When your local Target is in need of people, does the manager grab the telephone book, the telephone and then randomly call people and say "Hello, This is Ray. I'm the manager at the downtown Target. We are hiring. Do you want to come for us?" It sounds silly doesn't it? It's the same for surveys and research companies on the net.

That site won't last. All ready, in the very beginning, they can't even come up with anything new and/or original. If at launch they have only stolen material, a terribly ugly site layout, no idea how to run the very basic community run projects we have here (i.e. coupon trains) admin and mods that are sleazy and sneaky in the way they deal with people, some people they once called friends, what kind of "business" can they "run"? They won't have any kind of solid user base. Why go to a place that can't even be called 3rd rate, deal with people of their moral fiber, and whose information is coming from sites that are doing it right. Are first rate. That have a stable, loyal user base that cares about each other the way we do here? There is no reason to go there. In a few months when that site is in the toilet those people will be choking on their own arrogance. The knife wounds in our backs will have long since healed while the reality of what they have done slaps them in the face. Having completely burned all their bridges here they will have to go contaminate another site. If another site will have them. Word spreads fast. If they were willing to stab us in the back they will have no problem doing it again to another site.

It's they way they weave the threads that give it that look. I don't know exactly what the process entails though.

Gosh, I loved those! I wish they still made those. My last one was 15-20 years old when it croaked. I miss it. I've has 2 in the last two years. They just don't last.

Well, for myself, I did Not approach people with the attitude, thoughts and feelings I have expressed here. Just because these are the things we think and feel does not mean we express them to customers. Customers, however, do not do the same. That is the point we are trying to get across. That we are people too. We have our limits. Think about the way you (you being a generalization) treat people. For those of you that don't think the type of customers we have discussed are not the norm you are sadly mistaken. I know that there is some difference regionally. In NYS customers are far worse than they are in WI, MN and MO. However, maybe in your happy fairy land, this isn't the truth but in retail reality, it is. We are people too and deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. We have bad days just like you do. None of you have been short with your Hubby? Kids? Co-workers? Don't throw stones. Did the OP not come here to blow off steam? We need to do the same. I see far, far more posts on this site with customers whining over the smallest things and expecting the world in return as an apology, than I see CS reps. complaining about the customers. Why do you think that is? That comment was not directed at you OP. I think you have a valid complaint. The CS should not have done that. I do, however, think you overreacted by calling corporate. Just cut these people some slack. Let it go and get on with life. It's better for your heart and soul.
