more of a travelers destination B. If the small shops at Barefoot Landing/Broadway at the beach do anything for BF C. Target, Walmart, and TRU are remotely to close to one another. Thanks!!
  11. I like watching the wave of screamers in front of me tripping all over themselves. And, because I love arguing, I love talking to managers at WalMart about how they can improve themselves in future black friday's!
  12. Went in last night and overheard the manager talking to an employee about their black friday plan. So, I ask what they'd be doing for BF. 40% off the entire store. I mean, it wouldn't be add if it wasn't for the fact that it's the same deal every month. So, when I give her that "huh" look, she says, "oh, but we open really early." So, basically, they are giving their usual monthly (bi weekly?) deal but earlier and longer lines. Well, We know one place we won't be going!!!
  13. WOW, yesterday went to Target, and was looking at a kids push vehicle. When I took it out I found someone's "stash". Got 3 HP lego sets for 75% off... sorry if it was someone in heres! LOL. Burrows, Quidditch, and Dobby! YES!!!!
  14. When it comes to Legos, I'd pick them up at 50% unless you are really sure they'll still be there (at least the popular sets). I'm hoping for some of the Harry Potter sets to be put at 50% and see how many they have. If it's less than 7, I'm buying!! (Has anyone seen any Potter sets reduced yet?)
  15. My BF was pretty good. Went to Wally World at 9:30, loaded up tons of stuff to price match to TRU ad. Had NO problem. Ended up checking out at 10:01 with ALL of the stuff we were going to go to TRU for. Went to car, put in bags. Back in to Wally World! We walked around the place until the pallets started to come out. Wife camped the DVD's and got everything we wanted and the WII games we wanted. PJ's were no problem at all. Toys were easy to come by... there was a TON of everything. Shark mop, check. Got in line and was about 12th in line. Easy checkout at 12:20. To the car. Nap until 2:30. To Boscovs where we got stupid handbags as our free gift : ( Hit BonTon where we got the jewelry and PJ's we wanted there. Off to TRU for the 5 a.m. Doorbusters by 4:45. No line anywhere. Walked in, got our mega bloks and DS games, and left happy with no wait. Went back to Wally World to see if we could grab any 5 o'clock electronics deals. Sure enough we got our printer (still 2 left) our Belkin (still 4 left) and could have even gotten a couple of the TV's (not Emerson or Sansui, though). Ate breakfast at McD's. Got to Target about 6:30 and got the couple of things we wanted there (about 5 minute line wait). Overall, awesome. I'll do it again next year. So happy Wal Mart the the PM this year on doorbusters!
  16. Our locals prices hasn't changed... still 328. One has over 15 still. You'd think they'd drop the price!
  17. My netbook confirmation email went into my junk email. I was getting nervous!
  18. I'm fine spending the extra, I just wish I wouldn't have stayed up all night just to see the deal I wanted be moved into the "in-store only" group. Now, for the important part... Skins shopping!
  19. Why wasn't shipping free? I thought it was free shipping right now! They get you everytime!
  20. Well, I wanted the 150 netbook, but I did score the 200 dollar version. A super deal, but more than I wanted to go. Stupid Best Buy, why not just let everyone know last night that they were going to be in store only? Ridiculous.
  21. I'm getting too sleepy for this... what time do you think the newspaper will be at the gas station?
  22. Kind of like last year... In Wyomissing Pa. Rain, gross weather, yet we remained and got our deals!!!
  23. Target.com has removed their LOTR Trilogy blue ray from the site. How much did they lose on that deal? LOL. Seriously, Netbook come on.... BTW, We Pennsylvanians are stong, and will outlast the Best But conspiracy!
  24. could you imagine what it would look like if they pulled this stunt IN STORE? LOL. You'd see people going nuts all over the place.
