  1. Ds5 loved his Indiana Jones castle and star wars figures Ds8 liked the Wii Fit that I got for his dad. I really thought they were gonna love the nerf vulcan guns, but they haven't even opened them yet.
  2. Did you pay by credit card? If so they can look it up without your receipt.
  3. We bought one for both the boys. They haven't opened it yet, but I guess we'll see when they do. What kind of problems are you having?
  4. Nice... I think I would get a very strange look from the kids .
  5. Every year I always forget something and am running to the store on Christmas Eve. This year I forgot cookies for Santa and the carrots. So now I will be standing in a 3 hour line tomorrow to get them .
  6. If it was given by somebody you know well, I would say something. If not, I wouldn't even bother, I doubt the embarrassment is worth 10 bucks.
  7. Thankfully, no. I get along very well with dh's family and he does mine. We always do Christmas Eve at dh's aunts house and my family has always been invited. I do have a BIL though that really gets on my nerves, but I just grin and bear it. Christmas is only once a year so I just suck it up. I think every family has that one person you could do without, but they are still family.
  8. I was able to get everybody everything on their lists with no trouble this year. I think the only "hard to find" items that were on the list, were the nerf vulcan guns and a Wii fit. Walmart had the guns on bf and I got the last two and I went to Target not even looking for the Wii Fit, but I saw about 3 just sitting on the counter and was able to get one. I think I had a little bit of luck this Christmas.
  9. Thanks for the idea! We are going to make them tomorrow. We made the candy mice this year for their classrooms, and they came out sooo cute. Here is a link: http://www.recipegoldmine.com/chrcandy/christmas-mice.html
  10. New Mexico- High in the 50's, cold nights 30ish. No snow though :)
  11. We always go to my dh's aunt's house in the mountains. We have a huge get together, then get home around 9pm, take showers, kids get their new pj's on, get them to sleep and then the Santa work begins.
  12. I was at Target yesterday and picked up a Wii fit for my dh. It was an unexpected purchase and I didn't really do much research. I thought you could buy other games to use with the system, is that correct and which games? Is there anything else that he would need to go with it? TIA
  13. We are baking this weekend. I plan on doing a huge batch of fudge (that is my favorite), chocolate chip cookies, spiders, cupcakes, and pumpkin rolls. We already made the little mice cookies for the kids classrooms.
  14. I probably wouldn't have even bother to call , but thats just me. OP has the right to do what she felt was necessary. I do think that this has turned into a big spectacle that is way over the top now. At this point I would just drop it. If you keep pushing the issue, somebody could potentially get hurt. You don't know this man well enough to know what he is capable of, especially if he did loose his job. I don't think trying to win the argument over one package is not worth it.
  15. I got my niece that exact one at Walmart on bf. HTH
  16. We do too. Ds8 loves scratching them and he is luckier than I am :).
  17. Christmas Vacation Home Alone A Christmas Story Nightmare Before Christmas The Santa Clause The Polar Express It's a Wonderful Life Jingle All the Way
  18. I agree with the previous posters. I bet it was somebody walking by and saw it laying at your front door. They opened and tossed it under the porch. I think if the driver had tried to steal anything in it he would have not left it there at all. It would have made more sense for him to say it was delivered and someone must have taken the package.
  19. Was this the one from black friday? I bought 2 for my kids, but I wrapped them before I even looked at it :). I didn't even know they had extra belts for them. If not, does anyone know how much the belts are?
  20. How about a cheese board with slicer and some cheese and crackers. They can use them for appitizers and have a nice set when it is all done.
  21. Wow, that just triggered a memory. We don't do that now (I forgot all about it), but when we lived in Germany (army) and were growing up we used to do this.
  22. Wow, you all have gone WAY BACK :). I guess that goes to show that the music was cleaner a long time ago.
