  1. Found lots of the orange dot Dollar Spot stuff for .10 (glow wands/sticks/bands/critters/slinkies/silly putty/ooze/bouncy balls, mutlicolor light-up balls and ducks, tiki party items, cat toys). Also scored some summer 90% off stuff, including beach towels for .69 and a freezable Cool Gear "chiller" cup with straw for .49. There was no clearance signage to be found in either store I went to (!!!), but thanks to my fellow Gottadealers I knew what to hunt for. A big thank you to those posting about the sunscreen. I actually found three different multipacks scanning for $1.39 each, all Coppertone: Water Babies Pure & Simple spf 50 lotion 8 oz with bonus 2 oz 037111115, Water Babies Quick Cover spf 50 spray 2-pack with bonus 1 oz lotion 037111113, and Ultra Guard spf 30 spray 2-pack with bonus 1 oz spf 50 sensitive skin lotion 037111112. They expire 10/13 and I was able to use coupons so they were practically free and I am set for next year too. No signage or clearance tags on these either, but they scanned 1.39. Also found some nice gardening stuff 75% off, a bubble watering nozzle and a canvas and mesh wide brim hat. My faith in Target may be renewed...
  2. 90% in north DFW area. Managed to get everything I wanted despite someone stealing things out of my cart and then denying it. Other than that, everyone was really sweet and helpful. No lights, trees, decor or housewares to speak of. Mostly wrapping paper, individual ornaments, gift bags, tissue, and miscellany. Found some stuff in the regular aisles. I need help for my tape/scissors/pop up tape addiction, LOL! Candy was still 50% and not much left. Car care gift sets were 75% off on an end cap, good to squirrel away for Fathers Day.
  3. Went to two stores this a.m. Opened at regular time (10 a.m.) and throngs were waiting just like BF. Lots of crazy shoving and stroller ramming. Clearance items were extra 50% off, some beauty items like fragrance sets were just 50% off. Coach was wiped out within 5 minutes. Much smaller selections and longer lines than last year. Told hubby we might just skip it next year, although both stores are two easy miles from our house. I'd rather lounge around in pjs sipping coffee!
  4. Scored some bulk stuff at 50% off: Method hand soap refills I have been waiting on for $2.98 and Aveeno scrub 2-pack for $4.98, less than the price of one scrub. There was also a lot of body wash (Dove, Dove Men, Olay), soap (Olay), and lotion (Dove, Aveeno, Jergens) at 50%. Diapers are freakin' everywhere but none were 50% that I could see and they are still flying out the door. Got a tabletop gas BBQ I have been stalking and a couple random gardening items for 75%. The Save Event stuff was all over the store on every endcap. Had to scan everything because clearance stickers have not been kept up to date.
  5. I'm surprised, what store(s)? I was at W. Plano and Frisco today and it was 75% at both (only 50% on candy). More left at Frisco, surprisingly enough. 75% signage was up.
  6. All I ever saw were some heart rate monitor watches and a yoga block. And the HRM's were gone before it went 75%. It's better pickings when people are no longer thinking about swimsuits and bare arms! I may be wrong, but I think in the fall they condense down the fitness section to squeeeze in more holiday and football type stuff, so that may be why there is more fitness stuff clearanced then.
  7. Oops, ya missed it, it was with the Sporting Goods that wrapped up a couple weeks ago. You didn't really miss out, though, they didn't have much fitness stuff this time. They tend to have more fitness stuff clearanced after summer is over (September I think?)
  8. What I saw: Lots of shower curtains (fabric, plastic, designer & kids styles); shower curtain rings (chrome, bronze, decorated); very limited selection of towels and rugs; bath accessories (soap pumps and the like, I mostly saw colored resin, crackle glass, bronzey/amber resin, and wooden country cabin style, tough to find matching sets); a limited selection of bath hardware at 75% off, very few and far between; bath hardware, wire organizers, bathroom scales and bathroom furniture pieces that are still only 30% off. HTH.
  9. Most of the curtains and rods were marked down today, although the selection was not as good as I would have hoped (but, to the poster looking for the rods with pink finials, they had a ton at 75% off!) I did manage to get a few curtain rods/holdbacks and a pair of curtains. It was tough finding a matching pair, and all the long lengths were gone. If you have tweens they had Exhilaration and RE curtains and sheers in bright pink, green, black, and fun textures for very cheap (some were $1.24 each). There were some bath items 75% off also (shower curtains, soap dispensers, etc). Was sad that I missed the booklights, there was a gaping hole with a 75% off sign where they used to be...darn winter weather! I missed out!
  10. You're lucky if you still have heaters - the only thing I've seen left here are humidifiers. Of course we've had a little extra cold weather in Texas this year I'm stuck in the house for another "snow day" as we speak. Anyway, last year they went 75% around the middle of the month, so maybe next week or the week after.
  11. Hey, sorry, have not been on in a while... Baby clearance around here has not been very good, not like in years past. I've seen larger items at 50% but they were mostly tandem strollers (seem to be a lot of those on clearance). Have not been to Target this past week due to the weather, so not sure if everything's been salvaged. I'm in Collin Co. Hoping to get to at least a couple stores this week before Snowpocalypse Part II.
  12. They do a smaller clearance in the summer, I think around the end of July. If you missed out this time, sometimes the stuff seems to end up at discount stores like Marshall's after it has been salavged, so you might want to check there. Or possibly even Goodwill, some Target salvage stuff ends up there.
  13. Last year the fireplace tools (and heaters) went to 75% around Feb 18th. I can't remember if they went to 50% in the interim or if they went straight to 75%. And of course, I have no idea if this year will be the same. Dwindling stock at 30% is never a good sign.
  14. West Plano. Rechecked it today and it was almost completely wiped out, WOW. You might try Allen?
  15. Scored a bunch of the camping markdowns, including Kelty tent, shade canopy, screen house, and bag/organizer, also some air matresses and a camp stove. Also got a bunch of the Nalgene bottles and golf balls. Saw a bunch of stuff I didn't expect to see at 75% (and didn't buy), including lots of kids' camping sets (adorable), a big Coleman tent, a lot of fishing stuff (kids + adult), bike helmets (mostly kids but some adult), Razor scooters, kids bikes (in boxes), kids and adult golf sets and bags, air hockey and ping-pong tables, and inflatables like those Gigaball things. I swear there was a ton more stuff than last year even. What I did not see but hoped to: adult bikes, camp chairs, folding tables, adult sleeping bags, decent luggage (like Swiss Gear), and coolers that weren't broken or messed up. Was hoping to see Domestics marked down further this week but no luck. I think some stuff went from 30 to 50, but I don't think anything went to 75 here.
  16. I checked my "notes" from last year, I'm pretty sure the New Year's sale is the only time I saw them do the extra 50% off. They did extra 40% off in February and July last year (those were the only two that I noticed and/or shopped at). Maybe someone else will have more insight for us. I really blew it this New Year's, I was too lazy to get up and score the good deals. Oh well, my wallet thanked me (it's the one I bought at New Year's 2009!)
  17. If you are into celebrity perfumes, I saw sets of Halle Berry, Tim McGraw, Sean John and others marked 75% off ($7.48), plus they are marked as having coupons inside - if you open the box (which is not sealed), you can use the $5 off coupon inside making it $2.48 for the set. Look for a little triangle in the right corner that says coupons inside. There were other celebrity perfumes on sale for the same price that did not have coupons , Kim Kardashian is the only one I can remember. Unfortunately, Axe sets were still 50% off here, and no movement on camping, domestics, electronics, or anything else I've been watching.
  18. Good finds! Just wanted to let everyone know that this is on a store-by-store basis. Of the two stores near me, as of yesterday, one still had additional 40% off clearance and had a rack of .97 markdowns (making them .58!) The other store was a complete bust - no addional markdowns, no .97 items. Probably best to call first if you're concerned about wasting gas and time. I've noticed they are continually doing markdowns and dragging new stuff down from the "hidden compartments", so you never know what you'll find.
  19. Went to two stores today, one had extra 30% off clearance clothing and several racks of 75% off. Both stores had a rack of Champion women's workout attire and heavy winter coats 75% off, near the PJ's. No sign of the clearance pots and pans or Corningware, it all mysteriously dissappeared. Looked for 75% off Yankee Candle and Sporting Goods and no luck, either, still 30-50%.
  20. I don't Costco ever has open houses/free days. I know you can ask to look around, but you can't purchase anything without a membership card (except the pharmacy, which is open to anyone). You can also pay the annual membership fee ($50) and they will refund it anytime if you aren't satisfied. Or you can split a membership with someone else since you get two cards per household.
  21. I went to check this out today, thanks OP. Almost identical to Costco, maybe with a little Walmart and Smart 'n Final thrown in. I had to line up at Customer Service and give them my ID to get a free temporary card. They tried to get me to buy the $100 premium membership and said I would get a free $25 gift card (no thanks). Like Costco, they don't take manufacturers coupons but they do issue their own coupons from time to time for members. And also like Costco, they take cash, debit, and their own credit card (maybe a Discover branded card? not sure). I ended up not buying anything because I already belong to Costco and they had pretty much exactly the same stuff. It also rubbed me the wrong way a bit - dirtier than Costco, less friendly staff, and *gasp* no samples! Edited to say, also a little bit more expensive than Costco, at least here in N. Texas.
  22. I also have seen larger baby items at 50%, including drop-sided cribs (weren't these banned?), changing tables, baby gates, strollers, and swings. Not a large selection, though, and I don't expect them to make it to 75%, but you never know.
  23. Drove by today and signs in the windows say Extra 30% Off Clearance... so sad. Hoping for better.
  24. Found a few Christmas stragglers today - a Hickory Farms summer sausage for $0.49 and a giant Hershey's kiss for $0.39. The kiss will be tucked away for hubby's Valentine's, since it has no Christmas markings on it, just red kisses. Bath sets were 50% off including Axe, Dove Men, Herbal Essences, and Olay. Wish I had some coupons. Hoping they will be around at 75%. Saw the car cleaning sets mentioned earlier for $7.50. Quite a few baby items are already 50%, even big items like cribs, as are a lot of sporting goods. Saw some boxed kids' bikes for 50% off. Should be a fun January!
  25. The 50% off signs are not the "extra 50% off clearance" signs. I got sucked into the store when I saw "50%", but it's just "up to 50% off clearance". Yeah, whatever, things were 50% off BEFORE Christmas! Last year the extra 50% off happened mid-January so I'm hoping for next week (or maybe even Friday!). They will need to consolidate coats and sweaters to the back of the store to bring in new spring clothing.
