  1. Ewwwww! Some of us WERE eating!
  2. Last Year I taped a storm cloud on my shirt and had a water spray bottle. When people asked who I was I would spray people and say I'm Hurricane (fill in fav hurricane name here)
  3. damn I just enter and like 2 people just left. Curses!
  4. I am no PC guru but I know the old Desktop I have I wanted to upgrade but only certain types of RAM can be used with my CPU. I think the max compatible with my CPU (older HP) was not enough to get the 512 MB I wanted. then again I dont play games on my CPU and just surf the net, chat and ummm trade stocks and check my email on my desktop PC. Probably not worth the upgrade for me.
  5. Not a fan of Walmart and make an effort NOT to shop there. I do agree their BF deals are a joke.
  6. Extra Controller, HDTV cable.
  7. The only way to stop the selling of tickets is either: a.) Have the stores not give out tickets 2.) Encourage buyers not to buy the tickets. Make the demand low. Either that or lowball the ticket sellers with $10 for the ticket. F.) Call the police if it's against local laws or let them know when they make their rounds. Luckily for me no stores in my area I go to on BF have a ticket policy.
  8. Hit : Mp3 player w/ video (even though i am not big on music but found out I can put podcasts of radio shows on it) Miss: Large oversized novelty remote. Thought it was a joke gift but it was not. Tried to return it but the store refused (Brookstone) even though the box had their store name on it. Vowed never to shop there again. Went to the centre of the mall and stood on a bench and said "Who wants to trade for a large remote?" Nice lady traded me a box of tea for it.
  9. You might want to mention you have to pay for the 360 online services. Also untrue as the PS3 has 520 games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_3_games) and the 360 has 545 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games) I don't want to start some silly fanboy war here but can't let something that obvious slide. People come here for unbiased info (I hope) and pushing a certain console on them is a disservice.
  10. Dont get me started on yard sales! Just last year the small town in Cali I reside in now forces you to pay $45 for a yard sale permit and has lots of rules on the type of signs you can put up and how early you can start it and how late you can stay open. If you make a certain amount of $$ you have to pay the city a % ! Also no baked goods for sale at the yard sales and they also made it way too expensive for kids to have a lemonade/Kool-Aid stand! I mean $25 for a daily permit? Give me a break! Though for yard sales in cities that don't care it's cause the police are fighting real crime and not harassing honest hard working people trying to make some extra $$$.
  11. From Calgary (GO FLAMES GO!) but spend my winters in sunny California. With the good deals and lack of PST and GST some Canucks save a lot on BF!
  12. Bout 10km. Depends on who is tagging along and what store has the deals I want.
  13. Ok it's official. It's halftime during the football game and I am logging on just to see if an ad is posted...
  14. I guess we will just have to disagree then. I don't see 15w as significant. Nor do I truly believe the heat issue is a factor. The other reasons are valid but the electrical reason is not IMO.
  15. Either get a used PS2 or find one of the older PS3 models. The newer PS3s do not use significantly less electricity. 15 watts less is not that much. Let's say you play one hour a day for a month. That is a mere 450 watts less (0.45 kW). My electric bill charges 0.03 per kWh. My point is don't base the purchase solely on the electricity savings.
  16. Frys as I need a few computer and electronic items. I agree about Target as I was able to hit up all the stores I had on my list and drove back home and got my gf (at the time) around 9am and she was able to get a few DVDs she wanted for cheap at Target.
  17. GameCrazy is open that day. My friend used to work there every holiday and hated it. Although he did get triple time for pay.
  18. Gosh I dunno. I take a vacation every year (was too busy this year to do it earlier!) and planned on Europe the last two weeks of December. Thus affecting my BF spending budget. Though my budget is dictated by the ads/sales.
  19. Yes PM me if you want them. I would post them here but then everyone would use them and the codes would be invalid after one use.
  20. I cleaned house at the Linen & Things somewhere near me. I went there when it was 40% off and got nice towels for $4.99 a piece. At 80% off I got a nice shower curtain for under $6. at 95% off I got a drink dispenser for alcohol for $1.25. I also got a filing cabinet from the back for $5 I also returned on the final day and asked if they any CPU equipment in the back room. I was told make us an offer and got a mouse, keyboard and Monitor for a total of $20.
  21. Well I have mentioned this story before on here but here goes.... I was fairly young and needed a few extra bucks for the holidays. I got a job at TRU. Overlooking the fact that was I treated poorly working there prior to BF. On BF I was being a helpful employee to all the BF customers. (it was my first BF experience!) Well about 10am or so rolls around and this lady demanded a Furby. I told her we are sold out and had been hours ago. She refused to believe me and cursed at me and called me a #@$*ing liar. I told her that yes the ad stated we have Furbys but they were sold out within the first 30 minutes. She went on at great length about how I have ruined X-mas and that the ad said "We HAVE Furbies" and NOT "We HAD Furbies" therefore we should HAVE Furbies! She refused to understand that we were sold out and took a board game (monopoly) and threw it at me. Bounced off the back of my shoulder (my back was turned to her) so I grabbed the game and threw it right back at her! It was more instinct than anything else! The manager tried to get me to apologize to her and she kept shouting and cursing. I walked away and promptly quit.
  22. I have frequented McDs twice now and gotten lots of those footlocker codes for % off. In a perfect world I would trade for the codes on the regular game pieces but am willing to give the discount codes away to those in need of them.
  23. JackieP - last year two of my American friends tagged along and the store only allowed X number of people in at a time. Well my friends told the employee in front "Aw let him in he is Canadian" and they let me in! Then at another store the employee was checking receipts and my same friends said "It's OK he is Canadian" and the employee just waved me through the line! Are we really perceived as that non threatening? LOL
  24. I use mine for grocery shopping as the bags are way way way too small for anything else. Even then I tend to buy a lot of stuff at the grocery store so I am left using a plastic bag (which is used for my bathroom trashcan liner) I know they are passing a law in my area soon so it is now 25 cents more (tax) if you use a plastic bag at the store.
  25. I own a business and I am not 100% sure on Florida law but I had a booth at a street fair and wanted to hand out free snacks (pre-packaged food) to promote my business but nope. I was required to get a food sales permit. Even though I have a sellers permit and fed and state tax ID number. That and I am assuming you do not own a business therefore you do not have business insurance either. All it takes is some assclown to claim they burned their tongue on your hot beverage, choked on a cookie...etc and sue you. I do admire your capitalistic spirit and entrepreneurship though! :)
