I love my winter hat with the GD logo. The GD pen I had was one of my favorite pens and went with me everywhere. Other item ideas: notepads, cooler or picnic bag, large reusable grocery or shopping bag (we have to bring our own bags to stores in NY).

I second the batteries! I feel like we go through them like water. Christmas lights.

This one is easy and delicious and smells so good cooking up... I add much more food coloring than the recipe calls for to really make them look like a creamsicle. Orange Dreamsicle Cookies 1 pouch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 tsp orange extract 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 egg 5 drops yellow food color 2 drops red food color 1 1/2 cups white vanilla baking chips 1. Heat oven to 350. In a small bowl, whisk egg, food coloring, vanilla, and orange extract. In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar cookie mix until well blended. Mix in egg and food coloring mixture. Once soft dough has formed, stir in baking chips. 2. On ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough with 1 1/2 tablespoon-size cookie scoop or by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart. 3. Bake 9 to 10 minutes or just until dough is set (do not overbake). Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely.

I'm sure everyone is cooking a little more at home lately. I know I am! Up your cooking game with the Ninja Foodi, pressure cooker, air fryer, steamer, dehydrator all in one. Your working from home friends will love being able to make restaurant quality food quickly. Your daughter who moved back in with you and hasn't learned how to cook on her own yet? Teach her how to make a meal without much prep work. And for you busy parents who are home schooling or remote schooling - make great food your kids will love. They might even like your air fried chicken nuggets better than the school cafeteria's! https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-FD401-Fryer-Stainless-Pressure-8-Quart/dp/B07S85TPLG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ninja%2Bfoodi&qid=1602618729&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1

I saw a commercial for this and my mouth nearly dropped. First of all, how did they do that? Secondly, how long does it take? And finally, why didn't I think of that?! With a name like "Slambulance," how can you not get this for the kids in your life? WWE has found a place in our hearts during the lockdown, especially Friday night Smackdown. The Slambulance helps your kids get in on the action - imagine having The Miz drive this beaut to pick up AJ Styles but then the Undertaker shows up? Watch out! https://www.amazon.com/WWE-GNK12-Wrekkin-Slambulance/dp/B07Y93RJTC/ref=pd_gwm_ci_mcx_mr_hp_m_4?pf_rd_s=blackjack-experiment-2&pf_rd_t=Gateway&pf_rd_i=mobile&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pd_rd_wg=5qk8x&pd_rd_r=503SEXSN3FY4TP0VJ72E&pd_rd_w=YFGXG&pf_rd_r=503SEXSN3FY4TP0VJ72E&pf_rd_p=bc864345-089a-4d4c-8db4-76392105d32f&pd_rd_i=B07Y93RJTC

I think I will be doing more online shopping than usual, but if there ever was a year to support local businesses this is the one. I don't mind pick up or curbside. Tough thing is most of my gifts are for children, and it's hard to find local stores that have what I'm looking for other than a small book store.
-
I will miss the people watching and the excitement of actually getting what I wanted and having it in hand. You just don't get that same rush when you shop online.

Started at B&M at 5am Friday. WM was fairly empty as it had been last year; got most of what I wanted except for the $4 movies and track suits for DS. JCP had plenty of doorbusters but was hard to find all their location. Walked into Best Buy at 8:05 - no line, no tickets, and got the doorbuster in store that was not available for purchase online. I'm still in shock about that one. I waited in the checkout line for maybe 10 minutes but I've waited in worse. Home by around 10:30 and finished my shopping online for items that are not sold in stores. Seems like moving so many Black Friday deals online has almost negated the necessity of Cyber Monday....

For controllers for the Switch, is there a difference in performance or compatibility with off-brand controllers (like Insignia) versus Nintendo official controllers? In other words, is it safe to save myself a few bucks?
-
I'm considering a chromebook for my 7yo DS birthday as well... I'd go for a touchscreen chromebook, it's easier to use than a mouse and alas, the way of the world...

Got my kit Monday! Thanks so much Brad!

Just for fun: the $39 Virgin Mobile clam shell camera phone. Although, wouldn't be able to read the GD bulletin boards on it.

1. "Maybe we should get Mom a gym membership for Christmas so she doesn't have to keep pushing us around in a cart for leg day. #swole" 2. Workers at a local Amazon distribution center engage in teamwork in an effort to confound Amazon's efficiency algorithms. 3. "Slide to the left.. Slide to the right... One hop this time... Two hoops this time... Cha-cha real smooth." Already won a prize package but I love this contest and wait for it every year.

Last year I got a great deal on the previous year's Barbie house on Amazon - my DD didn't know the difference, just loved the house! Congrats and thank you!
-
Looking for bigger items this year... A touchscreen Chromebook that's a decent quality / ability to withstand children longer than a week for about $150 would be perfect. Though there usually aren't deals on the price per se, a Nintendo Switch bundle for family for $300 or less would be great.

I've seen money folded on a piece of cardboard to look like a button down shirt, then walked inside a box like a regular present.

My young elementary school age kids love playing air hockey at the arcade. What's a good brand for home use? Where is a good place to find one? Thanks!
