Anyone heard anything about if Walmart is going to do the special/secret Saturday sales again this year? I got my best deals at one of those last year.

There are a couple things I want, can probably get them online. The washer/dryer deal is good, too bad I just bought my Samsung washer 4 months ago.

Not only is it a blue-ray player, it's the best one you can get! Since PS3 goes online, it downloads updates to itself. It always has the most recent software. If you buy a regular blue-ray player, it will get outdated, the PS3 will always be up to date. You can also got on the internet, pull up pictures from your memory card, etc. It's a good investment, and much better than the Xbox 360 IMO. My sons friend has already gone through about 3 Xboxes due to the red ring of death. Not to mention the Playstation Network is free and Xbox charges for Xbox Live. We bought our PS3 when they came out and had never had a problem with it. We bought a second one last year for our younger ds (tired of listening to the fights) from WM. They had the Sat. special going where you bought the system and got a $100 gc, plus they had some PS3 games for $20. What game does your son want?

The only thing I see is the bedding set I planned on getting dd. I'm not very impressed with the ads this year. Hopefully BB will have something to get excited about :)

My FIL got dh a flanned jacket that might have fit dh when he was 12, it was ridiculous. They can't even spell our kids names right, even though they get a picture xmas card with all names typed out.

I have to give kudos to my WM. Unlike some of the other posts I've seen, my store only had 4 laptops and only a couple of the 42" tvs So to try to make up for it for everyone, they pulled a bunch of laptops from the back and let those next in line go through and pick what they wanted and gave it for the $298 price. I also wanted the 42" inch tv. They had those ppl go on the other side of the register to get those, and so I didn't end up getting one, even though I was first in line for a tv. The manager knew I was first in line for that, so to make up for it, she gave me the 46" Sharp LCD for the $498 price, the price sticker on the box says $1178. I was very impressed with my WM, they could have said "sorry, sold out", but instead did everything they could to make all the customers happy.

They were in store only, I lined up for the PS3 and laptop last year. Both are still well used today. I'm hoping to get another laptop for my younger son this year.
