  1. BB will be giving out tickets at 3am, as it says in the ad. But the line will start long before 3am, so you can't show up at 2:30 and expect to get a ticket for a doorbuster.
  2. Most places don't offer doorbusters online, you better check first. I stopped at a Kmart last night to find the 20% coupon and had to get a car charger for my cell phone. There was this lady there asking for an item and they apparently didn't have any (who would've thunk it! ) The worker said that maybe they'll get a shipment in a few days, the lady is like "the sale is only til Wednesday!" So the lady asked if she could have a raincheck and was told no. So she asked for a manager, saying that "it isn't right that you don't have something you advertise and then don't give a raincheck either". I don't know what the outcome was.... But it's typical Kmart, the stores are unorganized, dirty and not very customer friendly. If Sears wants to turn these stores around, they need to work on these issues. >>getting off my soapbox now<<
  3. Where can you get the coupon?
  4. Christmas Shoes - makes me cry every year the first time I hear it.
  5. Anyone have info on the CC lines in middle TN?
  6. That's what's difficult. Some people buy them up just to re-sell them and some are genuinely buying them as gifts. I have three kids, not triplets, but my sons are only two years apart and it felt like raising twins for a while, we pretty much got two of everything.
  7. It's all in good fun and they know that. They will do the same thing to their kids one day.
  8. Is that until and including saturday? Also, how does the BB price match work?
  9. My BB last year came through the line with tickets and when the tickets were gone, they did announce that ______ item is sold out and yes, those there for that particular item left. This was at about 4 a.m. Each store is different, be careful about generalizing.
  10. I agree with everyone. Your step-son is a part of your dh, just like your sons are. How do you tell your dh that you spend x amount on "your" children, but only x amount on "his" son? The boy didn't ask for his parents to get divorced, and he certainly doesn't get the child support check. Don't punish the child for a situation he has no control over. It's a shame you only get to spend such a limited time with him, I'm sure he would like to know his brothers (and stepmother) better. You never know when the day might come that he comes to live with you, especially since he is approaching the teenage years and will want to be around dad more than mom. At least you know you always did right by him, and he will know it too. My family's situation is a little different. Dh's mother plays favorites with the grandchildren. She gets her daughter's children a ton of gifts, while our kids maybe get a $5 dvd. This has caused many a fight with dh and I. But that's a whole different thread.....
  11. If you can, I would go with a DS, then you don't have to worry about upgrading next year. You can get DS and SP games since both play on the system. The nice thing about the DS is that you can buy one game and both kids can play it together (as long as it says WiFi). My dd has Mario Kart and she plays it with her brothers (all three have a DS), they just download the game from her system via WiFi, no extra attachments or anything is necessary for them to be able to do this.
  12. If your kids are that young, I would definitely go with the Wii, if you can find one...
  13. Mario Kart is a fun DS game. When buying games, check and see if they have WiFi. If it does, then all of them can play together with one game. That's the nice thing about the DS, gives more bang for the buck! My dd12 got her DS (mario kart bundle) last year, i think, and her and her brothers can all play the game because they can download it from her DS and they are race against each other. Ebay and Gamestop sales are good places to get games.
  14. My kids like Wii sports, esp. bowling. My ds17 really enjoys the Zelda game. We bought the old Super Mario and Galaga (remember those?), dh really likes playing those (games he knows how to play and understands! lol)
  15. We always wrap Santa presents, in our house Santa brings one present, which is their "big" present that year. If it wasn't wrapped, I would miss the excitment and anticipation as they see their gift for the first time. I gotta hold on to all the xmas magic I can get, all of mine are teenagers!
  16. Be careful with cheap paper if you have kids. Last year my friend wrapped some of her kids' presents in wrapping paper that had a white background and some kind of design on it and the kids could see through the paper and knew what the gifts were. I use wrapping paper, I pick out different designs and colors that I like. I like there to be as much color and variety under the tree as possible.
  17. I don't buy it yet because it has to be in Christmas colors! Duh! I get the kids (17, 14, 12) deodorant, cologne/perfume, socks, gloves, hat, candy, lottery scratch-offs, and some stuff more personalized to the kid. dd gets lip gloss, earrings, and other girly stuff. Boys get sports stuff, oldest will get car stuff this year. One of my co-workers said her mom wraps everything in the stocking, I think I might try that this year. It will take them twice as long to get through their stockings! I also do a stocking for dh and for our 3 four-legged kids (aka dogs)
  18. My ds14 loves the Jones sodas, I might have to get him a xmas pack and wrap it up as a xmas present! lol
  19. I commend all of you, I stopped doing teacher gifts years ago. Between three kids there are 20+ teachers, not to mention coaches that spend as much time with them a week as the teachers, if not more. I just can't afford it. With them all being teenagers, the making a card idea isn't realistic and wouldn't be heartfelt. At these ages, they don't appreciate what their teachers do for them, they will later on though. I also couldn't justify it to dh since we stopped buying presents for his nieces and nephews because there are just too many of them now.
  20. I'm with you here, I have stuff hidden all over the place and am worried that I will forget something.
  21. I always tease mine, got to have some fun in there somewhere, they sure love to torture us! Last year we had ds14 convinced they were getting a Wii for xmas (dh was returning 20gb ps3 for 60gb ps3 and had ds with him, so had to come up with a coverup). Ds thought it was so great that he knew what the big present was and the others two (ds 16, dd12) didn't know. Boy was he surprised on xmas morning where there wasn't a Wii, but a ps3!! He was so mad that we duped him! We were actually trying to get a Wii, but couldn't find them anywhere, he ended up getting one for his bday in January :)
  22. What are McDonald's game downloads?
  23. It's no longer available
  24. Doorbusters aren't usually available online, unless specifically stated in the ad. I don't know if the bundle is a doorbuster or not. I would call CC and see if it will be available online.
  25. BB ad says they will start handing out tickets at 3am
