  1. yup it was black, and they had tons at ours got one for my cousin last year there.
  2. the way I load songs for my kids mp3 players is off of cd's, load the cd's onto you computer and then onto the player, you can also buy them all over the internet.
  3. Santa baby and carol of the bells!
  4. mine always go into the linen closet under a huge pile of extra blankets, but they are on to me this year so I need to find somewhere else
  5. omg I need to start wrapping, I don't think I can get anything else in the linien closet and still be able to find towels and I have a walk in one, plus stuff in the garage too!!!
  6. we never do breakfast on christmas, unless it is like dougnuts or cinnimon rolls, we just do finger foods and ham with sandwitch fixings, that way everyone can pick all day and the kids get to play and the adults get to visit without being interupted by a formal dinner.
  7. Just got home in time jump in on this so I guess I am not too pathetic......
  8. ever the more reason to be vigilant
  9. Thanx got one for my picky pants cousin, one gift down!
  10. yes I know about the hunter saftey class, it is something my son has to complete for scouts and to get his orange card to go hunting, we live in a rual area where guns are a way of life.........
  11. I have been shopping BF since I was in high school and I have never camped and never will, and I have always gotten everything on my list, but I have not ever going for high dollar electronics either, I always catch them on sale other times of the year.........don't mind standing in line, but no sale is worth missing Thanksgiving with my family.
  12. I looked at ours today and couldn't find any, but I only looked in electronics and not up front so maybe I missed them.
  13. I know I can answer this for my household, it is because we want to teach gun saftey, we have guns for hunting and our son has a bb gun, but guns are not toys, therefore no toy guns. All guns are kept locked and even bb gun time is adult supervised and they must go through at least an instuction and gun saftey talk with the local police dept...........I know personally it really erks me when people give my son toy guns as a gift without asking........anyhow sorry to get off track
  14. here is an idea that might work for some this year I am doing it for both my kids 7 and 10, is the stuff for a study area in thier room, I am getting each a desk, chair, rug, lamp, marker board and calander plus some little desk accessories..........we redid thier rooms over the summer but did not get this stuff, that is something I have learned over the years, always leave yourself something to buy, my kids get a couple things that they will really play with and then the rest is usually practical stuff.
  15. I always get somthing for our pets, but I do not go all out, if I didn't have children to buy for maybe, but anyhow walgreens usually has pet beds and such on sale on BF, I remeber getting a really nice raised bowl there one year so you might check them out.
  16. Don't get me wrong, I love Amazon sales, but I am always too parinoid to wait for it alone, I pick up good buys all year, and there is no way I would wait for the Amazon sale to get started shopping, if I can pick up somethings from the sale that is just gravy!
  17. I noticed this too, and keep telling myself it is time to fill up the kids summer clothes totes ( i buy off season every year) but with the holidays I just can't focus, this sale usually isn't until later it seems............
  18. right now I would be happy with anything, but realistically: walgreens, jcpenny, gander mountain, old navy, bbw, gamestop, elderbearman and kmart
  19. don't know if you can get by until then in WI but if I don't pick my kids coats up on the end of year clearances I always pick one for them up on BF for about $12-$15 sears usually has good ones on sale that day. I personally refuse to pay fullprice for a kids coat they are way too hard on them
  20. seems like it maybe was something that he is now embarassed of, I remember the year that the shell shocker rc toys where out and they where pricey so that is probally what grandma got, that is what I would have done to fill the request
  21. good for them, looks like everyone is trying to open before walmart this year......I personally vowed two years ago never to do another sears opening, they had thier BF items on the floor the entire week and everyhing was pretty much gone, a total waste of time.
  22. we always but the tree up thanksgiving weekend and then I start wrapping a bit each day while the kids are in school, it is so fun to watch them come home and try to figure out what the new things under there are!
  23. Ok what does everybody do in stockings?? my kids are in those twilight zone years where they are not really little kids but they are not teenagers yet, and in years past I have done candy and small toys, but I am wanting to start heading more towards things like bodywash, bodyspray, accessories, socks, boxers and that kind of stuff so what does everyone else do, I have a dd7 and dss10
  24. Yeah I noticed that too at a different store today, tought maybe just because I was at a different location because they had tons left like it had never been marked down.
  25. we got ours last year at walmart on BF I think we paid around $140 for it complete but it is only 12" we have two kids and it is plenty big enough for them though!
