  1. Thinkgeek.com sells stress balls of a zombie virus: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/e8f1/?srp=1. They also sell a zombie game and mug and a few other items. Not specific to the show but fun nonetheless. And though there is no "zombie virus" product at www.giantmicrobes.com, you might find something useful or funny there to include. Good luck! Great idea!
  2. About 11 years, since being with my then-bf now DH, who used to coordinate for his mom for BF. I never did BF before that, but he showed me how fun it could be to be done with Xmas shopping by 9am. Now wondering how we're going to do it with DS and DD both under 2...
  3. Yay, so excited! Thanks and congrats to all the winners!
  4. 1. I hate to tell you, but this is the line for Toys R Us. Target starts on the other side of the parking lot. 2. Who needs hand warmers when you can have hand slappers? 3. She is practicing being one with the bargains. "Ohm... my goodness, the deals!"
  5. How about a Christmas carol rewrite contest, where you have to turn it into a BF song? I guess you have a lot of writing-based contests already, though... Or have people find clips in non-Christmas movies or tv shows where a character says "gotta deal" or "got a deal" and post the clip (or if that can't be done because of copyright, then post the timestamp/approx time into the episode, name of the show, name of the episode). Best use of a coupon for a Black Friday sale - have people find coupons and post the link (if online) or information where to find it (ie: sunday's newspaper, SmartSource.com), and explain how to combine it with a sale on BF to get an awesome deal. Best deal wins! Find the 12 Days of Christmas in the BF ads - find deals in posted BF ads that correspond to the 12 days of Christmas (Partridge in a Pear Tree could be a Partridge Family DVD and a Harry & David's pear gift box, e.g.) - post links to all the items or ads for verification - most original, most accurate, funniest wins
  6. $10 dunkin donuts gift card
  7. #1: "Do I hear $35 for the Batman doorbuster? $35 for the Batman... Going once, going twice, SOLD to the lady in the back!" #2: Forget UFC! Get your mixed martial arts action fix at Target this Black Friday! Fights starting nationwide at midnight local time. #3: "...It's Black Friday, Black Friday, Gotta Deal on Black Friday, Everybody's looking forward to the discounts, discounts, Black Friday, Black Friday, Got Deals on Black Friday, Everybody's looking forward to the discount..."
  8. Usually BF or Saturday depending on how busy BF is... Although this year is our first with a little one so I'm not sure what the new routine will be!
  9. I kind of liked the zombie theme too but I can see how that doesn't quite have the celebratory or timeless feeling to it; it's more suited to any other general year tshirt. Maybe a slogan like "I'm armed with bargains and I'm dangerous with a shopping cart."
  10. John Denver and The Muppets Ruldoph's Shiny New Year Ruldoph and Frosty's Christmas in July Little Drummer Boy Frosty the Snowman How The Grinch Stole Christmas Santa Claus is Coming to Town Jack Frost
  11. I like the hot chocolate idea, you could throw in some marshmallows too and they take up space.

  13. Congrats Jen! Cutest doorbuster ever.
  14. I think the really big screen tvs are not such great deals this year. Sure there's a 50 inch tv at Walmart for $300 (GREAT deal) but the rest of them are $700 or more, and they're not all smart tvs either. Then you have the 51 inch tvs for less than a 50 inch! And if you go up even to 55 inches you're talking close to $1000. Terrible prices. I'm really disappointed.
  15. Update! My doctors upped my due date by five days, so now I'm technically 32weeks 3days, which means I'll be 33w5d on BF. I'm also on "take it easy" orders to keep me from burning too many calories or from going on bed rest, and the nurse and doctor both said "No shopping trips.". To which I replied, "Online shopping?" and the nurse patted my knee and said, "Now you've got the right idea." DH and I are still planning what we might need to get on BF, and right now we're focusing on a 50 or 55 inch tv. I've been told I can go as long as I agree to be the getaway driver . So I'm a little bummed that I'll miss out on the store experience but it's only temporary and for a good cause. Congrats to the new gotta deal mommies-to-be
  16. I love the thrill of getting a great deal, when your hard work and planning pays off. And it's a great bonding time with my husband. And I love coming home early in the morning with most of my Christmas shopping done!
  17. Usually Black Friday and that Saturday depending on our energy levels!
  18. Today I saw they have their gift section up and running... Deals for gifts under $10 and gifts under $50. Some great gift sets but I'm waiting to see what their BF is going to be like. Can't wait!
  19. I just started today for my DH. Since I'm now 28 weeks pregnant I figured I might as well get a head start in the very worst case scenario that I might be out of commission later in December...
  20. 1. "Go ahead, help yourself. I'm waiting for the tvs on the pallets in the black shrink wrap." 2. "What? THIS is the line for the ladies room?!?" 3. "Oh, if only I could return everything on this cart... And I mean everything... darned lazy good-for-nothing..." ::grumbles::
  21. Christmas trees were set up and Christmas music was playing in the entranceway in my local Lowe's store last night... eeks! Let's at least get through Halloween!
