Thanks-that's very interesting! So,you'd say,for the average viewer who just wants to watch Blu-Ray movies and HDTV (like sports) but no gaming that 720p would be sufficient? If so,that'd save me a lot of money!

Thanks! I'd love to get some of my shopping done by just clicking a button lol.

I had one item in my cart but then I ordered it so mine is empty now. I have several items on my Wish List though!

I got out my Holiday movies the other day but am holding off until after Thanksgiving (I like to give each holiday its due). Must sees: It's a Wonderful Life A Christmas Story Jingle All the Way but pretty much will watch any Christmas movie :)

Thank you :) It's amazing to me that these things are released on Facebook!

I'm hoping to score The Office dvd at Meijer on Thanksgiving Day for $8! Too many other good deals to mention before I have them in hand....it's only good for you if you get the deal.

Girls or boys?

Thanks! I clipped the coupon but haven't made it to CVS yet. I'd LOVE a $13 ECB for BF!

As a girl,we traipsed the stripper pit hills of southwestern Indiana to find a good tree. Daddy would haul it back to the house. It smelled like Christmas :) We have an artificial tree in our house as we go OOT after Christmas and a real tree just dries up and is painful to take down after days of no water. I always try to bring in the smell of a real tree by purchasing a real wreath or swag. That way,we kind of get the best of both worlds.

Those were posted earlier on the BF site.

I've been waiting for this- THANK YOU!

What store will you no way/no how shop at on Black Friday??
HansieDZ replied to Danascraps's topic in 2010
I don't mind Menard's (they have some odd things),but the one time I attempted to go there on BF,there were no carts to be found, the check out lines were almost all the way to the back of the store (they don't have that many checkout lanes) and I gave up. Now,I will shop their 2 day sale as it's almost deserted on Saturday. As someone else mentioned, quality is not necessarily the main reason for shopping Menard's but they have some unique things and our stores have expanded and reorganized. -

Toys R Us,Best Buy and Menards. That still leaves me plenty of other stores to shop in though -
I agree! I hope they still have some things left for the Saturday sale because no way would I get in that mess on Black Friday!
-
If they're not open the whole day, employees still have time to enjoy the holiday with their families. I worked every Thanksgiving in a restaurant and I was shocked at how many people don't actually cook a meal on Thanksgiving! I will be out shopping at Meijer on T'Giving Day so I will stop in at Sears and at least pick up the electric blanket for $14.99 and will probably buy some clothes then too. Frankly,I've been doing Black Fridays for going on 17 years and I've yet to do it at the mall! This will give me a chance to give Sears some of my money that weekend, because ordinarily I wouldn't shop there then.

Cambells Chunky Soup $0.44 @ Kroger w/coupons......
HansieDZ replied to Angelseyes28's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Thanks Angeleyes! I'm lucky in that my Kroger (Scott's) triples coupons up to 50 cents. I can get some pretty good deals that way. -
Lol,that's rich but I can go you one better: went to Menard's tonight (NOT for Halloween stuff) and their Halloween candy wasn't discounted at all-it was still full price! When our WMs went to 90% off Halloween items but only 50% off candy last Sunday,I never went back to check when it went any lower. Good thing I got what candy I needed at Target.

My closest one is open 24 hours but I think the sale starts at 5 a.m. I know last year I was there on Thanksgiving Day and they had at least some of their BF deals going on then.
-
I'm waiting on the Thanksgiving Day and 3 day ad myself! We can mention WM just not any specifics about their BF ad,from my understanding.
-
I didn't know there were any Wags that weren't open 24 hours but I can say that while we have a Wags on nearly every street corner, folks are out EARLY for the BF sale but I've always got what I went in for within an hour of opening. IIRC,the sale starts at 5 a.m. and I'll go to my fave store then hit 1 or 2 others during the course of the day. With this being the first year for such a good sale on Thanksgiving (to my knowledge),I'll get there around 6 but I really don't know how the crowds will be. If they bring in extra stock-like the As Seen On TV items-I should be okay. If it is limited to stock on hand,I might have to end up getting something I might not need. I didn't know they had Spongebob Snuggies so I will keep my eye open for those! I hope they're not only in kid sizes cuz I love my Yellow Fellow

I mail out about 25 but hand out about 10 more to locals. I still appreciate getting cards and hang them up over my doorway to the living room.

I have been dipping pretzels for about 15 years and freeze them with no problems! As a matter of fact, when I first started making them,I decided to put them in the freezer because they were so delicious I couldn't stay out of them (to avoid temptation). Unfortunately,I found out I liked them even better when they were frozen! I make mine with the bark coating: I don't know how they would taste frozen with real chocolate. I had to start freezing my baked goods because I was so busy shopping, wrapping, etc. right before Christmas that I found I didn't have time to do if I didn't start early and freeze items.

Anyone else started to panic because they are not done shopping?
HansieDZ replied to AudreyNicole's topic in 2010
I explain to my little ones who still believe in Santa that he doesn't bring EVERYTHING on your list, just the ones he knows you really would treasure and that are right for you. It is much harder when they are younger and still believe that "well,Santa isn't poor like Mom and Dad so he will bring me what I ask for!" If you are wanting a quantity of presents under the tree (and the little ones do love to see a pile a presents with their names on the tags!),then wrap up every little thing you buy for them so it looks like more and they like unwrapping many things. Try not to let the stress prevent you from enjoying the season :) Take a little time each day to just breathe in the smells.listen to Christmas songs and look at the lights & decorations and remember that the loving home you provide for your family the whole year long means more than a few minutes spent unwrapping gifts. Peace and blessings to you this holiday season! -
Whoo hoo I've been waiting for this one! Hope it has the T'giving and BS ads too. ETA: Nope, just the BF ad but some good things on there for me and mostly things I can get until noon!

Free shipping DEFINITELY makes me want to order from WM!
