  1. Let's see we buy for the four of us, my mom and brother, my dad, my sister, my other sister and her family (six total), my in laws, my sister in law and her family (5 there), 5 coworkers, and one teacher....so about 27 total.
  2. Christmas Dinner normally consists of my family of four, my mom and my brother. Christmas Eve dinner has my sister in law and her family (5 of them), my family (4), my mom and my brother. So the most we have on a normal one 11. this year may be different as my father may be coming into town as well as my sister and her family from Vegas (there are six in her family).
  3. I always talk my mom into making me buttermilk biscuits on Christmas to go with the eggs, bacon, and sausage.
  4. Wow, I remember my grandmother making this!
  5. I'm pretty lucky in that I live in a really small town with an equally small JCPenney. I normally hit Wal-Mart then go over to JCPenney (they are right next to each other) and pick up the snowglobe, last year I ended up with five snowglobes, between me, DH, my niece, and my mom. I don't think the JCPenney here has ever run out of snowglobes, there just isn't enough people who go pick them up. You can go pretty much anytime that day and get one.

    Farm and Fleet

I just got my Fleet Farm Toyland catalog yesterday, it says the toyland opens the 14th.
  8. You know sometimes I quesition others parenting, when they let their kids run rampant through the toy department I work in (and I don't mean the normal kids will be kids rampant, that I can handle) but I would never ever say it out loud to a customer. I would have thrown the flyer at him too!!
  9. I just went back and looked through the archive from 2005, the first ad was posted on 10/30.
  10. I send them to my parents and siblings, dh's parents and sibling but other than that I don't send pictures out. Of course I'm a few years behind on sending photos so I really need to do that this year.
  11. I realized the other day how much I love christmas wrapping paper when I went through two totes for birthday wrap and couldn't find ANY!
  12. We do Christmas with my sister in law Christmas Eve, when we get home it's bedtime. The kids normally get to open one present before bed. I pick the present and it's always new ornament (I buy them a new one every year that represents something they really liked that year such as my son got spiderman last year). They hang it on the tree and then head off to bed. Christmas morning we have to wait for my mom to come over before gifts are opened, after that we watch the Disney parade on tv.
  13. We do the kids, and us only. I am planning on doing little gift bags for my nieces and nephew this year with things like chapstick, toothbrushes, candy, etc.
  14. I use the crawl space in my attic, the door is really heavy so the kids can't get into it yet. The really big stuff I hid at my mom's (she lives one house down from us) in her basement, again the kids never go down there. When they get older I will need to find new places. As for my list, I keep it on my laptop, no one ever uses it but me and DH.
  15. I try to be done by the middle of December but it never fails, every year I have to go out on Christmas Eve to pick up that one item I forgot on my lists.
  16. Normally my kids don't make a list so much as give me ideas of what they want. My 7 year old wants star wars related things and my 4 year old wants Dora/Diego stuff.
  17. Oh that's too bad about the Cocoa one but I need to get on the phone and order some of the candy cane one. Thanks!!
  18. I bought some from Partylite last year called Candy Cane. I loved the smell but I'm not sure they will bring the scent back this year. They also have a cocoa one that is wonderful.
  19. I normally don't regift but this year I am regifting the bottle of wine someone just gave me for my birthday to a friend of mine for Christmas. I don't drink wine and she loves it.
  20. I spend about 200 per kid (only have two) and that includes the 100 grandma and grandpa send every year. Some years I spend more, some less...it just depends on what they want that year.
  21. Normally we have Thanksgiving either here at our house or at my sister in law's house (we try to trade off Thanksgiving and Christmas each year). I normally make the turkey regardless of where we are eating and I make at least one side dish. My sister in law does the other side dishes and we normally buy pies from the local bakery for dessert. We haven't made the decision yet on which house to have it at (going to do that on Sunday at my daughter's birthday party).
  22. I'm like alot here, I normally have it on but don't just sit and watch. If something happens I missed while walking around doing other stuff, I just back my Tivo up and watch it again. My kids love the balloons, I can't wait to see what they have this year.
