  1. Yeah, My daughter has ear issues. The only ones that don't hurt her are apple. She really hates the ones with the caps. She's 12 and loved her regular apple ones. So, we bit the bullet and got the airpods for her birthday (they were 145 at Best Buy for a while). She loves them. I hate them. They always fall our of my ears unless I'm motionless... she can shoot hoops with them and is fine!
  2. Nothing for me : ( Craptacular ad at its finest. Are there good deals? Yep, but not any better than what I see throughout the year during other sales. Just more of them here. With a couple "really great if you need it" type deals.
  3. Blah. Some solid deals but nothing that's getting me to stand in line there.
  4. Is it just me, or is this ad gawdawful???
  5. Something Star Wars related would have been GREAT for this year: Like "Gotta Deal Black Friday... The site Awakens". But, for next year I like the idea of a superhero movie... On that note it looks like Dr. Strange will be the November Superhero movie releasing next year...
  6. Yep, we want one for our 11 year old. Not buying at 300, but 200-225, and I'm in : )
  7. I don't get secretly nervous, just full blown crazy nervous : ) Seriously, I'm a mess up until the first item is in hand. At that point I can relax a bit. Too many times have I been screwed by employees putting me in wrong lines or missing an item because they just rip off the covers and people that were in the back smash people to get an item. So, yeah, I hate it until I've got something : )
  8. #1: "Okay, tents: Please line up from shortest to tallest for your black Friday Photo shoot" #2: " The Ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah" #3: "ELMO IS BACK!" "GET HIM!!!"
  9. Was the YM a gas powered? I'd pick that up... PA snows aren't THAT terrible. I'm hoping to pay about 250.
  10. Every year I say I'm going to get one. I never do. Usually only Sears has one on BF, but its usually the same price as any of their sales. But, there was one other store recently that had a great deal on one... I can't remember which one, just they don't have any B&M stores in PA. What's the best I can expect on a gas powered single stage or 2 stage?
  11. I remember on of the WM secret sales. I went in to get Biscuit the dog... on sale for like 89. Reg. 200. I was pumped and NOBODY knew anything about the sale...including workers. They were shocked when the price rang up. Something else on the list too, but I forget... hadn't planned on getting it, but for the price, thought... why the heck not?
  12. Wish the wife would allow me to buy myself some SW stuff : ) I'd love epic Yoda on my work desk!
  13. THIS ^ I hate running to the smaller stores!
  14. My friend lost her cash purse last year in Kohls. Had over 2000 in it. Fortunately it had her ID in it and an honest person turned it in. She got it the next day, but lost some deals she wanted. Two years ago I ran up my Debit too high in the day, and got Frozen. I had plenty of cash... had to call my bank, fortunately wifey and I have two accounts so it didn't stop us. So, now, I say carry both or all : )
  15. I am just excited to start making the "game plan"! And, of course, the post black friday walk through of WalMart when I see the tons of stuff thrown around the store... LOL.
  16. This is EXACTLY what mine looked like... Element TV's everywhere!
  17. Black Friday was a great time this year. We got 75% of our shopping done in a 24 hour stretch. I felt bad for the employees, but really liked being able to get out early and stay well into the morning... lots of places were making it fun, too. Walmart seemed to be the champ again. Thanks to Gottadeal I had an early plan, followed it through, and was very successful... From 99 dollar TV's, to 3ds xL's down to the movies and trinkets. Thank you Gottadeal! it wouldn't be BF without you!
  18. Hey Brad, What do they do with all of the leftovers? Do they sell them back to the maker, or do they store them? Will they clearance them for even cheaper?
  19. I did get voucher and bought it.. When I purchased online, It said they were replacing the Funai with an emerson... I know, not a major upgrade, but better than the Funai! Yeah, supply and demand... Too many people selling it for it to have an impact.
  20. Let me say, I'm crazy. Left home at 4:30 yesterday, got home at 9:30 this morning... Why is this important? It gave me the chance to see the "big stores" early and much later in the sale... Here were the BIG leftovers- AKA- the over ordered and under sold... I'll Start with Walmart: Shockingly, in my area... MOVIES!!! usually these fly off and cause uncomfortable moments in store. Not today in either of our walmarts- yep, stopped in two-TWICE! There were entire movie set ups untouched. The other thing that stuck out... Samsung TV's of various sizes. People no longer care about quality... just price. Combined, our two stores had well over 100 Samsungs still on the floor. Barely anyone took home a 50" or larger from our area. Nuts. Also, PAJAMAS! they looked untouched at both stores. Not a single pallet was even halfway empty, and in many cases, the pallets looked full! Target: Went to two of these twice as well. The EMERSON 32" was everywhere. Literally... people must have picked them up and realized they didn't want them. After store cleanup happened, and they were all moved back to original area, they formed an absolute mountain near the front of the store. Combined, the two targets will be trying to move at least 150 of them... Terrible price when you could get a similar model at WM for 98. People recognized, but Target didn't. THey also had a gazillion Barbie Jets and Hoover Vacuums. But, the biggest waste seemed to be the gaming chair with ottoman. There were TWO huge pallets of them in different areas of the stores, and there wan't a dent put into either. Going to need to move a LOT of these as well. Toys R Us. I didn't notice anything over stocked... in fact just the opposite as they ran out of all DIsney Infinity characters/sets/kits before midnight. The only area stuff didn't seem to move was the baby/toddler toys that were piled up in the middle of some isles. Kohls... Only two things in the ONE I went to... First, the LG 42" Must have been 20 sitting there as of 7:30 a.m. The other was the monster earphones. THey looked untouched. Dicks... I've NEVER seen so many sweatshirts of various styles just thrown around a store. It was horrendous. We took a little break for kids clothing... Gymboree, Justice, and Childrens place were ghost towns. Heard one employee tell someone on the phone that they sent home 5 of seven employees. Best Buy: Wholly Samsungs batman! Not to mention Insignias. They were piled up all over the place. Even the great deals were just sitting there at 1:00 a.m. The ONLY line people were waiting in... XBOX ONE for the mystery deal. And they aren't even on sale. Overall... Stores are going to need to find a way to get rid of some of these TV's. I'm guessing Target will have a clearance on those Emerson's soon.
  21. our walmart wasnt as bad as past years. We wanted a 32 inch for 98 dollars "IN Stock Guarantee." We saw the huge line for it, and instead of waiting for a Funai, we simply waited till about 6:50, went over and grabbed a voucher. I came home, put in in the computer to order, and got surprised with an Emerson 32" instead. Cool. There must have been 50 of these still sitting in Target when I left there at 8:00 a.m. I guess nobody wanted to pay 200 for a cheaper model when they could get it for 100 at Wally World.
