Well I am thinking that I am going to cave and get the kids a WII this year so I will be hunting accessories and such for that, other than that just the staples, PJs, tools, DVDs, Electronics, whatever catches my eye

Ok so one question, are we going to be able to buy a GD t-shirt this year???

not sure what part of the country you are from, but Fred's Dollar store had some, not the exact brand, but they look the same.

in years that we didn't have a fireplace, we have done the stair idea or off of a shelf, or if all else fails, let the kids lay them on the coffee table christmas eve and santa can fill them and lay them there

The Devil wears Prada, I am around that age and finally bought it for myself when it was on sale on BF, it was the first movie in a long time that I actually enjoyed watching by myself, guess I can relate I have had my share of "evil" bosses.......what is she interested in?

fresh french bread and some flavored spread, I also secound the cheese board idea, things like this make easy appetizers to get the party going.

my answer may seem a little cruel to some, but when asked this question of why another kid gets more from santa, I explain that child probally was not very good and its parents where afraid that santa wouldn't visit their child this year so they bought gifts too and pretended they where from santa, they usually except this because usually the kids that brag are the spoiled ones that are not very nice and thier parents get them everything they ask for.

I think that the trend towards only buying "usefull" vs luxury items was very evident this BF, I know at our local walmart they sold out of the clothes and PJ that where on sale almost immediatly (we wound up at kmart for kids pjs), but 30 mins into the sale, I walked up and picked up a portable DVD player right off the pallet and there where still tons, in years past it would have been the other way around.

I am after one too, I am betting maybe 3-4 per store max........hopefully not that many people will want to deal with that large of an item that morning, goodluck!

as much as I hate to admit it, walmart for me, then radio shack and a couple other local stores, at least I don't have to leave town this year :)

This will be my first year making Kmart an early stop (we usually don't get there till about 10 or 11) and I am wondering if anyone has ever attempted to price match there and how it turned out??

do they have the papers from the larger (or a larger) location available in your stores, I live in a small town but I can buy the papers from other towns here.

last year NY and CO had a free gift w/ purchase that morning, it was pretty nice, I re-gifted it.......

Has anyone seen anything from this department chain? It is the last ad that I am waiting for, our store (peebles) has been stocking more toys than usual and I am curious to see what will be on sale. Any info would be appreciated.

Has anyone seen or heard anything from this store, I know they are more of a regional store and over the past year they have closed alot of locations, but there is one still open by me and last year it was our favorite stop so I was wondering if anyone had any info or if I was going to have to wait until next thursday to find out like last year.

me either, this will be my big stop for this year and i am going to keep my fingers crossed, I want a trampoline and i bet the have maybe two

I cannot believe they do not have a cheap desktop!!!

i know about three year ago ours managed to open before walmart and had a wonderfull sale, after that they have been like walmart both opening at the same time and same items year after year, but with all the hype i saw in the store i am hopefull

is the emachines just a monitor or the whole desktop system??

I found a Olympus digital camera giftset in walmart today sitting all by itself, it was in holiday packaging (you could have stuck of bow on it and gave it) and it had accessories bundled with it, it rang up $149 when I scanned it, I didn't have the cash or I would have gotten it for my mom, it was the only one in the whole store, I even checked the camera case so I am wondering if this was not supposed to be out yet.

saw big signs posted on the doors at our walmart (non supercenter) that they will be open on Thanksgiving today, the lady at the front door "greeting" was complaining about it to a customer that she knew, but I didn't hear any mention of any sales

for those of you that have these I have a bit of info for you, they are doing secret saturday sales like walmart, this week they had a kids first MP3 player for 9.99 and some other toys I did not look at them all........also they are opening up at 5am on BF and they where opening a huge box of WII and PSP games ( the box was as tall as me ) and the manager said that those where for the "sale" and closed them back up.......tried to talk the checkout girl out of a ad but she was not too friendly, I am going to try and go back when someone I know is working.

not a bad price on the meat grinder, but I am not going anywhere that has a gander mnt this year and it is not exciting enough for me to change my plans
