This is the first year that I started my shopping so early (July), but I'm not sure if it was worth it on my checkbook. I have probably spent twice what I did last year and went somewhat overboard on presents. I saw so many good deals between then and now that people who should have only gotten only 1 gift now have 3 or 4. I have kept a list of who I have already bought for, but I just keep adding on, and on, and on.

Ok I just noticed on the tag that it says "This Bratz product is marketed for girls 8 years old and above. The beauty products contained in this collection are real cosmetics. Parental supervision required". I have been trying to find some reviews online, but I have not been able to find this product. It is called the movie star traveler. If anybody has any info on this I would love to hear it. So since it is real cosmetics do you think it would be ok? Thanks!

It's not like that fake makeup you would buy for small children. It has eyeliner,lipliner,eyeshadow,lipstick,body shimmer, glitter, all the makeup brushes and so forth. I am pretty sure that she will like the makeup. I guess my concern is that the "Bratz" case might be to babyish for her.

Hi Guys, I bought the big Bratz makeup suitecase for my dsd 11 1/2, but now I'm doubting that purchase. She dosen't live in the same city as us so I'm not real sure what she is in to and I only have boys. Do you think that Bratz is to babyish for that age? The makeup inside is actually quite pretty.

Wow, I didn't realize these were so hard to find. We pre-ordered ours from Gamestop, so we already have ours but the Sunday after bf we were at Walmart and they had still had probably over 100 lining the isle in front of electronics.

When my ds was 2 (he's 7 now) he opened not just 1 but all of the gifts. It was the weekend and we were sleeping in, well everyone but him. We awoke to find that he had taken all the presents from under the tree in the living room into his bedroom and unwrapped every single one of them. The look on his face when I walked into his room was priceless! We still laugh about this story to this day. :)

Ours only had about half the lanes open, but that was more than enough since the store was DEAD!!

We went to Walmart after shopping and lunch around noon. There was plenty of parking, cashiers standing around and plenty of "doorbusters" left. I have never seen it so dead on a regular Saturday let alone bf. Maybe next years ad won't suck so bad! :)

I totally understand you bieng upset, but just take a moment to think about what happend and what could've happened. Whenever life throughs me a blow I just think of how much worse it could have been and how many more people have it much much worse than me. Keep your head up you'll get through it! :)

Here are some that my kids get every year: Denny's Cold Stone Creamery Baskin Robbins Red Robbin Tony Romas Sonic If you sign up on line they will email you a coupon for a free dessert or meal. I think that Sonic and Denny's send them through snail mail.

I got this for my ds6 at Toys R Us. That is the only place I have seen. I haven't seen it in any ads so far. If I were you I would pick it up right away, I think it is only go to get harder to find.

I say DS. My ds6 has already gone through two PSP's (one his,one his dads) and last week we bought him the DS. Hopefully it will hold up better if not at least it was cheaper!!!:)

My boys are still young 4 and 6 so I do not count clothing as gifts. Since they don't care what they wear at this age I feel that is my duty as a parent. However when they are teenagers and want to pick out their own $150.00 jeans then Yes that will be a gift.

Correct. We have it reserved at game stop and it comes out on the 20th. The neighbors are gonna think we're crazy!!! :)

They do have a 4 day ad every year from Sunday-Wednesday. I haven't seen it yet, but would LOVE to if anybody has it.

I worked at Ross for 3 years and they never had a bf sale. I used to always wonder why the store was always so packed on that day, I guess people will shop whether there is a sale or not! :)

I absolutely agree that it is not his fault. My husband has been to court and that is why we get him a week during the summer (she convinced the judge in her state that the schools where she lives are better than the ones where we are). Before that she didn't let him see him from the time he was 4 until he was 7. They were not married and my dh was not listed on the birth certificate so that complicated things even further and then we get a call from the state of nm saying that she is getting welfare here (even though he pays child support in a different state) and has 3 different men listed as the father. He is getting older now so I am hoping that when he turns 13 we can go back to court where his opinion of where he wants to stay will actually matter. It's too expensive to have to keep flying to a different state to pursue this every year. What a mess!!!!

This is where I have mixed feelings. We hardly ever see him. Unfortunately his mother is a royal#@*^! and makes it exremely hard for my husband to have a relationship with him. We have to send gift cards, because if we send an actual gift she will call screaming that she just can't believe that we bought gifts at Target, Wal-Mart, etc.. One year she actually mailed a Tommy Hilfiger shirt back to us, because it came from Ross and not Dillards. I also don't want my boys to feel bad, because if we spent the same on their step-brother he would actually end up with more since he receives gifts from two families. It's just a really sad situation all the way around and I just which his mother would grow up and quit using her son against my husband and realize he is the one suffering here.

I have an 11 year old step son that does not live with us (in fact he lives across country) and we see him only for a week during summer. Me and my husband have 2 boys together and we always spend alot more on them for Christmas, but I always feel bad. Everyone tells me that he also gets gifts from his mother and receives monthly child support and that I shouldn't bad. Anybody else have this situation and what are your thoughts? Thank You!

I went to Targt this morning and found 12 pack bundles of washcloths (the nice decorative ones with the ribbon and bow on top) for .74 cents. Now I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with 120 washcloths!!!LOL
